Jia Yan, holding the electronic registration form he obtained from that Secondary Powerhouse, arrived at the city center of Tornado Force.
"Sir, please register here."
A sweet voice called out to Jia Yan from a distance, uttered by a female Sub-master genius.
Jia Yan walked over.
His massive body did not seem particularly large in this city filled with giant monsters, so it was like coming from Land of the Little to Giant’s Land, where everything around him became normal-sized.
"Hello, you are here to participate in the battle, right? Do you need me to show you the way?"
The female Sub-master genius, upon seeing Jia Yan’s appearance and sensing his youth, asked him with even more respect.
"Yes, I am participating." Jia Yan handed over the registration form, and after examining it, she allowed him entry.
Inside this colossal building was a huge spectator stand designed to accommodate the battles of Secondary Powerhouses. An area with a diameter of more than a hundred kilometers was designated as the combat zone. Not only that, even parts of the cosmic space were marked as the combat zone, meaning that beings at the level of Secondary Powerhouses could fight into the Star Zone.
Jia Yan entered through the participant entrance.
"Eh."
Right when Jia Yan entered the passage and appeared in the participant area at the same time, the Blue Monster perched high on the spectator stands was slightly startled.
As a formidable Genius Venerable, his perceptual abilities were incredibly fearsome.
"Interesting. Even in this small Tornado Force, one can encounter such a genius." He looked towards the direction where Jia Yan had entered with some surprise and then saw Jia Yan’s True Body.
Meanwhile, Jia Yan, who had just taken his seat among the participants, also felt shocked by an unusual and intense presence of a Strong One, different from the typical sense of power emitted by formidable beings. To Jia Yan, it felt like an overwhelmingly vital and powerful monster, instilling a substantial sense of threat in him.
Of course, that was all there was to it, as this power’s master appeared to be a Dignitary, and his Power was not comparable to a Semi-permanent Star Level, so for Jia Yan, it was merely a surprise.
Looking towards the platform and seeing an energy shielding device, Jia Yan abandoned the idea of using brute force and ceased watching.
"There are two Secondary Powerhouses fighting on the stage; this should be watched closely."
Jia Yan’s eyes lit up when he saw that the battle on stage involved two Secondary Powerhouses.
These two Strong Ones were two talents at the genius level, one of them possessing Gravity Talent, able to cause gravity changes of several tens of times stronger centered at the feet with every step.
Of course, this gravity change had a range limit, weakening with distance, and Jia Yan saw that his opponent quickly jumped away to escape the entanglement.
The other, an Armored Monster, had a body heavy as lead like the beetles of Earth, possessing terrifyingly strong defenses. Apart from this trait, he lacked other talents, but this formidable defense was sufficient for him to walk the world.
"Terrifying, these two Sub-master geniuses would not be easy to deal with, even for me, if I do not use my Space Talent. In particular, that Armored Monster—I believe it would be impossible to pierce his defenses without using my sharpened Bluish defense technique."
After watching the battle between these two Sub-master geniuses, Jia Yan appeared to reflect with a sense of admiration.
Their strength was too formidable, posing a terrible threat even to Jia Yan, who nonetheless did not believe he would lose. For someone like him, who had defeated a genius at the Semi-permanent Star Level, to lose to a being of such caliber would be laughable.
In any case, he realized that these two Sub-master geniuses each possessed strength not inferior to the top three fighters in the 215 Star Zone, and that several of Wu Ci Power’s Secondary Powerhouses would lose to them.
The battle between two geniuses with different talents and advantages was rather interesting, especially since their talents didn’t intersect, leading to a battle of wits and strategy, making it quite a spectacle.
Jia Yan knew he was more powerful than these two Strong Ones but was still engrossed in watching. Perhaps this was the biggest difference between him and the Venerable on the high platform.
"Die!"
The Armored Monster, relying on its formidable Defense, charged up to the Gravity Talented being and broke one of his legs with a direct hit.
"Armored Monster wins!"
The referee at the side immediately declared the end of the battle.
"Interesting, both these Strong Ones are very powerful, and their methods of attack are something I have never seen before. This battle was well worth watching."
Jia Yan was thoroughly enjoying the battle as a bystander, gaining a lot from witnessing such powerful combat.
Meanwhile, the Venerable on the high platform, upon seeing the conclusion of the battle between the Secondary Powerhouses, scoffed with disdain, seemingly because he considered himself superior and felt he could gain nothing from their combat.
"See that black Flying Monster down there? Let me know if he joins the fight. For now, I’m going to go play with this female Monster you’ve set me up with, haha."
The Blue Lizard ceased paying attention to the battle and, embracing a female Lizard Monster beside him, gleefully descended the platform amidst her giggles.
Unaware of the interest the Blue Monster on the high platform had taken in him, Jia Yan was absorbed in watching the next battle between the Dignitaries.
Perhaps this is what set Jia Yan apart from the average Monster Strongman.
He not only had Talent but also the spirit of not underestimating others, capable of gaining experience and insights from any Strong One’s battle. With such an attitude, his Power was bound to grow faster than other Talented Strongmen.
"This battle of the Venerables isn’t bad. I feel that his strike is somewhat similar to my foot attack, which I can absorb and use as a nice modification to my combat style."
After watching several battles of the Venerables, Jia Yan sighed, finding gains in every one of them.
"Next up, the mysterious talented newcomer from the outside world, Jia Yan! He will be facing a Venerable genius from our 132 Star Zone, Yi Jie!"
When Jia Yan’s name was announced, the Blue Lizard Monster appeared, wrapping its arms around a female lizard.
"Let’s see if my feelings are mistaken," said the Blue Lizard, its feet moving over the body of the female lizard while it coldly watched the situation below.
Jia Yan slowly entered the battle arena, a familiar place, a familiar sensation of combat. It made Jia Yan somewhat nostalgic; he seemed to share a certain fate with places like this—always on a stage, to the point where the feeling of real combat had greatly diminished.
"But it doesn’t matter, once I reach the Stellar level, what kind of stages will there be in the outside world? They will all be battles of life and death, because no power can endure a stage battle between two Stellar level fighters, nor would any power take a Stellar level fight as just a stage battle."
After Jia Yan stepped onto the battlefield, he saw a ghostly creature drifting towards him.
This creature, about fifty meters in size, was considered small among the Venerables.
"Kid, you’re from outside the 132 Star Zone, right? What do you say to letting me win? I need the points for the Star Zone battle, and you don’t need our Star Zone’s points since you’re from outside. If you let me win, I’ll give you a good chunk of Energy Stones."
This ghostly creature stepped onto the stage and immediately attempted to bribe Jia Yan!
The surrounding spectators could hear it, yet none of them showed any surprise or outrage.
In the battle of the Star Zones, as long as the genius won one-on-one by any means, that was considered a victory, whether through trash talking or deception.
"Heh, Energy Stones? I’m not interested right now. Let’s just fight," replied Jia Yan.
Having initially been cautious upon seeing a strange new creature, Jia Yan’s concern faded after hearing such an offer.
No matter what kind of Strong One he was facing, if their mind was weaker, Jia Yan did not regard them as much of a threat.
Pfft!
Right after speaking, Jia Yan made a move, lightly flying towards his adversary.
Though his movements seemed slow, they were actually incredibly fast—a distance of several hundred kilometers was crossed in an instant!
"Hey, esteemed Lord, you can’t be so impolite! I was trying to have a nice talk with you," the Venerable monster hurriedly rolled on the spot in a flustered attempt to create some distance.
Without even using ten percent of his power, his opponent was already begging for mercy. Jia Yan almost had to laugh; such a Venerable was not worth fighting for him. A single blow would be enough to settle it.
But just as Jia Yan was about to strike at his opponent’s weak point, the Strong One spoke again.
"Jia Yan! You’re called Jia Yan, right? Mmm, good name, Lord Jia Yan. How about we stop fighting? I won’t spill your secrets then."
"Hmm?"
At that moment, Jia Yan’s expression intensified significantly.
He had never revealed his real name, and even his registration was vague, yet how could this ghostly Venerable call out his name correctly?
What exactly was going on?
"Jia Yan, that is a trash-talking Strong One!"
Just as Jia Yan was astonished, a somewhat familiar voice suddenly came from the contestant seats.
Looking back, Jia Yan saw that the previous five separating Dignitaries and the Venerable from Tornado Force who had hosted them were there as well.
It was only natural for them to be present, yet now Jia Yan was surprised by their words.
A trash-talking Strong One?!
A look of astonishment flashed in Jia Yan’s eyes.
So, there were really such a profession of Strong Ones in the world? Incredible.
"Haha, Jia Yan, you are... eh, from a place far, far away. Impressive, with quite the remarkable origins. Let’s see, let’s see," said the trash-talking Strong One as he floated about like a ghost, murmuring to himself.
"This trash-talking Strong One probably dabbles in some mysterious arts. He might not really have the ability to read fortunes, but he’s likely deduced some details about me from my actions and appearance. Yet for most of us beings, such things are too miraculous," analyzed Jia Yan as he watched the creature.
This creature wasn’t powerful, and a single hit from Jia Yan would suffice to defeat or even kill it. But now Jia Yan’s interest had been piqued; such ghostly powers were something he had never encountered in the Starry Sky.
