Chapter 1356: Chapter 9 Kill for Me! [Subscribe to the genuine version]
On the massive celestial body, countless futuristic space battleships stood, surrounded by small turrets densely scattered across the starry sky like locusts.
Flames of war loomed outside this star, poised to ignite at any moment.
At the epicenter of these battleships and turrets stood two creatures—a large one and a small one—staring each other down.
This was Jia Yan and the most powerful fighter of Naer Power, also the envoy sent by Elong Power to conquer the 251 Star Zone in the past—King Er.
King Er’s entire body radiated the brainwave power expected of a semi-permanent star level powerhouse, lightly pulsating. He gazed at the Supreme Monster before him, much smaller in size compared to himself, silently sighing.
Finally, the monster he once admired had reached this point. And simply through his intuition, he realized—despite magnifying his expectations of Jia Yan—he had still underestimated him.
"Jia Yan, you’re still a Dignitary now, but I sense an aura from you that threatens me. At the very least, I wasn’t mistaken when I regarded you as a high-level genius."
King Er looked at Jia Yan, speaking with a mix of admiration and emotion.
"King Er, I won’t thank you for that."
Jia Yan shook his head, responding calmly.
The other party might have favored him, but it had brought disaster upon Wu Ci Power, nearly leading it to annihilation. How could Jia Yan feel gratitude?
Besides, this so-called admiration had offered him no tangible benefits—the only gain was the pressure it brought, which had accelerated his growth during his adventures in the 132 Star Zone.
"I understand. You’re here today to fulfill our duel, correct?" King Er wasn’t surprised by Jia Yan’s lack of thanks and responded matter-of-factly.
"Beyond that, there’s also the matter of your Naer Power attempting to wipe out my Wu Ci Power. Don’t you think it’s time to settle this account?" A flash of cold determination gleamed in Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes.
"My Naer Power trying to destroy your Wu Ci Power? Why don’t I know about that? Could it be someone from my forces acted on their own to cause trouble for Wu Ci Power? Well, I truly apologize for that."
King Er chuckled dismissively, attempting to evade responsibility.
"King Er, though I can’t coexist peacefully with you, I used to respect your audacity and accountability. But now, at this stage, you still want to play innocent? Seems I was wrong about you. Luckily, I happen to have a prisoner here—let’s see if you have anything left to say."
King Er sensed a faintly familiar but weakened aura from a monster aboard Jia Yan’s Adisa battleship—it was one of his secondary powerhouses’ subordinates, previously sent to confront Wu Ci Power.
"Useless fool!"
King Er cursed under his breath and stopped arguing over this point.
"Jia Yan, speak clearly—what is your ultimate purpose in coming here today?"
King Er didn’t believe he would lose to Jia Yan. Yet, a part of him harbored a faint hope to recruit Jia Yan into Naer Power, so he aimed to avoid escalating the conflict.
But Jia Yan’s next words shattered his delusion entirely, plunging him into despair!
"Why am I here? Haha, King Er. First, to honor our duel. And second..."
"Your Naer Power has existed long enough in the 251 Star Zone. I believe today marks its end."
"Hmm?!"
The originally composed King Er froze upon hearing this, his heart immediately surging with fury.
"You dare plan to wipe out my Naer Power? Bold words indeed. Fine, let us fight! Let’s see if your capabilities have progressed enough in such a short time to annihilate my Naer Power!"
King Er was enraged. Naer Power was his life’s work, meticulously built from scratch. The thought of Jia Yan attempting to obliterate it was unbearable to him.
Jia Yan shook his head lightly and moved his body effortlessly.
He had directly entered subspace!
"Hmm? Your subspace talent has advanced significantly."
Experts recognize skill immediately; King Er could tell from Jia Yan’s actions that his progress exceeded expectations.
Yet, King Er still didn’t believe he would lose!
In one year, no matter how much improvement Jia Yan had made, how could it bridge the gap of two major levels to surpass him, King Er?
"Jia Yan’s subspace talent is generally used for sneak attacks. As long as I guard against this, the threat won’t be significant. As for his battleships, I haven’t detected any strong presences—just an injured Behalf onboard."
Behalf was retreating, observing the state of Wu Ci Power. He felt relieved, seeing no threats like Wolf Star.
But as he was distracted, the solitude of Jia Yan’s presence beside him changed suddenly—he appeared right in front of King Er!
A front limb emerged!
Like a sword from outer space, as soon as it exited subspace, it shot straight toward King Er!
"What..."
King Er was stunned—the speed of the attack exceeded his imagination. He hadn’t been ambushed from the side as he expected but rather struck head-on, catching him off guard.
In the nanoseconds that followed, he didn’t have time to think or react much. He could only exert every ounce of speed to dodge to the side.
It was a remarkably swift evasion, but even so, King Er failed to completely avoid the thrust.
A deep, bone-revealing gash appeared on his massive, humanoid head!
Blood spattered across the void of space.
Jia Yan’s True Body, his Giant Mosquito form, flashed briefly as he retracted his limb, while the shocked King Er had already withdrawn several kilometers.
"How is your strength at this level?!"
King Er stared at Jia Yan, who had emerged from subspace and nearly killed him in one strike. While Jia Yan stood unemotionally in the starry sky, King Er screamed in sheer disbelief.
"Haha, you wouldn’t understand."
Jia Yan shook his head and vanished into subspace once again.
"I refuse to believe it! That was my negligence. This time, you won’t touch me!"
King Er roared furiously, his eyes wild as he scanned his surroundings.
He was focused on watching for the space where Jia Yan might appear.
But it was all in vain!
While King Er looked left and right, Jia Yan didn’t alter his method—he appeared straight in front of him again.
Once more, the front limb shot forward, aimed directly at the center of King Er’s head.
"Ah!"
Another gush of blood sprayed out across the stars. King Er’s face bore yet another deep, terrifying wound.
It was now clear to him; Jia Yan wasn’t simply unstoppable—his attacks were calculated to inflict injury without killing him outright.
"Jia Yan... within a year, you’ve reached such a level of strength. Haha, you truly live up to my expectations."
King Er was on the edge of insanity, muttering nonsensically.
Jia Yan steadied his emotions and decided not to use subspace further. He began strolling forward across the void, virtually gliding toward King Er.
"I was the one who discovered you, Jia Yan. You cannot kill me, Jia Yan!"
As Jia Yan approached, King Er’s eyes finally revealed a hint of terror. He began to retreat.
The gap in strength between Jia Yan and King Er was too vast. Even after two attacks, the disparity was crystal clear.
King Er cursed his fate internally.
Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that Jia Yan’s strength would have progressed so much in the span of a single year—a development that left him utterly powerless.
"You discovered me? Why didn’t I know about that?"
Jia Yan stopped a short distance from King Er, menace brimming in his Compound Eyes. His words struck a chilling tone.
His front limb shot out like lightning once again.
It was like a master sniper’s bullet—King Er thought he had seen through Jia Yan’s strike, yet when he raised his arm to block it, Jia Yan abruptly altered the trajectory. The limb pierced into King Er’s right shoulder.
Another spurt of blood stained the heavens.
"Jia Yan, if you kill me, can you spare Naer Power? It’s the work of my entire life—I cannot bear seeing it destroyed as well."
King Er, despairing completely, pleaded as he retreated further from Jia Yan.
"If it’s your life’s work, then perhaps disappearing with you wouldn’t be so bad, would it?"
Jia Yan moved fluidly in pursuit of King Er, lightly passing through space while the latter fled in panic. No matter how hard King Er tried, he couldn’t widen the gap between them.
Amid his terror, King Er failed to notice a massive gravitational pull ensnaring him, preventing him from moving faster.
"No, no, no, Jia Yan, you cannot destroy Naer Power. If you’re going to kill me, then die alongside me instead!"
At the mention of Jia Yan’s intent to annihilate Naer Power, King Er’s eyes gleamed with crazed determination as he lunged forward. His body radiated an unprecedented power surge.
He was channeling his full semi-permanent star level strength, aiming to explode with a force equivalent to that of a high-level semi-permanent star talent’s casual strike!
But raw power without proper technique is meaningless.
Before King Er could collide with him, Jia Yan shook his head and maneuvered like a fish slipping away, entering subspace once more.
Moments later, an immense explosion lit the starry sky.
The heavens burned brightly with what resembled a miniature sun, Gamma Rays scattering chaotically in all directions.
For ordinary humans, it wouldn’t even take direct exposure to this level of impact—the mere radiation would be lethal enough.
But such a force wasn’t fatal to Jia Yan.
Having retreated into subspace, he emerged unscathed!
"Sigh."
Over a thousand kilometers away from the explosion, Jia Yan reappeared in the boundless starry sky.
Jia Yan had already known King Er couldn’t possibly defeat him. Still, after his opponent perished, he didn’t feel much satisfaction.
After all, this opponent’s downfall stemmed from his attempt to recruit Jia Yan and resulted in the current predicament. Jia Yan didn’t believe King Er was inherently evil, but his pursuit of Wu Ci Power had crossed a line.
"Enough. In this starry sky, good and evil are never absolute. Now, it’s Naer Power’s turn."
Jia Yan decided to stop dwelling on it and set his sights on the celestial body not far away—the base of Naer Power.
The monsters on this star acted swiftly. Witnessing King Er’s unexpected and swift demise, none bothered with resisting or defensive fire. Instead, they fled decisively!
"All creatures of Wu Ci Power, heed my command..."
Jia Yan glanced back at Wu Ci Power’s five tattered battleships and issued an order.
"Eliminate them!"
