Chapter 1154: Chapter 35 Sister, long time no see. [Please subscribe to the official version]
You should know that even before, with the Giant Mosquito clan and now with the extraterrestrial strongmen brought back by Lord Assassin, they have been incredibly kind to Earth people, saving them countless times. But there’s always been a hurdle in the hearts of the Earth people: after all, they are an alien race. No matter how nice they are, they’re still outsiders. Who knows what they would do when they decide to leave or suddenly turn hostile?
However, if Earth had one of its own top-class strongmen, an ’Earthling’ returning from the stars who was even stronger than the Giant Mosquito Lord Assassin from those years past, then the entire Earth would truly be at ease!
Thanks to the propaganda from television media, this strongman seems to have established himself as some kind of ’Earth champion,’ or at least a strongman with significant ties to Earth. That’s why these past few days countless humans came to Shanghai City with a pilgrimage in their hearts. They knew that people from Jia’s family would be coming to Shanghai.
And just now, right after Jia Qi had just communicated with the military, television media began to broadcast live. This crowd knew that the mysterious top-class strongman had now arrived in Shanghai, and they became incredibly excited and rushed out of their rented inns or their own homes.
"Welcome, Sir Mo Ke!"
One by one, the Earth people below expressed their excitement to the segment of the battleship flying above them.
"Wow, wow! So many people," Jia Qi exclaimed, watching the scenery below, her little mouth barely able to close in amazement.
Jia Yan’s masked face also showed a hint of surprise, but he had been through similar scenes countless times before, so he remained very calm, simply flying over Shanghai City.
The segment of the battleship landed in the midst of the Earth Fleet Camp.
The Earth Fleet Camp, located in the former West District of Shanghai City, had transformed after countless days of crises with the Metal Monster and subsequent refurbishment and construction of the fleet. It now looked every bit a military stronghold.
But Jia Yan’s landing faced no hindrances; no battleships or fighter jets ascended to intercept him. Everyone on Earth knew the power of this being surpassed even that of the Giant Mosquito clan from before. Not only was there no need to intercept him on Earth, but it was also impossible to do so even if they’d wanted to.
Jia Yan was already holding half of the battleship when he saw a space clear below, and he flew down towards that spot.
Waiting there, unbeknownst to him as to when they had arrived, were numerous beings.
Amongst them were some non-Earth existences. Jia Yan was very familiar with their appearances; they were the extraterrestrial existences that he had brought from Earth’s forces led by Daphne ten years ago.
Among these beings, the two most familiar to him, one was Kari, the most powerful being in charge of military power on Earth now, and the other was Fuda, the Noodle Man whom Jia Yan always valued for his work in construction.
These two had helped Earth immensely, their accomplishments virtually on par with Jia Yan’s.
To these two beings, Jia Yan’s power had far surpassed their own, but he still approached them directly.
"Hello," he didn’t state his name right away because in the future they would undoubtedly realize this was him.
"Greetings, Great One," said Kari, as Earth’s strongest entity besides the ’Sheriff’ female from the Jia family. He followed protocol and greeted Jia Yan first.
"Hello everybody!" As Jia Yan greeted these beings, Little Sister Jia Lin, from within the living section of the battleship, hopped down energetically and called out loudly to everyone in front of her.
"Qiqi, remember to be polite, okay?" Jia Yan chided her with annoyance, prompting the little girl to stick out her tongue.
The surrounding beings and Earth’s high-ranking officials exchanged glances, understanding through this scene that this Sir Mo Ke had a deep connection with Jia’s family.
Some of Earth’s high officials felt helpless; it seemed like everything was tied to Jia’s family. Among these officials, Jia’s family members were just regular people, and the most formidable among them was merely the son-in-law who had charged into battle this time. Yet, Jia’s family had a reputation on Earth that seemed, quite naturally, even stronger than that of all the nations themselves.
And this Great Level strongman who had appeared so suddenly was also related to Jia’s family. It was hard to understand how the supposedly ordinary Jia family had such good luck to be acquainted with so many powerful beings.
Of course, at this moment, they dared not show any outward reaction.
With Jia Qi, the spritely little elf who had met virtually all the high officials present, breaking the ice, it didn’t take long for everyone to get acquainted through her introductions.
"Lord, we have organized a banquet. I wonder if you would like to join us?" After exchanging some pleasantries with Jia Yan, Kari asked.
"I’d rather not," Jia Yan shook his head. He was already past the period where he enjoyed such things. He spoke a few words and then prepared to leave.
He had come this time just to meet with Earth’s top officials and to return the half-segment of the battleship.
Picking up Jia Qi, who didn’t want to stick around either, Jia Yan flew up into the sky, and under his concealment, not a single camera could capture their departure.
Swiftly darting across the sky, for Jia Yan, traveling hundreds of kilometers back to Return City was nothing but a momentary task.
"Uncle Jiu, we’re home!" As Little Qiqi saw the familiar landscape below, she cheered with joy.
But Jia Yan was a bit surprised to see a woman sitting on the ground below Jia’s family home, occasionally looking up at the sky as though she had been waiting there.
Although she couldn’t perceive the arrival of Jia’s family with her strength, now that Jia Qi had left his arms, she would be detected.
"Well, it had to be done sooner or later, so let’s have a face-to-face meeting then," Jia Yan sighed deeply.
He descended to the ground with the little girl, landing outside the house where Jia Lin was. Just as they touched down, Little Jia Qi started shouting excitedly, "Mommy, Little Ruo Ruo, I’m back."
She rushed into the house with delight, while Jia Yan could only helplessly feel that on the other side of the vast Jia’s property, that woman immediately sensed Jia Qi’s presence and flew over to this place.
"Mommy, what’s wrong? You don’t even talk to me when I come back."
Before the woman arrived, Jia Yan felt from behind him in the house that Jia Lin, having seen her daughter, quickly embraced the little girl and rushed toward the house’s front door.
"Brother! Is that you?"
She had just reached the door when she saw the silhouette of that gentleman she had seen before standing outside. To Jia Lin, that silhouette was increasingly resembling her brother, whom she hadn’t seen for ten years.
Tears instantly blurred her vision. After calling out, Jia Lin was choked with sobs and couldn’t say another word.
She just gazed at that silhouette, trembling all over, unable to control herself.
"Momma..." Seeing her mother crying like that, the little baby girl in her arms also had her big eyes turn red and started crying along with her.
Jia Qi, who had been following along happily, understood something upon seeing this scene and her little mouth puckered up as her tears continuously fell.
How could she not know of her mother’s longing for ’Uncle’? She had thought her mother didn’t yet know Uncle’s true identity. Little did she expect that perhaps due to a mysterious sibling connection, nobody had to tell Jia Lin the truth; she realized it on her own.
"Sigh."
At that moment, the silhouette facing away from Jia Lin let out a gentle sigh.
Afterward, the figure slowly extended a hand and removed the mask that had been covering their face.
At that moment, Jia Lin finally understood the reality as her crying grew louder.
And the man turned around slowly.
In that moment, what felt like a year passed in an instant, Jia Lin could barely see through the tears clouding her vision. While crying, she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, and the face of the man turning around became clearly visible to her.
It was still that somewhat ordinary face with a gentle smile. Compared to him from a decade ago, there didn’t seem to be much change.
However, compared to ’him’ from over ten years ago, there was a hint more authority in the face and a presence that was beyond ordinary people.
Of course, his presence was different because he was an incredibly powerful being of the Great Level.
But to the woman in front of him right now, he only had one identity!
"Sister, long time no see." The man said smilingly, with a soft tone.
"Brother!"
Jia Lin finally shouted out loud, throwing herself into the arms of the man before her. Tears flowed uncontrollably like a fountain, and the little baby girl in her arms, startled by her mother, began to cry louder than ever before.
"Wah wah woo woo..." Jia Qi, not knowing when, had also rushed over, clinging to her mother with snot and tears streaming, nowhere near the dignified appearance of the Princess of the Jia Family who held a lofty status on Earth.
"Sigh." Looking at his little sister Jia Lin in his arms, Jia Yan let out a light sigh while his heart also swelled with emotion. For so many years, he had dreamt of this moment countless times, wondering if he would ever be able to reunite with his little sister during his lifetime.
And now, his dream had become a reality. Even though it was only an avatar, Jia Yan believed this was a way of fulfilling his dream in a different form. Perhaps from now on, he would let his family believe that this avatar was truly himself, which could be considered a kind-hearted lie.
"Alright, stop crying, you’re so grown up. Look at how upset you’ve made the two little ones, it’s not good." Jia Yan gently extended his hand to help his sister wipe away the tears from the corner of her eyes.
Jia Lin was crying so much she couldn’t speak properly, only sobbing and laughing with tears.
It wasn’t until several minutes later that the mother and her two daughters stopped crying and sat down inside the house.
"Brother, why did you disappear for so many years? Also, we clearly cremated you and buried the ashes; how is it that you...?"
Once Jia Lin had calmed down, a string of questions burst forth. She was even more curious because she had felt years ago that the Big Mosquito was her brother. So, what was the story with the man before her now?
