Chapter 1148: Chapter 29 He is a Guard of the Jia Family [First Update]

Seeing Jia Yan’s masked avatar annihilating the enemy fleet as effortlessly as chopping vegetables, the entire Earth Fleet was struck with overwhelming shock!

"So strong! Could he be here to help us? Or could he actually be one of us... an Earth person? Does Earth possess such a terrifying being? Someone even more powerful than the Assassin from ten years ago? Impossible..."

The survivors of the Earth Fleet were in sheer disbelief, many of whom had experienced the battle ten years ago and knew the power that Jia Yan, the Giant Mosquito, possessed back then, of course, that was the power of the Giant Mosquito a decade ago.

The current avatar of Jia Yan, although much smaller in size compared to the Giant Mosquito, seemed to surpass it in strength by an unknowable margin!

Wherever he passed, Austro battleships within a hundred-kilometer radius were utterly annihilated! Although the insides of the ships couldn’t be seen, it was clear as day that the Austro fleet was rapidly being put out of commission, one by one!

Jia Yan’s appearance on the battlefield lasted only a few minutes, yet it had already caused the total rout of the Austro fleet.

And he was still in pursuit!

While the Earth Fleet was still bewildered, a voice transmitted through the communicator reached every Earth Battleship on the battlefield.

"Daddy, Qiqi is here!"

Following this public channel broadcast, an odd-looking vessel, dragging what appeared to be a cobbled-together section of a battleship, moved directly behind the remaining Earth Fleet.

"Daddy? This voice seems to be that of a little girl. What exactly is going on?" Earth Fleet warriors exchanged confused glances.

The brutal battle they were just engaged in had already taken a surprising turn, and now here was the voice of a little girl? In this place billions of miles away from Earth?

As the entire fleet was shrouded in confusion, that arriving vessel’s rear opened, and Jia Qi flew to the outskirts of the battlefield.

She opened the living space communicator with some uncertainty and used video communication with the entire fleet.

Then, on the screens of nearly all the remaining Earth Battleships, appeared the image of a cute little girl.

"Daddy, Qiqi is here, don’t die, Daddy!"

Little Qiqi, seeing many of the Earth Fleet turned to debris during the battle, was now anxiously looking at the screen, hoping to hear news of her father.

"Uh?" Meanwhile, the entire Earth Fleet was astonished. As the elite of the fleet, a large portion of them recognized the Princess of the Jia Family.

What was the situation now? First, there was a being like an Earth person, alone, making the Austro fleet flee, and now the Princess of the Jia Family had arrived on the battlefield, in the Kuiper Belt, lightyears away from Earth?

Just as Jia Qi was about to cry from tension, her communication channel was connected by one of the battleships.

The screen flashed and a middle-aged man wearing glasses appeared.

He still wore a bewildered expression, having been prepared to die and unexpectedly saved by an utmost powerful being, and now, in a place beyond his wildest dreams, he was reunited with his daughter, whom he hadn’t seen in months.

"Qiqi? How... how did you get here?" He was unsure of what to ask, as everything seemed questionable.

"Daddy! I knew you’d be alright! I knew Mo Ke wouldn’t lie to me, Daddy, I’ve missed you so much!"

Jia Qi recognized the man immediately; he was her father she had come to rescue with Uncle Jo, the former ’Glasses Murderer.’

She exclaimed ’Daddy’ with joy and was about to reveal Jia Yan’s true identity, but her quick thinking made her correct herself in time.

"Mo Ke? Who is that? Could that be the name of the powerful being? Qiqi, come to Daddy’s battleship first, and then we can talk slowly." The middle-aged man with glasses, moved by his daughter’s longing words, felt warmth in his heart, but the situation was too strange at the moment.

In these past months, he’d often communicated with Jia Lin on Earth, and despite the time taken for the messages to travel, even with relays lasting weeks, he still knew the situation at home.

Details like his youngest daughter learning to call ’Mom’, Jia Lin’s irritation with his prolonged absence, and his eldest apparently starting to misbehave were not what he was focused on. What shocked and puzzled him was that a few days prior, communication had indicated his eldest was making friends at school and seemed happy.

At least a month ago, his daughter was still on Earth. How could she possibly have arrived in this starry sky within a month? Not to mention the feasibility, given that the spacecraft technology of Earth had not yet advanced to this level!

"Dad!"

As the two ships docked, and Little Jia Qi skillfully donned her spacesuit before using her Brainwave Power to fly into the young man with glasses’ battleship, she plunged into her father’s arms.

"Qiqi, don’t cry. Tell Dad what exactly happened. Who is that person?" The young man with glasses certainly hadn’t forgotten the biggest oddity.

At this moment, all the members of the remaining fleet were puzzled about the identity of that Strong One.

Hearing this voice, Jia Qi first smiled proudly, then, with a twirl of her eyes, said, "Dad, he’s Qiqi’s new Guard, impressive, right? His name is Mo Ke!"

Mo Ke?!

Just a guard of the Jia family?!

What a joke, with such strength, how could he be any guard? Is there anyone among the people of Earth with such power?

"Qiqi, Dad isn’t joking with you. You probably don’t realize how powerful this person is. Let me tell you, his Power could easily defeat the Auster Fleet, it’s simply beyond what we earthlings can imagine. He would be a guard for an earthling? That’s simply impossible. Tell me honestly, who is he?"

The middle-aged man with glasses’ face was extremely solemn. Although this entity had helped the Earth Fleet, his strength was so immense, so terrifyingly strong, that it was time to seriously consider whether this being was indeed a friend to Earth people.

Little did he know, as soon as he spoke, Jia Qi’s eyes bent into crescents with mirth, her demeanor a mix of pride and mischief.

"Dad, Qiqi promises he won’t do anything bad to Earth people. And I can even tell Dad a secret... This person is actually an Earthling. Since he’s one of us, how could he harm the Earth people? Otherwise, why would he be helping you fight the Auster people now?"

Her laughter was infectious, and anyone could see that the young girl knew the identity of the other party but was reluctant to say it.

"An Earthling? Impossible. How could any Earthling possess such formidable power? It can’t be true. Yet, looking at him, he does seem somewhat like an Earthling..." The middle-aged man with glasses was perplexed, murmuring to himself in a daze.

"Ha ha ha." Little Jia Qi seemed delighted at her father’s confusion, laughing so hard her belly ached and she continuously kicked her legs.

"In any case, as long as this entity is benevolent towards us Earthlings, that’s good. It’s just a shame that he arrived a bit too late. Otherwise, so many of our Comrades wouldn’t have died," the middle-aged man with glasses decided not to pursue the identity of this entity any further. A brief thought and anyone could understand that given such a level of strength, whether or not he was an earthling, if he wanted to harm Earth people, it would be simple. What good would knowing his true identity do?

When Dad mentioned the casualties, Little Jia Qi’s expression changed. It was her first encounter with the battlefield, and thinking carefully now about some of the scenes she had witnessed earlier, her little face paled instantly.

Meanwhile, at the front lines of the battlefield, Jia Yan was also somewhat remorseful for his carelessness.

At this point, the battlefield, or what was left of it, could hardly be called a battlefield anymore. It was merely a unilateral chase wherein Jia Yan single-handedly pursued countless Auster battleships, while behind them, he continued to use his Brainwave Power to doom swaths of battleships and Mechas.

Some of the small Auster battleships proved somewhat clever, breaking away from the squadron to escape, eliciting no pursuit from Jia Yan, allowing this faction to flee from the combat zone.

Jia Yan had a clear goal from the start – the colossal semi-combat carrier.

He hadn’t anticipated that the semi-combat carrier would be so acutely aware and had started escaping shortly after he entered the battlefield. Now, by using countless small combat units in their rear to block Jia Yan, they accelerated their escape.

However, catching up was not beyond Jia Yan’s capabilities. For now, he was just casually cleaning up the small units before tackling the main dish.

"Alright, our battleship is accelerating faster and faster. We’ll soon enter the period of ultra-fast acceleration. This Strong One may be terrifying, but he’s still just flesh and blood. Once we reach our top speed, there’s no way he could catch up to us!"

Inside the semi-combat carrier ahead, numerous Engine Controllers, sweating profusely, tirelessly executed their tasks. Their ship’s survival hung in the balance, and without their utmost effort, they faced certain death.

Luckily, these soldiers now had a sense of narrowly escaping disaster, for the battleship was about to undergo ultra-fast acceleration. Once they upped their speed, the Strong One behind them wouldn’t possibly catch them!

And behind this enormous battleship...

"They’re accelerating? Although I can still catch up even with their high speed, doing so would waste a great deal of my Energy. Better to just eliminate them now..." Jia Yan decided.

Then, while maintaining the release of his Brainwave Power, he utilized his most formidable combat skill...

Space Travel!

Jia Yan stepped into the twisting Space, and in the next moment, he appeared right beside the semi-combat carrier that was already five hundred kilometers away!
