Chapter 1098: Chapter 29 Ten Moves?! [First Update]
The light in Compound Eyes flickered slightly, as Jia Yan formed a judgment about the current situation in his heart.
"Boss, do you really have a way?" Kama stared at Jia Yan through the communicator, astonished.
"That’s right, you don’t need to come over now. I’ll go to Dragon Bell Star by myself," Jia Yan said indifferently.
"We’re not going?" Kama didn’t understand.
"Yes, I’ll go first to expose the lies of those two individuals and take the opportunity to make contact with your old subordinates. Such crude lies should be easily detected by those veterans, right? You make contact with them first."
Jia Yan briefly stated a couple of sentences and then slowly stood up from the ground of the Camp-Level Spaceship.
"Jia Yan, you need to get closer so I can detect the combat power on Dragon Bell Star. After all, I’m no god. Even a Stellar Level Strong One would find it hard to detect a strong presence billions of kilometers away."
Inside his body, the Light Shadow Monster made a comment.
"Okay, I’ll get closer then. I hope you can keep a good watch, Senior. My life is in your hands now."
Jia Yan stepped out of the Camp-Level Spaceship and then from the open ship’s side door, he skillfully made his way outside.
At this moment, in the starry sky, faint points of light were twinkling; they were the reason why this star domain was entirely occupied by civilization. It is said that in the Northern Star Domain, even the interstellar matter at the edges of a galaxy was inhabited, and numerous countries existed. This illustrated the prosperity and immense population of the region.
And those twinkling points of light were the habitation celestial bodies filled with life forms. Some were extremely small while others were Earth-like planets. They shone upon each other, making the entire starry sky dazzle with splendor, incredibly beautiful.
Without watching for long, Jia Yan bade farewell to Kama and the other high-ranking officers and then took flight.
The temperature in space is extremely low. Or rather, there’s essentially no temperature in the universe starry sky, as there’s no air to conduct heat. But a material in space will always slowly lose its heat, eventually becoming one of the coldest objects.
Fortunately, being a Star-level Existence, Jia Yan had an excellent resistance to the cosmic temperatures, so he didn’t feel too cold at this moment.
He flew through the interstellar space without much delay, heading straight for a destination billions of kilometers away. For a battleship, this distance might be very close, but for Jia Yan, it was still a bit far, needing some time to reach.
"Will your fleet state its allegiance or not? Otherwise, Dragon Bell Star will execute an expulsion on you."
Flying past a battleship, Jia Yan smiled faintly. The opposing side didn’t detect his presence at all.
For a presence of the starry sky level, unless it’s an extremely powerful battleship or a fully powered-up detection system, it’s quite hard for the detection systems of a battleship to find them. Jia Yan had concealed his energy fluctuations at this moment, and so the warship monitoring the Giant Mosquito Fleet was completely unable to sense him.
"Surely Kama can find a way to delay that warship," Jia Yan thought without disturbing the warship, quickly flying past.
The body size of the Giant Mosquito might be huge in comparison to other life forms, but in the vastness of the universe, they are no different from humans—just tiny ants. Thus, as he flew through the cosmos, he felt an infinite breadth of heaven and earth where, despite his own strength, he was merely a fleeting moment in time.
Of course, that’s indeed the case. No matter how strong a powerful one may be, no matter how high-tech a cosmic race is, in the grand scheme of the universe, or even just the Milky Way, they are but an insignificant flea—perhaps even the Stellar ones are just slightly more formidable fleas.
"The universe is so vast, it truly ignites an infinite curiosity for exploration," Jia Yan couldn’t help but feel deep reverence for the starry sky before him, along with an intense desire to explore it. Yet, he knew that no matter what, he could not possibly explore the entire universe.
"Forget it. Thinking too much is meaningless. What’s in front of me is what matters most. I’ll continue on to Dragon Bell Star and see what kind of force is there to deal with us!"
Big Mosquito moved at an extremely fast speed, and his acceleration ability was also not bad. The more he accelerated, the speed increased to a terrifying degree. Covering hundreds of millions of kilometers, it only took him a few short days to arrive.
Dragon Bell Star, a planet under a special alliance within the Northern Star Domain.
This planet was a bit peculiar to the outside world because it didn’t have much local protection for life from other worlds. Throughout history, the planet, having been ruled by several alliances and countries, was home to a large number of non-native species. This led to the planet’s open attitude, making it a place where many exiled politicians and soldiers from fallen nations made their living.
Among them were a sizable number of soldiers from the Original Taiya Country.
At this very moment on Dragon Bell Star, there was a mysteriously hidden place.
Most of the local people on Dragon Bell Star didn’t know that this was where the headquarters of the Taiya Country’s fugitive soldiers was located.
A few members of the Bella species, who looked similar to Earth people and wore shabby military outfits, were standing solemnly in front of some high-tech devices, watching a screen displaying the so-called ’Princess Kama’s speech.
"This is outrageous, she’s clearly not Princess Kama, yet she dares to use her name to claim that she won’t oppose the current ruling family of Taia! If such rhetoric spreads, won’t the Northern Star Domain stop recognizing Princess Kama’s war to retake the throne?" a being with strength around the Peak Heavenly level said through gritted teeth.
The soldiers present, all with power slightly above Sky Level, were among the strongest of the fugitive soldiers. Even two individuals here, exuding a terrifying presence, appeared to be presences of the starry sky level!
Upon hearing the words of this soldier, a star-level existence, also looked grave.
"No, it’s not right. The rumors about Princess Kama must be true. We analyzed the interview video of the Giant Mosquito Fleet and it was indeed Princess Kama herself. So why is the Princess Kama who came to Dragon Bell Star not the actual person? Could it be an impostor?" this star-level existence articulated the truth straightforwardly.
"Exactly, this fake must be trying to muddy the waters before the real Princess Kama can act. I just received news that a portion of the soldiers have decided to leave Dragon Bell Star. They’re saying if Princess herself has decided not to take back the country, then they don’t want to either. They’d rather just find a country where they can settle down for life."
"If this continues, even if the true Princess appears in the future, things will undoubtedly be hard to clean up. It’s not just about the soldiers, but also those factions. They’ve all heard the impostor preaching about peace. If the true Princess were to take action, the sentiments of these factions certainly wouldn’t be good," the two star-level existences said with grave concern.
These soldiers were only a part of the Taiya soldiers on Dragon Bell Star. Since they had to make a living on this planet, many had dispersed, and most of them didn’t have a firm resolution for reinstating the country. If the fake Kama continued to strike at their belief, then the military resources that the real Kama could gather here in the future might be reduced by more than half.
"If this fake princess could appear here, perhaps the real Princess might also be nearby. Let’s first reassure those who are wavering; if they are indeed uncommitted, missing them won’t matter much. Such existences would be unstable factors in battle anyway. Right now, we need to investigate thoroughly where the Giant Mosquito Fleet’s true body is. If we can’t contact the Princess, anything said is meaningless!"
...
At another mysterious location on Dragon Bell Star, several creatures stood indifferently atop a huge building, their expressions serious as they looked towards the docking point of the ’Giant Mosquito Fleet’ not far away.
"It would be a bummer if this Jia Yan had trouble before meeting us. I’d be very disappointed if he fails to show up," a creature resembling a moth monster, grooming its slender antennae, said disdainfully.
"Don’t worry, even if he doesn’t show up this time, we’ll still take you to meet him," responded another creature, unbothered by the moth monster’s attitude, and laughing.
"I find you quite strange, asking me to test him just because of an outsider monster. Moreover, I’m the one who has to find him. Don’t you know I’m quite busy? As a genius, I don’t have so much free time," the moth monster said somewhat irritably, shaking its head.
"We are fully aware that your time is precious, but perhaps in this Northern Star Domain, only someone of your standing is qualified to challenge Jia Yan on an equal level. Don’t underestimate him; he might actually be able to withstand more than ten moves against you," the creature standing beside the moth monster said with neither humility nor arrogance.
"Huh?" The moth monster was taken aback at this statement and then looked up weirdly at the creature that had spoken, "Are you joking? The idea that he could withstand ten moves against me is a gross underestimation."
"Heh, I didn’t say that. Actually, I also don’t think he could withstand ten moves against you, but it was our Boss who said it. You surely can’t doubt our Boss’s words, can you?" the creature replied to the moth monster.
"Your Boss said it!" The moth monster was surprised, then nodded respectfully, "Since it was your Boss who said it, I won’t get angry. However, my interest in that Jia Yan has increased a bit. I want to prove to your Boss that Jia Yan wouldn’t possibly withstand ten moves against me! Five moves would be generous. You know, I am the strongest star-level existence among the young generation in the Northern Star Domain!"
