Jia Yan was in a huge room, listening to the black monster in front of him speak.

This monster looked like a colossal insect, with one or two hundred limbs, and when it spoke, it spat out foam from its mouth. Whether this is a natural phenomenon or due to some other reason is unknown, but it was certainly disgusting.

"Alright, I understand," Jia Yan nodded in acknowledgment.

Although he didn’t believe that his inheritance and secrets would never be coveted by others, after hearing what the insect monster had said, he felt somewhat reassured.

What it said was right!

In the Genius Battlefield, geniuses all have some unique physiques or inheritances, otherwise, they wouldn’t be geniuses. When everyone is unique, then being unique is no longer special. Perhaps only exceptionally strong inheritances could possibly invite covetous glances.

Even if Jia Yan thought that some things he possessed were too heaven-defying, he felt a bit more at ease after hearing those words.

The Adisa was docked at the port of an artificial celestial body, and after they inspected it, they asked Jia Yan to close the hatch to ensure no entry.

"Understanding this is best. Now let’s see what use you can be to our Wu Ci Power. This isn’t some charity foundation; we have no use for people who can’t be put to work."

The insect monster looked at Jia Yan, and even though it was also a Lord, it somehow seemed to exhibit a higher status than Jia Yan, presenting the demeanor of a Senior.

"May I know what sort of proof is required?" Jia Yan asked, after a flash of strange light in his eyes.

"There’s nothing else. In the Genius Battlefield, combat strength is what everyone looks at. So, bring out your strength. Follow me to the Starry Sky Battlefield. As long as you can last three minutes in front of a Respect Level expert who has been here for three years, you’ll have passed the assessment."

Under the guidance of the insect monster, Jia Yan followed it forward.

While walking, Jia Yan observed the artificial star.

He felt somewhat emotional inside.

This artificial star was indeed assembled from blocks of metal. A whole five hundred kilometers in diameter, the technological strength and resources required were beyond his imagination. Yet, such a place is only the site of a minor power in the Genius Battlefield, living a day-to-day life on edge.

It is evident that the overall strength within the Genius Battlefield was far stronger than places like the Northern Star Domain.

Within the star with a diameter of five hundred kilometers, there were many layers. To say it’s a star is somewhat misleading; it should actually be called a mobile spherical flying vehicle.

Life within the entire star was relatively sparse, with over two hundred Dignitaries, seven Secondary Powerhouses, and one Semi-permanent Star Level Expert.

Jia Yan keenly sensed that within the Genius Battlefield, a different place had a significantly higher number of Secondary Level experts compared to the Northern Star Domain. Normally, the number of Secondary Level powerhouses wouldn’t necessarily outnumber Semi-permanent Star Level, but now, there seemed to be many more of the former.

It made him recall when he first learned of the existence of Secondary Powerhouses. Compound Eyes had mentioned that some starfields developed advanced combat promotion systems. Most of the Strong Ones would first attain Secondary Level between Lord Level and Stellar Level to increase their odds of Advancement to Eternal Star Rank.

"Within this star, my current strength is roughly around that of a Secondary Powerhouse," Jia Yan quietly assessed his power level.

The two proceeded together, occasionally passing by a Lord Level staff member working on maintaining the devices on the star.

"Is this monster the newcomer who just arrived today? Let’s have a look."

Lords are, after all, Strong Ones. Their work is very autonomous, and upon seeing Jia Yan’s arrival, they followed behind, wanting to see what kind of performance this newcomer would show.

They arrived at a massive vacuum exit, where the insect monster stopped.

"Who among you joined the Genius Battlefield three years ago?" it turned around and asked.

"I did!"

A creature that resembled a turtle stood out.

Briefly examining Jia Yan with a flicker in its eyes, it knew that just having been in the Genius Battlefield for three years didn’t amount to much of a Strong One in this category, generally looked down upon. Now seeing a new face, it also wanted to enjoy the feeling of its own superiority.

Plainly put, this was ’bullying the weak’!

"Alright, you are precisely the three-year newcomer, go ahead. Both of you fight one match; as long as you don’t kill each other, any method is allowed. If you’re capable, even self-detonating your Battleship to perish with him is fine," the insect monster told both of them.

"Come on, newcomer, let me see your strength." The turtle monster darted towards the outside world.

Jia Yan said nothing but instead flew after it.

"Adisa, if I use more power than most of the Lords here possess, will there be any trouble?" Jia Yan asked Adisa inwardly. His current strength was already considerable. Such close communication wouldn’t be noticed even by a Semi-permanent Star Level Expert.

"Master, there won’t be any trouble. According to my analysis, the Wu Ci Power struggles to survive in the Genius Battlefield. The stronger you are, the more advantageous it is for the power, but of course, don’t reveal all your strength, as that could cause discomfort for other powers," replied Adisa.

"I understand." Jia Yan answered after a flash of brightness in his Compound Eyes.

After flying roughly a thousand kilometers, they positioned themselves for battle.

Jia Yan could feel that most of the Strong Ones on the star were watching this battle.

"Kid, since you’ve come to our Wu Ci Power, you must have some connections. But I want to show you that the Genius Battlefield is not as perfect as a newcomer might think. Take this!"

After a sudden flash, the turtle monster appeared right in front of Jia Yan.

Though he resembled a tortoise, his speed was incredibly fast as lightning.

"So fast!"

Jia Yan’s eyes flashed with brilliance, then his expression calmed down.

As expected of the Genius Battlefield, none of the geniuses here are pushovers.

If it were a Dignitary from the Northern Star Domain, perhaps they wouldn’t even be able to take a single strike from the opponent.

But after all, Jia Yan is Jia Yan!

After a few thoughts flashed through his mind, he calmly shifted his body to the side.

The magnitude of his movement was clearly minor, yet it perfectly evaded the attack!

"Impressive! But that was just my probing move, accept your defeat!"

The tortoise monster seemed a bit embarrassed, then its head retracted into its shell before shooting out fiercely.

The speed of its head was extremely fast, a typical Lord definitely wouldn’t be able to catch it.

But Jia Yan still smiled, tilted his head, and dodged the strike.

"How is this possible!" The tortoise monster was in shock.

But then it caught a glimpse of a chill light breaking through space, and in a flash of lightning, it arrived in front of its head.

By the time it reacted, the chill light had already firmly landed in front of its head.

Turns out, it was the opponent’s forelimb!

The tortoise monster couldn’t believe it and its eyes widened, then it only felt an intense chill from the front of its head engulfing its entire body, almost paralyzing it with fear!

"Concede." Jia Yan simply uttered.

"Huh? This Jia Yan can actually win?!"

A thousand kilometers away, numerous Dignitaries and stronger beings were a bit shocked as they watched the scene unfold.

What they found hard to believe was that Jia Yan, a newcomer to the Genius Battlefield, could actually defeat a genius who had been in the Genius Battlefield for three years.

You must understand that everyone here is a genius, and even if they’re all Dignitaries, three more years of time should make a substantial difference.

"This Jia Yan, his strength must be extraordinary!"

The Dignitaries couldn’t grasp what had just happened, they simply sensed that Jia Yan was stronger than the tortoise monster. But the Secondary Powerhouses on the star were all showing changes in their expressions.

"You, go up!"

The Compound Eyes monster was about to announce Jia Yan’s victory. The addition of a newcomer pleased him; as one of the strong beings among the star’s Dignitaries, he liked to see the arrival of a genius who could expand their power.

In a weak force, there is no lack of friction amongst members, but more often it’s about survival pressure. Naturally, he hoped to see Wu Ci Power grow stronger.

But hearing a Secondary Powerhouse’s Brainwave Power voice near his ear, he was taken aback.

"All right." He found it a bit strange, yet still obeyed and flew out of the star cabin door.

"Look quickly, Compound Eyes himself is going up."

"How is that possible, he must be going to check whether the newcomer has cheated. After all, a newcomer defeating a three-year senior as soon as he arrives, nobody would believe he hasn’t cheated."

The Dignitaries were surprised to see the Compound Eyes monster flying out and began to discuss among themselves.

But what truly shocked them was that when the Compound Eyes monster arrived in front of the two battling powerhouses, he actually said: "Jia Yan, you won the last match, but next you’ll battle me."

"As long as I battle you, I will pass the test, correct?"

Jia Yan looked at him and then asked quietly.

"Yes, if you defeat me, it’s not just about passing the test, but, I doubt you can win against me," the Compound Eyes confidently stated.

"That’s not necessarily so." Jia Yan shook his head and then took up a fighting stance.

Meanwhile, the tortoise monster moved aside while looking at the two of them with curiosity.

"Why would Compound Eyes go up himself, his strength is already at the top among the Dignitaries, and it shouldn’t be difficult for him to ascend to Secondary Powerhouse status. Yet he’s challenging a newcomer who has just arrived at the Genius Battlefield and is a novice at the Dignitary rank?"

Among the Dignitaries, there is a divide between the strong and the weak. Although there is no explicit distinction like early and later stages, the gap between the weak and the strong is enormous. The Compound Eyes monster is close to the topmost level of a Dignitary.

Nobody believes Jia Yan could fight against the Compound Eyes monster.

"Come on, I’ll let you attack first!" the Compound Eyes generously said to Jia Yan.

He also didn’t think Jia Yan could stand up to him; perhaps it was just the Secondary Powerhouses who were curious to see his limits.
