Chapter 1220: Chapter 7 Master, Where Are You Exactly【Subscribe for the Genuine Version】
Jia Yan actually didn’t activate the invisibility function of the space cabin at all, and thus it was impossible to detect Jia Yan’s presence in the space cabin. It can only be said that the disparity in technological levels between them was simply too vast.
"Never mind."
Jia Yan shook his head, then opened the hatch of the space cabin.
He himself flew out towards the largest spaceship in the fleet ahead, which was two kilometers long.
Using his Brainwave Power, he soon located Daphne and upon seeing an old acquaintance, a smile appeared on his face.
"Daphne." His voice faintly penetrated the spaceship.
At this moment, Daphne was still deep in thought.
She had known for many years that Jia Yan had disappeared from Earth, but she always believed that the creator of those wondrous creatures would return one day.
Thinking of Big Mosquito, a smile began to form on her face.
She still remembered that she seemed to have done many bad things to the other party, even coming to blows with each other.
But by a stroke of fate, she became a subordinate of Jia Yan’s, and now for some reason, she felt incredibly loyal to Big Mosquito, who had gone missing.
"Hehe, I even called him Master back then. Where exactly are you now? My Master..." Daphne had a strong premonition that Jia Yan was surely not dead.
She was about to give up the idea of longing for Jia Yan and instead ponder on how to deal with the Ru Lan Empire’s semi-combat carriers that might have arrived at the Solar System before them when she returned to Earth...
"Daphne."
A clear voice reached Daphne’s ears.
"Hm? Where is that voice coming from?" Daphne’s expression changed drastically, and she suddenly stood up from her seat.
She thought it was one of the Strong Ones in the fleet trying to attack her!
Daphne’s strength, through years of hard work, had reached the Sky Level, and with the Orchid Empire’s battle armor, she was confident in fighting an opponent at the Mid Celestial Level.
So even though she did not know where the voice was coming from, she remained calm and vigilantly looked around her.
Meanwhile, beneath her slender body, strands of metal began to wriggle, slowly spreading and covering her body, transforming into a beautiful suit of Armor.
"Ha..." Jia Yan outside the spaceship smiled somewhat speechlessly.
"Daphne, no need to worry. It’s me. Come out and meet me."
Jia Yan spoke softly.
"Who are you, exactly?" Daphne activated the Armor’s built-in detection capabilities, but still couldn’t see anyone. She was suddenly shocked.
She knew the strength of the Strong Ones in the fleet. If there really were Strong Ones who surpassed her by so much, the fleet would have changed hands long ago. Thus, this person should not be a member of the fleet.
But how could there be Outsiders who were able to keep up with the fleet’s swift movement and even manage to come aboard the spaceship unnoticed?
"Who I am, you’ll know once you see me. Come out. I’m right outside this Spaceship."
The man’s voice was pleasant to hear, and it faintly reminded Daphne of someone from her memories.
"Could it be?" An almost impossible idea flashed through Daphne’s mind, but this idea, despite her disbelief, grew wildly and took over her entire mind.
Daphne took a deep breath, then the Armor retreated back into her clothes. She knew that this Strong One’s Power seemed to be extraordinary. If he wanted to do something to her, she probably couldn’t resist, and he had not shown any hostility. She should be fine if she put away her Combat Armor.
Daphne straightened out her clothes and then walked out of her office.
"Lord, hello." The Guardian Guards saluted her as she suddenly appeared.
"I’m going to take a walk. Don’t follow me." Daphne spoke softly.
After walking past the core area of the office, the chaos of the entire Spaceship unfolded before her. Almost everywhere were shadows of creatures, along with many forms of security and factional conditions. It was incredibly chaotic on the outside.
Fortunately, as a Sky Level Strong One, Daphne could easily push aside the creatures around her by displaying her Power.
And her destination was not far; after passing through two passages, she came to a door guarded by soldiers. After a few words from Daphne, they let her pass.
Reaching the isolation cabin, Daphne changed into a space suit and then opened the hatch, drifting into the vacuum of space.
Although the fleet’s speed was extremely fast, in reality, as long as there was no resistance and the speed of the spaceship didn’t change dramatically, the scene of flying into the vacuum remained almost unchanged, at least there was a safety guarantee for a short period.
Daphne flew out of the spaceship, but unlike what she expected, seeing a huge body, at the door of this cabin, there was only a not very large creature, already waiting there.
However, this man looked almost like an Earth person.
With black hair, a handsome face.
If this man were on Earth, although he would be considered a man of temperament, he would still be just one among many.
But now he was not on Earth, but in the vacuum of space!
He was actually standing proud amidst the interstellar void without even wearing a spacesuit, clad only in clothes in the style of Earth!
What’s more important was that Daphne didn’t recognize him at all!
"Long time no see, Daphne," the man said with a slight smile as he saw Daphne fly out of the spaceship.
His smile was refreshing, making him look like a scholarly young man.
But Daphne’s face changed abruptly.
She took a step back, and her combat armor suddenly reappeared inside her space suit.
He said she would understand who he was when she saw him, but now Daphne, upon seeing him, still believed she had never met this man before.
Although the voice sounded somewhat familiar, it definitely wasn’t the existence she had in mind.
"Hehe, you really don’t recognize me? I am... the assassin," the man explained softly.
"Lord Assassin? Master? Impossible, he should be..." After hearing the man’s claim, Daphne’s expression turned even more unsightly as she shook her head in denial, almost ready to activate the communicator in her armor. She believed that even if the man was powerful, she could drive him away by ordering the entire fleet to attack.
The man, however, picked up on her words.
"He should be a Big Mosquito, right? Hehe, you aren’t wrong, my true body is still Big Mosquito, this is just my avatar."
The man didn’t conceal anything and directly revealed the nature of his current form.
Of course, it was Jia Yan, who felt somewhat helpless seeing Daphne still not recognizing this avatar of his.
"An avatar? You, you’re really Lord Assassin?" Daphne’s eyes widened in disbelief.
"Indeed, I am. Shall I recount some details from the past? Like how you called me Master, and I was once your Battle Pet." Seeing her scepticism, Jia Yan mentioned a couple of things that only the two of them would know.
"Ah! It really is you."
Daphne’s eyes brightened, and then she was somewhat thrilled.
Although this was only Jia Yan’s avatar, the power it possessed seemed extraordinary, capable of flying in the universe.
She had no idea how such an avatar was created, but that didn’t prevent her from realizing that its strength must be unimaginably formidable.
Moreover, up until now, the entire fleet’s scanning systems had failed to detect him. The Big Mosquito, under her watch, had grown in a few years to far surpass her strength. Now, after so many years, could it be that he had reached the Starry Sky Level?
Daphne naturally didn’t know the true power of the Starry Sky Level, but she thought that perhaps only those of the Starry Sky Level could fly in space as freely as Jia Yan’s avatar.
Of course, he must have a flying craft somewhere, just that the fleet hadn’t detected it.
"Alright, let’s go in for a chat. I have another matter to attend to shortly. I came now to assign you a mission," Jia Yan nodded and without waiting for Daphne to express any joy, flew straight into the opening of the ship’s cabin.
The trading ship seemed not as small as he had imagined when it shrank in view.
Jia Yan’s real body had once stayed in the Spaceship Space for some time, and now entering the Spaceship Space in his avatar, he felt some nostalgia.
As for Daphne, she watched Jia Yan in amazement, feeling almost like she was dreaming about the current situation.
In this vast Starry Sky, just as she thought of Big Mosquito, he had appeared so unexpectedly.
"Big Mosquito is truly not dead, and his strength has reached such a level. No matter how I look, I cannot fathom its depth. Impressive!"
Excitement sparked in Daphne’s eyes. The fleet she commanded was about to reach the Solar System, and though she had been worried about lacking high-end combat power, with the appearance of Big Mosquito’s so-called avatar, she felt more bold and certain about challenging the Ru Lan Empire’s half-combat class carrier once and for all!
"If I defeat that half-combat class carrier, it will take years for the two Great Empires to receive the intelligence. I could then suggest that Earth people accelerate their spaceship production and construction. Before the retaliation comes, the entire race of Earth people could escape into the stars. Though we would become a Wandering Species, it’s still better than the extinction of our entire Species!"
Daphne’s eyes shone even brighter.
Before, she could not fathom a way to save Earth’s Species, but with Jia Yan’s arrival, her confidence had grown immensely.
The creature guarding the hatch had seen Daphne emerge alone, but was startled to see an extra person come in with her, causing it to widen its eyes in surprise.
"Don’t blabber," Daphne coldly ordered as she passed by it.
The two made their way through, with Jia Yan listening to Daphne’s introduction as they walked.
"This is the living cabin area. After you left, our days have not been easy, but in all these years, I’ve at least managed to keep our population from declining."
Daphne pointed out the direction of the entire living cabin area to Jia Yan.
"Impressive, you’ve done well," Jia Yan also expressed his admiration.
Although the current scene was much more harrowing than before, Jia Yan, having managed many powers, understood that just maintaining this level of normalcy, relying only on a few spacecraft with limited living space, was already quite a feat.
