"Three rewards, huh?"

Jia Yan looked around at the Wu Ci Force Members, and seeing them all very calm, he understood that this was normal.

"Jia Yan, try to feel which of these three parcels contains the most sufficient Strength Feeling."

Behalf’s voice reached Jia Yan’s ears.

"Hmm." Jia Yan nodded his head slightly and then sensed subtly.

He was some distance from Behalf and the others, and the Strength Feeling from these three parcels wasn’t strong enough to be perceived by powerhouses like Behalf.

After perceiving the first green parcel, Jia Yan was slightly surprised.

He felt that the contents were good for him, as if even his body could Devour them.

At that moment, Jia Yan wanted to choose this one, but after calming his thoughts, he turned to the next yellow parcel.

The feeling from inside was a new experience.

"Hmm, the Energy here is also strong, but it’s not something that I can Devour."

Jia Yan pondered for a moment, guessing that the contents of these two parcels were either resources that could strengthen oneself, or perhaps a weapon or Armor.

Jia Yan then shifted his gaze to the next red parcel.

His Brainwave Power slowly unleashed, and afterward, a faint radiation emerged from the parcel.

"It must be a high-tech item. Such things might be beneficial for the entire force, but they don’t have much use for me personally."

Jia Yan wasn’t a tech fanatic and didn’t particularly like Outer Star high-tech products, so he had never had much desire for high-tech items.

"Jia Yan, can you feel what’s inside here?" Behalf’s voice sounded in Jia Yan’s ears.

Above the spacious room, the Stellar Level Monster named Guestless, who was slightly bent over, could surely hear the conversation between the two, but he didn’t interrupt, which seemed to be a common rule when distributing items.

Jia Yan honestly told Behalf what he felt.

"Choose the third one! This item could greatly enhance our force’s Strength, with it, our Star Body Components will be stronger, and we would be able to attract a vast expanse of Star Space Material without collapsing!"

After listening to what Jia Yan said about the items, Behalf was nearly ecstatic. He hadn’t expected that in the mere Lord Level championship, there could be such good rewards.

But his words made Jia Yan fall silent for a moment.

"What’s wrong, Little Mosquito, won’t you follow his advice and pick the third one?"

Guestless, who towered over Jia Yan, saw his hesitation and then asked with an indifferent voice.

Jia Yan raised his head, needing to look up to a Strong One as if looking up to a mountain, which was a feeling Jia Yan had only when he was Little Mosquito. In front of this power, Jia Yan felt extremely weak.

He didn’t like this feeling of weakness.

Guestless could hear their conversation, which was clear to everyone, so it wasn’t surprising that he would say such things.

Beneath Behalf’s gaze, Jia Yan’s silence seemed somewhat uncomfortable, and he felt some displeasure at the bottom of his heart.

Even though Jia Yan, the newcomer, was the top amongst the Dignitaries, in the eyes of a Semi-permanent Star Level powerhouse, he was at most a chess piece. And now, this chess piece seemed to be defying his wishes, and he wouldn’t mind teaching him a lesson.

But he couldn’t make a move now!

"I choose the first one." Suddenly, just as Behalf was getting a little impatient, Jia Yan raised his head and spoke to Guestless in the air above.

"Oh. Little guy, are you sure?" Guestless looked at Jia Yan with a seemingly amused expression, then glanced at Behalf who almost seemed ready to jump to his feet, and asked softly.

"I’m sure!"

Jia Yan’s gaze swept over Behalf, and although the latter’s look put enormous pressure on him, he reaffirmed his own heart after looking up at Guestless.

If he allowed himself to be suppressed by a Semi-permanent star powerhouse and ignore his own true desires, then he wouldn’t really be Jia Yan.

While Behalf’s previous help had been of great benefit to Jia Yan, now it seemed that the other had his own motives and perhaps wasn’t that great a person.

So why shouldn’t Jia Yan make choices based on his own needs?

"Alright, since you’re sure, then I’ll take away the other two rewards." Once Jia Yan made his decision, Guestless used his Brainwave Power to move, and the yellow and red parcels slowly lifted into the air.

Leaving behind only the green parcel that held a huge attraction for Jia Yan.

"You!"

Behalf stood beside Jia Yan, his slender figure slightly shaken in frustration. Only after seeing Guestless, who was looking down at them expressionlessly, did Behalf’s gaze tremble and he stopped what he was doing.

"This Semi-permanent Star Level cannot threaten me!" Jia Yan glanced at the opponent as if looking at a clown, then looked up at Guestless in the sky with a flicker of hope in his eyes.

He believed his future was destined to be above Stellar Level, even far surpassing it. Therefore, he naturally had no need to worry about threats from the Semi-permanent Star Level. If he couldn’t even harbor such confidence, his future was doomed to be short-lived.

"After you receive your reward, you can leave. Wu Ci Force’s reward will be delivered after a period of time; it won’t be sent now!"

Guestless took a longer look at Jia Yan. Under his gaze, Jia Yan felt as though all of his hidden strength was being completely exposed.

After leaving the vast Star Space Room, Behalf immediately stepped in front of Jia Yan.

"Jia Yan, why didn’t you heed my advice? Could it be that you think just because you’ve become the strongest Lord of the 215 Star Zone, you can ignore my orders now!"

"I dare not, Lord, I am simply remaining true to myself. Besides, the reward is for me, and didn’t you mention there will be more rewards for the force?" Jia Yan said with neither servility nor arrogance, shaking his head.

"Jia Yan... I’ve helped you before, supported you - if you think it’s all taken for granted, then you are mistaken. Let’s leave it for this time, but next time I hope you can think more about the force. We cultivate you not without our own interests, understand?" Behalf’s face grew colder.

"Yes, I understand." Jia Yan nodded.

His demeanor towards Behalf was no longer as cordial as before. Jia Yan had previously had a good impression of Behalf, but now it was clear he was just another face serving the interests of the power. Jia Yan could see through his thoughts.

Although he wasn’t majorly in the wrong, expecting Jia Yan to consider the force’s interests was out of the question. Jia Yan had always been alone, and not that he denies Wu Ci Power’s help for him, but he did not want to cut off his own progress for the force during the prime of his development. In the future, however, it wasn’t like he couldn’t help them gain some benefits.

This discord marked the end of the close relationship between Jia Yan and Behalf.

Some things are not about who’s right or wrong, but simply about viewing things from different perspectives.

"Let’s go back!"

Upon reaching the Wu Ci Force Members’ stronghold, before the gathered Strong Ones had the chance to ask about the rewards, Behalf immediately announced their departure.

When the massive Battleship took off, fellow Strong Ones learned what had transpired from a few Secondary Powerhouses.

Wu Ci Force Members looked at Jia Yan with unfriendly eyes. Although everyone lives for themselves, and the Strong Ones act mostly for their own empowerment, within a small power a stronger force would mean more resources for individuals. Jia Yan had been acting only for himself, and their expectations had been in vain.

Jia Yan simply didn’t care that much.

With Brainwave Power, he controlled the large, about ten-meter-long green bundle and returned to his room.

For being the foremost among the Dignitaries, Jia Yan had previously been announced to have his own room.

Though the room wasn’t large, it nonetheless offered his own private space.

He placed the bundle in the room.

"This material, it should be something that enhances oneself."

As Jia Yan was thinking, he began to open the bundle.

"Wow, I can finally come out and take a breath; so many Strong Ones. Adisa didn’t dare to come out."

As Jia Yan was opening the bundle, the small Adisa jumped out from within him, breathing heavily as if it were a living creature.

"Adisa, do you know what this is?"

By this time, Jia Yan had already opened the bundle to reveal an object within like a Crystal, similar to a diamond magnified thousands of times, glittering and dazzling.

"Oh, Adisa knows!" Adisa flew up, circled the Crystal a few times, and then said, "This is called a Star Core. It’s something produced by very few planets and has a great absorption effect on most lifeforms. Master, your body is already made for absorbing; I think, your results will be at least ten times more effective than others!"

"Star Core, huh."

The Star Core in Jia Yan’s mouth was indeed very tasty. Jia Yan was used to countless destructive substances, but this Star Core funnily had no destructiveness at all—not painful or itchy. Jia Yan thought to himself how nice it would be if every substance he Devoured was this mild.

Of course, that was not the case. The Star Core was not as calm as Jia Yan believed it to be, as after devouring it for a while, a hot Power began to spread throughout his body...

Ordinary Dignitaries or even Secondary Level Strong Ones might find this heat unbearable, but Jia Yan simply burped satisfyingly, and then nothing else was the matter.

He had swalled too many weird things, most of which were agonizing, whereas this Star Core was trivial in comparison.
