Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito -
Chapter 1208 - 39: Genius Battlefield
Chapter 1208: Chapter 39: Genius Battlefield
Boom boom boom!
The resonance of explosions shook the star universe.
Terrifying combat pressures erupted from both sides of the planet!
And battling them, a group of fearsome beings, were actually native creatures of this planet, each reaching levels beyond Dignitaries, even with some being Secondary Powerhouses or Semi-permanent Star Level Experts!
Although, under the crushing strikes of the two Strong Ones, they still fell, Jia Yan felt somewhat embarrassed—if these formidable creatures had appeared when he first arrived here, he would have certainly been dead.
"Eh, a Stellar-level being has obtained something else, and he’s heading northward!" Just as Jia Yan was surprised by the power of the giant star creatures, Adisa exclaimed uncertainly.
Given Adisa’s inherited part of the data and memory from the Light Shadow Monster, she understood how terrifying such beings could be, so upon seeing one approaching the giant star’s domain within one hundred thousand kilometers, she became naturally anxious.
Jia Yan also tensed up immediately; he had personally experienced how formidable Stellar-level experts could be.
"The Strong One from the other side has also arrived!"
Adisa’s detection capabilities were naturally much more powerful than Jia Yan’s biological senses. Having spotted one Stellar-level existence, she then noticed another Stellar-level being rushing towards the planet from the other side.
The momentum of both parties was extremely horrifying, as though a terrible battle was about to erupt.
"It seems that these two Strong Ones, through some means, have realized that the great existence here will not appear, or perhaps, that great existence has already died?"
Jia Yan pondered the reason why these two Stellar-level experts had come here.
After thinking it over carefully, he started to connect various pieces of information.
He guessed that the Giant Mosquito Fleet and he appearing in the Northern Star Domain must have inadvertently leaked some secrets, leading to a wave of large forces spreading word of the events within the Chaos Starfield to their own Stellar-level experts, and consequently, these two experts appeared!
"So that’s the case. I was wondering why these two Strong Ones would show up; normally speaking, the Northern Star Domain wouldn’t attract Stellar-level experts due to limited benefits. But these two Strong Ones have appeared; I suppose they had long heard of the existence of this giant star but didn’t know the precise location. Having heard the news spread by my Giant Mosquito Fleet, they confirmed the location of the giant star and then came to snatch its treasures?"
A glimmer of understanding flickered through Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes. Indeed, his reasoning was quite logical. Regardless of whether he was right or wrong, Jia Yan would not waver from what he intended to do next.
The enormous Adisa was like entering Subspace; not entirely into it, but merely part of it had entered Subspace, the whole entering a state primed for a space jump.
From below, the Adisa appeared transparent; without close observation, it would be nearly impossible to detect such a colossal Battleship here.
Furthermore, with a distance of one hundred thousand kilometers from the giant star, it would be very difficult for those two Stellar-level experts, no matter how strong, to detect its presence.
Jia Yan waited aboard the Adisa.
After more than half an hour, a world-shocking ray of light suddenly burst forth from below in the northern land.
The entire giant star seemed to shake!
"It’s started! Indeed, it’s impossible for the two Stellar-level experts to distribute the spoils peacefully without conflict!"
Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes shone again, a flash of joy twinkling within the multitude of facets.
What he feared was that the two Strong Ones would not fight. Without a battle, he would have no opportunity.
The battle below exploded again and again, with the entire giant star trembling.
Jia Yan was also amazed by the fight between the two Strong Ones.
To his knowledge, the most powerful being he had ever seen was at most a Semi-permanent Star Level existence; even when previously captured by Kong Ping, it was merely a one-sided arrest without any resistance, never seeing a Stellar-level expert’s strength.
But now, witnessing the battle of two Stellar-level existences, he suddenly realized that his judgment of Stellar-level experts needed yet another conceptual upgrade!
The power of a Stellar-level existence, to ordinary Semi-permanent Star Level experts, was akin to a godlike terrifying entity.
Each of their clashes, or the mutual pressure of their Domains, could make the vast giant star tremble, and the erupting volcanoes would almost incinerate Dignitaries with their fires.
Under their fierce battle, the threatening giant star, which posed immense danger to Jia Yan, seemed not to be dangerous at all. It was almost as if it could be completely annihilated by them.
This was merely the aftermath of their combat!
Jia Yan finally understood why it was said that those at the stellar level possess the easy capacity to obliterate a planet. To him, if they weren’t fighting over the mysterious giant star, any other planet would have already been directly destroyed!
The battle below continued unabated, and Jia Yan even saw space distort under the clash of these two titans, rendering his own space travel ability useless here, as the subspace had been nearly shattered by the two combatants.
"Master, their strengths seem evenly matched. However, they haven’t yet engaged in a final all-out battle. It seems they won’t decide their quarrel over these two items, and likely they will each take one artifact and leave," reported the Adisa, the smart brain with a partial memory of the Light Shadow Monster, analyzing the situation for Jia Yan.
"They haven’t gone all out yet? Sheesh... Just how terrifying is the stellar level?" Upon hearing this, Jia Yan sucked in a breath of cold air in shocked awe.
"Hmph, no matter how terrifying the stellar level might be, I must kill Kong Ping from the Bai Niao Battle Hall in the future. If there’s no chance now, so be it, but if an opportunity arises, I’ll first snatch the treasure in her possession as a form of interest..."
The hatred in Jia Yan’s eyes flickered unceasingly—after all, the Light Shadow Monster Senior had met his demise at the hands of Kong Ping, a fact that Jia Yan would never forget.
Eventually, the intense confrontation below continued for roughly another fifteen minutes before gradually coming to a halt.
It seemed the powerhouses might be engaged in some form of negotiation.
"Master, don’t be deceived by the ferocity of their battle. In reality, those at the stellar level are extremely wary of death. Each one of them has a lifespan of over ten thousand years, and special species can even live several times longer. They encounter treasures many times over in their lives, so unless an artifact reaches a heaven-defying level, they are unlikely ever to risk their lives for it," Adisa explained further to Jia Yan.
To the little Shadow Mosquito, it seemed his master was a bit too emotionally extreme, and he took this opportunity to advise and calm his master’s emotions.
After the battle below had ceased for a while, two large silhouettes—one considerably bigger than the other—slowly rose from the surface of the planet.
"Looks like there’s no chance," Jia Yan murmured despondently, watching the two powerhouses as they drew closer to the Adisa.
All he could hope for now was that as the two powerhouses ascended, they wouldn’t notice the Adisa if they happened to fly near it. Even though the Adisa had the chance to perform a jump escape, it was rather risky. He didn’t want to engage in any roller-coaster-like games; it wasn’t good for his health.
But just when he hoped for the opposite, those two powerhouses, while seemingly engaged in conversation, coincidentally flew towards the Adisa.
"Adisa, get ready to jump. Be careful, these two fellows are coming..." Jia Yan hurriedly instructed Adisa.
"Alright, Adisa has been prepared. May heaven help us that they don’t come this way," the tiny Mosquito said, somewhat astonished as he circled anxiously in the air, his fear clearly palpable.
However, the two powerhouses seemed to have noticed the Adisa, as they flew directly toward it, closing the gap to less than ten thousand kilometers.
At such close proximity, Jia Yan could even see them with his naked eye.
The two powerhouses were Kong Ping and the other, a massive monster much larger than her.
"Roar! Kong Ping, remember today’s incident. You actually snatched the Reverse Blood right from my hands, utterly outrageous. My Mercenary Union will suffer this bitter loss, but prepare yourself, Bai Niao Battle Hall, for the retaliation from my Mercenary Union!"
The massive monster, apparently at a disadvantage in the fight, spoke with some wariness in front of Kong Ping.
"Hehe, alright, if your Mercenary Union is ready for an all-out war with my Bai Niao Battle Hall, then go ahead and mobilize those old monsters when you return," Kong Ping laughed fearlessly in the face of the massive monster.
"But I forgot to mention, one genius from our Bai Niao Battle Hall became a permanent star level in the ’Genius Battlefield.’ Right now, although his strength can’t compare to yours or mine, give it two hundred years, he will surpass us and even reach your Mercenary Union’s old monster’s power levels. Hearing this, does your Mercenary Union still dare to make a move?"
Kong Ping’s words carried a hint of threat as she continued to address the massive monster.
"Uh... a genius from the Genius Battlefield? Sheesh, are you referring to that genius from your Bai Niao Battle Hall who reached Respect Level in a hundred years and Secondary Powerhouse status in two hundred—Bi Ao? He’s been in the Genius Battlefield for only a hundred years and he’s already promoted to the permanent star level? How is that possible..."
Upon hearing Kong Ping’s claim, the massive monster’s eyes immediately flickered with disbelief.
That Bi Ao had only cultivated for three hundred years to reach the star level, and he was already a legend within the vast region.
If such a powerful genius continued to cultivate, it was entirely possible that in two hundred years, he could reach the power levels of the ’Senior Predecessor’ seated within the Mercenary Organization, and in that case, the Mercenary Organization’s top position in this vast region might just have to be conceded to the Bai Niao Battle Hall.
