Chapter 1410: Chapter 22 Surge in Reputation [Please Subscribe to the Official Version]

After causing a massacre, Jia Yan departed.

After all, he wasn’t made of iron. Stirring explosions and engaging in a battle—despite his Evolutionary Creature physique—had left him exhausted.

Jia Yan arrived on an uninhabited celestial body not far from the Doom Squad territory. There, he retrieved an avatar hidden in the vicinity, and swiftly entered subspace to escape.

Though he had left, the shockwave of his actions had only just begun!

A Secondary Powerhouse, even one who had already gained renown across the entire Dark Realm, had this time committed an unbelievable feat: annihilating the Doom Squad’s main star, devastating several surrounding celestial bodies, and killing over ten thousand strong genius creatures. The event shook the entire Starry Sky.

Jia Yan’s name, through this act, truly stirred the entirety of the Dark Realm.

"What? A Secondary Level wiped out nearly the entire Doom Squad? Could he have the support of some top-tier external power?"

"No, didn’t you see the news? This guy isn’t backed by any force nor assisted by any allies. And yet, he single-handedly obliterated Doom Squad’s main star, destroyed several nearby celestial bodies, and even caused the deaths of over ten thousand critical genius members of theirs—including one of their most formidable High-Level Semi-permanent Star Registry elites. This has already sent shockwaves through the Dark Realm; how could you not know?"

"There’s even such a thing? I have to go check it out!"

"Mo Ke? Insane! No, terrifying. A Secondary Level existence capable of triggering an artificial black hole... No wonder there were already rumors that weird gravitational waves appeared during his battles. Turns out it’s because of that black hole."

"Although that black hole has since exploded, who knows if he has another up his sleeve? In the future, steer clear of provoking him! Also, his faction—what’s it called, Ting Tian Pavilion? Don’t mess with them. Although small, their level of madness and danger is not to be underestimated."

"Indeed, Mo Ke can no longer be described simply as a Secondary Level. His degree of threat far surpasses the typical Semi-permanent Star Level, even edging out High-Level Semi-permanent Star Registry elites. After all, even they couldn’t manage to annihilate Doom Squad’s main planet."

...

On his return journey to Ting Tian Pavilion, Jia Yan was completely oblivious to the fact that his news had virtually instantaneously spread across the Dark Realm, faintly rippling outward even toward the nearby ordinary factions and starry regions.

Of course, a horrifying Secondary Level capable of triggering such celestial destruction was someone the entire Genius Battlefield sought to avoid. If this incident hadn’t occurred in the Dark Realm, it was possible that the Stellar Level figures within the Genius Battlefield might have already stepped forward to scrutinize Jia Yan.

Events such as this rarely occur in the Dark Realm. Naturally, there are no guarantees. If Jia Yan had completely destroyed the entire Doom Squad, it is likely even the official forces of the Genius Battlefield wouldn’t remain silent.

Within Distorted Space, a metallic-colored monster traversed through the dimension.

"This battle, if nothing else, subtly improved my own strength. Especially in terms of Space Talent—it feels as though I’ve gained a greater sense of subspace."

Jia Yan moved swiftly through subspace aboard a conceptual ship. Throughout the extended flight, he realized his subspace talent had undergone a substantial enhancement as a result of the recent battle.

In reality, it would be impossible for his skills not to improve. Considering he had controlled dozens of space stones, suppressed the black hole explosion, and simultaneously traversed countless distances—all while pushing the limits of his Space Talent—it was inconceivable for progress to lag behind.

Thus, even though the conceptual ship’s capabilities and speed had diminished, Jia Yan found himself navigating subspace with far greater ease.

"No matter how significant the losses of the conceptual ship and space stones are, my true strength ultimately lies within my own body. No matter how great the damage to the conceptual ship or the depletion of space stones, as long as my body improves, it’s well worth it."

Jia Yan’s eyes gleamed with a trace of delight. Progress in his body’s strength, which had recently stagnated, was now reignited within the heart of life-or-death battles and pure madness. To Jia Yan, this development was akin to discovering a diamond amid rubble.

"Although I can predict that the shocking events I’ve caused may deter forces from provoking me temporarily, with time, some factions—or remnants of Doom Squad’s strong members—will inevitably seek revenge. Therefore, I must start planning to recover these lost resources. Otherwise, relying solely on my body, surviving in this Dark Realm won’t be so easy."

After pondering deeply for a while, Jia Yan accelerated abruptly.

More than half a month later, outside Ting Tian Pavilion’s planet.

A ripple of subspace fluctuations gently tore open, and from within emerged a metallic, crow-like monstrosity, stepping out slowly.

Yet no sooner had he exited than the creature froze in place.

The creature was Jia Yan, and his momentary daze stemmed not from encountering enemies but from gazing at the familiar Ting Tian Pavilion planetary body, which now felt strangely foreign to him.

Before his departure, Ting Tian Pavilion’s planetary landscape had been desolate, its environment largely barren. Though Jia Yan had gained a bit of notoriety in nearby celestial regions, within the broader Dark Realm, his fame had only slightly taken root, and whatever visitors came were mostly from afar.

The previously uneventful scene had somehow transformed entirely.

Outside Ting Tian Pavilion’s modest planetary decor, battleships dotted the skies, and new buildings had emerged, even resembling the faint streaks of prosperity.

"What’s happening?"

Jia Yan’s heart was filled with curiosity as he even faintly caught sight of battleships belonging to nearby large factions.

Although these major forces weren’t overall stronger than Doom Squad, several of them possessed Intermediate Talent Semi-permanent Star Level figures—a considerable threat even to the current Jia Yan.

Jia Yan pondered for a moment.

Then he withdrew his body into subspace.

His avatar, however, remained outside.

Controlling the avatar, he advanced with a cold expression.

Due to his inability to stray too far from the avatar—lest it cease to function—Jia Yan vigilantly trailed alongside it within subspace.

He sought to understand the current situation.

"Lord Bi Huangfu, you’ve returned!?"

As the avatar slowly approached Ting Tian Pavilion’s planetary surface, a Secondary Level being who had observed its form through the planetary monitoring system scrambled out of the planet as if his life depended on it, a look of reverence on his face that exceeded even meeting an Intermediate Talent Semi-permanent Star Level.

This display caused every entity waiting within Ting Tian Pavilion—whether faction scouts or diplomatic personnel—to look up in awe.

Among this rabble were Intermediate Talent Secondary Level beings, a handful of Secondary Powerhouses, and an exceedingly rare few dignitaries.

Despite the myriad gazes of so many powerhouse entities, Jia Yan’s controlled avatar remained utterly unfazed as its sharp gaze pierced the individual who had flown out to greet it.

The figure was a former star thief Jia Yan had once taken under his wing.

"What’s going on here?"

Jia Yan asked coldly.

"Lord, these are representatives from nearby factions visiting to pay their respects to you and Sir Mo Ke. Each of them brought gifts."

The Secondary Level subordinate, sensing the avatar’s indifferent demeanor, hurriedly restrained any smugness from his tone and behaved more cautiously.

In truth, these supposed subordinates of Ting Tian Pavilion’s occupying forces had recently been reveling in euphoria!

Originally, they had believed themselves to have joined a faction led by a relatively strong Secondary Level individual—a faction that, regardless of strength, wouldn’t stand out in the Dark Realm and might collapse under the weight of stronger forces at any time.

Yet to their shock, a few days ago, news arrived—a message that the head of their faction, Sir Mo Ke, had been ambushed by one of the top large forces of the Dark Realm, Doom Squad, during an external operation. Not only did he survive, but alongside Lord Bi Huangfu, he faced several High-Level Semi-permanent Star Level figures, fought them to a standstill, and left unscathed.

This alone was extraordinary—a story of two Secondary Level beings facing a group of Semi-permanent Star geniuses and surviving—surely a legend to amaze anyone hearing it.

However, the true legendary event followed later!

Perhaps enraged at being ensnared, their faction’s leader, Sir Mo Ke, audaciously assaulted Doom Squad’s headquarters planet!

Normally, in such a scenario, an angry Secondary Talent existence would at most wage a suicidal attack on the outskirts of Doom Squad’s territory, dragging a handful of opponents down with them. But Mo Ke was different!

He actually stormed into Doom Squad’s deepest domain, employing an unexplained artificial black hole to trigger a devastating explosion that left Doom Squad wounded beyond measure, even killing one of their elites—a High-Level Semi-permanent Star Registry strength figure.

Not only did Sir Mo Ke accomplish all this, but afterward, he valiantly wreaked havoc on the Doom Squad rescue teams, slaying even more before leaving unscathed.

Such feats weren’t merely legendary—they bordered on divine!

No Secondary Powerhouse genius in history had ever pulled off such a terrifying accomplishment. Not even High-Level Semi-permanent Star Level strong individuals.

Thus, the nearby factions and groups, trembling with fear, had come to pay homage—a sight deemed perfectly reasonable by the Secondary Level subordinate, who now casually accepted their gifts with an air of entitlement and superiority.

What entitled him to such arrogance? Naturally, the fact that he served under Sir Mo Ke!

Yet now, observing the discontent of Lord Bi Huangfu—a figure capable of contending against Intermediate Talent Semi-permanent Star Level powerhouses—this subordinate felt a pang of concern. After all, they hadn’t refrained from pocketing "small tokens" here and there, greed spurred by their poverty-stricken, former pirate ways.

"I see."

To the subordinate’s surprise, however, after hearing his explanation, Lord Bi Huangfu showed no visible annoyance and, without speaking further, proceeded directly toward Ting Tian Pavilion.

Jia Yan certainly wasn’t angry—he was simply astonished at how quickly the surrounding factions and groups had received word of the event. He had expected the news about Doom Squad’s ruin to reach here only after he’d returned.

"Excuse me, is this Lord Bi Huangfu?"

Just as Jia Yan’s controlled avatar set foot on Ting Tian Pavilion’s surface, a voice swiftly carried over.
