Within that massive battleship, incredulously, there was only one of the Strong Ones piloting it. At this moment, he looked at the Adisa, his eyes brimming with sharpness.
But right now, neither side would say anything. Instead, they flew one behind the other towards the front.
The surrounding battleships and spaceships grew ever more numerous.
Just as Adisa had said, although the creatures here seemed surprised by the size of the Adisa, not a single one was particularly shocked.
It could be seen that they were all beings who had seen much of the world. Or perhaps, the Talent Battlefield was even more bustling than the Northern Starfield, otherwise they wouldn’t find the Adisa so ordinary.
The ships lined up in a queue, and no one maintained any order at such times, yet it was enough to keep the impressive-looking battleships and spaceships quiet.
The queue in front was long - the Adisa, with its gigantic stature, lined up for a full three days before reaching the end of the line.
"Master, let’s disembark. We need to go in here for questioning and inspection."
Prompted by Adisa, Jia Yan disembarked from the spaceship.
And so did the Prince from the Luoci Empire, disembarking from the Adisa.
"Haha, buddy, it’s been two years, and this is the first time I’m seeing you. But chatting with you through voice messages has been a pleasure, brother. You must take good care of me in the Talent Battlefield."
When the Prince saw Jia Yan, he mistook him for that ’expert’ with whom he had been chatting for the past two years and started talking to Jia Yan as if they were old friends.
The two Strong Ones entered a massive structure floating in the starry sky.
This enormous building, resembling a 40,000-meter-tall house, housed countless creatures and an innumerable number of Strong Ones!
As Jia Yan approached, his whole body shook violently, and he looked at the building with some horror.
It turned out that within the building was an immeasurably terrifying being, releasing its Strong One pressure, making the surrounding genius strong ones feel suppressed.
This was a Stellar-level existence!
Jia Yan couldn’t help but think he shouldn’t attract too much attention here, and then he followed the Prince of Luoci Empire into the tall first-floor lobby of the building.
"Strong Ones coming to register for the Talent Battlefield, please enter this passage; family and followers stay outside."
A Starry Sky Sovereign was shouting in the first-floor lobby, where in front of him, a line of apparently young creatures were queuing.
Jia Yan entered the queue with a wry smile, having been a Strong One for so long, he hadn’t expected to experience queuing again.
Fortunately, the line moved very quickly, and he entered a room.
Inside was a Strong One, whose strength appeared to be at the Semi-permanent Star Level.
He was like a Giant Dragon, lifting his eyelids to look at Jia Yan as he entered. Seeing that Jia Yan was just a Dignitary, he showed no major reaction and asked directly.
"Hello, may I know which starfield you come from?"
"The Orion Arm," Jia Yan honestly replied.
This was the language of this starfield, which Jia Yan had already learned on the way here from Adisa. Furthermore, this language was widely used in the more flourishing areas of the Milky Way, meaning Jia Yan wouldn’t need to learn so many languages that frequently in the future.
"Oh? From the Orion Arm!" The Giant Dragon-like creature looked up in surprise at Jia Yan.
"Yes, and there’s a bit of the Luoci Empire’s aura about you, which suggests you have traveled to various places. Alright, let me check your age."
That Semi-permanent Star Level Giant Dragon emitted an oppressive force far greater than any of the Semi-permanent Star Level beings Jia Yan had encountered before, causing him some astonishment. Could there also be a gap in strength among the Semi-permanent Star Level beings?
Should this Giant Dragon engage him in combat, Jia Yan might not even have a chance to escape...
Indeed, this was a place far beyond the Northern Starfield.
"Eh? Your age..."
Unbeknownst to Jia Yan, alarmed by the Giant Dragon’s power, the other was similarly surprised by Jia Yan’s age.
"This Smart Brain, designed to detect the structure and fluctuations of life, estimates your age to be between thirty and sixty years old. That is to say, you reached the Lord Level with at most only sixty years of Cultivation? Tell me, are you thirty or sixty years old?"
The Giant Dragon Strong One showed an interested expression. To know that being able to cultivate to the Lord Level in thirty years was exceedingly rare in the Talent Battlefield, comparable to only a few eminent beings.
Jia Yan, meanwhile, remembered what Adisa had told him.
He pondered for a moment. Thirty years old? By that actual count, his True Body might not even have been alive for thirty years!
However, he did not reveal his actual age directly.
"Returning to your Lordship, I am already sixty years old,"
Jia Yan answered.
"Oh, then it must be this Smart Brain malfunctioning, after all, the life fluctuations of each Species are unique, and your kind, which we have never encountered before, might indeed cause it to calculate incorrectly. A sixty-year-old Dignitary, right? You qualify for our Genius Battlefield, and quite outstandingly so. However, I should remind you that while the Genius Battlefield is indeed tailored for geniuses, it still involves life-and-death situations, which can be even more exaggerated than the outside world. If you’re frightened, I hope you’ll opt to withdraw yourself."
After hearing Jia Yan’s response, the Giant Dragon Strong One no longer harbored much doubt. After all, age detection by Smart Brain is only accurate for familiar life forms. This is the first time he has seen a Monster like Jia Yan, and without records in the Smart Brain, errors are normal.
Jia Yan received the Strong One’s permission to pass.
He was given a card along with an extremely tiny Smart Brain, then he left the room, and the next Genius Strong One entered.
Every strong being around revealed the arrogance unique to geniuses. Jia Yan crawled on the ground, observing every entity; they were all either at High-space Level or Lord Level, and all appeared rather young, with few over a hundred years old.
"Bro! Did you make it through? I actually shouldn’t have been allowed to enter, but I told them I was from the Royal Family of the Luoci Empire, and they let me in, haha."
The Prince of the Luoci Empire also left the room, issuing a loud remark that made the surrounding creatures frown.
They all had to rely on age and strength to enter the Genius Battlefield, and this guy just walked in because of his family background?
The geniuses here all looked down upon those who relied on their heritage!
"Hmph, what place is the Luoci Empire? Some backwater corner? Seems the standards of the Genius Battlefield are dropping year by year, even allowing these two country rubes to sneak through the back door," a creature resembling a Fox Monster, its fur sparking with flames, coldly watched Jia Yan and the Luoci Empire Prince, jeering.
Jia Yan was stunned; he wanted to say he didn’t come through the back door, but standing with that foolish Prince, he found himself without any good excuse to clarify the misunderstanding.
"You dare to call the Luoci Great Empire a place of backwardness? Fight me if you dare, and face this ’backward’ genius!" The Prince of the Luoci Empire was indeed a brainless fool, immediately retorting when provoked.
The fox-like creature was true to its form, displaying a hint of a smile upon hearing the Prince’s words.
This Fox Monster Strong One was also a young being who had passed the entrance test, hoping to make a name for himself within the Genius Battlefield, to be recruited by the powerful Genius Forces.
Now, by instigating a fight with someone who looked utterly foolish at the Pinnacle of Space, it marked the first step in building his reputation.
As for the flying being beside the fool, appearing to be at the Lord Level, somewhat difficult to handle, he figured anyone willing to associate with such a fool couldn’t be too troublesome.
"Hmph, let’s fight then. Conveniently, right outside this building, there’s an arena for the Genius Battlefield. Let’s go test our mettle. Of course, I don’t want to be accused of bullying two country bumpkins, so if you both wish to come at me together, that’s fine too!"
The Fox Monster Strong One sneered and led the way out of the building.
"Want to fight us both at the same time? Bro, let’s go. This chump is enough for me alone. You can support me as the finale," the Luoci Empire Prince snorted coldly and proceeded to walk out.
Jia Yan was somewhat speechless and felt like facepalming.
This guy couldn’t even see clear strengths and weaknesses. The opponent was a Dignitary, and he was merely at the Pinnacle of Space—anyone could see with their toes that he was no match, yet this fool carried on as if he was certain of victory. Utterly ridiculous!
But...
"Calling me worthless, huh? Heh, interesting!"
A strange light flashed in Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes, then he too followed them out.
The Fox Monster appeared to be a being in its nineties; reaching the Respect Level at such an age was considered quite a genius in his homeland. Yet upon arriving in this Genius Battlefield, he realized his Talent was not as unique as he thought.
Because among the queue of genius strong ones nearby, there were many as talented as him. He even heard a Lord Level being say they were only in their seventies!
This was indeed embarrassing for him.
To gain access to great resources in the Genius Battlefield, to be favored by the Genius Forces, one needed to showcase their Talent and combat power—so he had to carefully consider targets such as this naive ’Heir of Privilege’.
Winning a fight and starting the recording device issued earlier would leave a record in the Genius Battlefield and increase his Points.
Outside the building, a huge circular battle platform, spanning a thousand square kilometers, was set in the Starry Sky.
"Alright, if you want to come at me together, that’s fine. Come on!"
Taking down two fools at once, why not have them both?
That was the current thought of the Fox Monster.
He pressed a few buttons on the Smart Brain, signaling the start of the genius combat recording. Then he flew straight onto the high platform!
And behind him, the august Prince of the Luoci Empire, along with Jia Yan, who was regarded as the same kind of fool as the Prince, also stepped forward to the location.
"Ha ha, to take you down, what need have I for my brother? I alone am more than enough!"
The Prince of the Luoci Empire laughed heartily, then flew confidently up to the platform.
