Chapter 1072: Chapter 3: Tiger-Headed Monster [Subscribe Requested]
Giant Mosquito Fleet members had never imagined that, in the Northern Star Domain with its numerous powerful forces, their first encounter would turn out to be such a grand welcome.
Hao Tower Star was a yellow planet the size of Mars, where vegetation was sparse.
Yet the entire planet was filled with various military facilities, and a population of two hundred million was not considered much for the entire planet; moreover, there were not many strong individuals. At least, according to Kama’s intelligence, aside from one top-tier Venerable Class Force, there were only three high-space level generals who could match Lord Jia Yan in combat.
Of course, the combat power of a military planet was not merely measured by the number of strong ones. After all, in the Northern Star Domain here, the sheer strength was no longer absolute. The technology here could greatly close the gap against adversaries at the star space level, not to mention the current Giant Mosquito Fleet, whose strength in strong ones and technology was far behind that of the hosts.
Luckily, there were no conflicts of interest between the two parties, and Jia Yan’s visit was not with the intention of waging war.
Boom, boom, boom, boom.
The sound of saluting cannons boomed endlessly as Camp-Level Spaceships from the Giant Mosquito Fleet, under the warm reception of the hosts, entered the defense zone of Hao Tower Star.
After all, in the territory of an unfamiliar power, it was impossible for Jia Yan and Kama to allow the entire fleet to directly enter Hao Tower Star, so at present, aside from the Camp-Level Spaceships, only a few battleships that carried some high-ranking officials descended to the interior of the planet.
Even if Jia Yan had wanted the entire fleet to enter the planet, it was unlikely that Hao Tower Star would agree, since their relationship had not yet reached such a cordial level.
The Kuditan People’s Camp Grade Spaceship, after several enhancements and retrofitting by some skilled personnel within the fleet as planned by Jia Yan, now had commendable combat power, not to mention its exterior, which had some presence. At this moment, it was at the forefront, entering the atmosphere amidst flames, and was quite imposing.
Jia Yan inside this Camp-Level Spaceship, noticed a small flying craft that had been following and filming all along.
"Ladies and gentlemen, as a good friend of our Hao Tower Alliance, the flagship of the Giant Mosquito Fleet is a huge battleship stretching two kilometers in length. Just look at its armor; all this represents the fearsomeness of this battleship. It is certain that Lord Jia Yan, the highest leader of the Giant Mosquito Fleet, takes this friendly encounter very seriously, so he has sent the strongest flagship of the Giant Mosquito Fleet to our star!"
Along the way, Jia Yan had been listening to the broadcast praising his own fleet. Before, he hadn’t thought much of it, but now, hearing the other party referring to his fleet’s Camp-Level Spaceship as a ’powerful battleship’, even he couldn’t help but blush.
Hao Tower civilization really knew how to exaggerate. The Kuditan People’s Camp Grade Spacecraft was primarily built for the escape of Kuditan people, not to mention combat power, it was uncertain whether it could even outfight an average merchant vessel, and now the other party was hyping it up as if anyone with knowledge of battleships would know it was a lie.
But Jia Yan had no reason to refute since the other party liked to embellish the facts.
A few battleships landed quickly; landing on a planet with standard gravity, no accident was likely to occur.
Aside from paying attention to the filming aircraft that followed the spaceship, Jia Yan also noticed the environment of this planet.
The vegetation on this planet was sparse, cities were built upon yellow sands, and due to the overall small population size, buildings were few and far between.
However, what should have been a scarce population was now gathering on the ground in large numbers, some holding banners with Northern Star Domain script welcoming the Giant Mosquito Fleet.
Jia Yan had learned the language of the Northern Star Domain, of course. The script of this starfield was said to be a variant of the Luozi Empire’s script, with the two languages not being significantly different.
The closer he got to the ground, the clearer those welcoming beings became. When Jia Yan and his entourage landed at the spacecraft port as directed by the hosts, they saw that outside the entire port, the national citizens of the planet almost covered the sky.
Thump...
Jia Yan only heard the sound of his own spaceship slowly descending.
What followed was an overwhelmingly frantic noise that nearly submerged his antennae-like ears!
"Welcome to the dignitaries of the Giant Mosquito Fleet."
"Welcome, welcome! Real friends of the Hao Tower Alliance, the arrival of the dignitaries of the Giant Mosquito Fleet."
"..."
The thunderous noises outside almost penetrated the well-insulated battleship; through the screens, Hao Tower City’s residents—all of a lower stature and of various species—were observable, most of which, like Kama, resembled the humans of Earth!
"Lord, do not be surprised. Among the main species of this Northern Star Domain, there is my own species, the Bella clan." Fortunately, Kama, sensing Jia Yan’s curiosity, immediately explained.
In fact, she also found it odd. Based on Jia Yan’s various actions, such a shrewd woman as Kama had long detected that Big Mosquito seemed to be curious about her species. Now that Jia Yan had revealed interest again in the Bella people, she suddenly understood...
Lord Jia Yan probably has some connection to the Bella species, or perhaps with the Kuditan clan. Otherwise, why would he keep assisting and paying attention to these two similar species?
When the doors of the Camp-Level Spaceship opened, the cheers from outside became even more tremendous. The whole world was filled with praise for the Giant Mosquito Fleet.
"Uh, is our fleet really that famous?" several high-ranking officers trailing behind Big Mosquito muttered to themselves.
"How should I know? These people from Hao Tower Star probably think we’re on drugs," shrugged another conversationalist.
"Enough, no more talk. To Hao Tower Star, we might be a breakthrough in diplomacy, and for us, aren’t they a breakthrough as well? Put on a good show, you lot. We can’t afford to lose face during our fleet’s first appearance in the Northern Star Domain!"
Kama scolded the chatting higher-ups of the Giant Mosquito Fleet. In truth, everyone present was very astute, clearly understanding the intentions of the Hao Tower Star’s higher-ups. Yet, after feeling like they were being calculatedly used, those high-ranking officers were not pleased.
But after Kama’s words, they all had a realization: she was absolutely correct. The Hao Tower Alliance was using them as chess pieces, but the recently arrived Giant Mosquito Fleet was also seeing the other side as chess pieces. Perhaps the Giant Mosquito Fleet could greatly increase its exposure through this method and swiftly secure its footing in the Northern Star Domain where Strong Ones and powers were both incredibly numerous.
Having thought through this, the high-ranking officers no longer said anything superfluous, now following close behind Big Mosquito’s massive form with renewed vigor.
Jia Yan observed his subordinates, nodding in satisfaction. Though these guys had quick tempers, it seemed they truly identified with the fleet, otherwise, they would not feel so vexed by the Hao Tower Alliance.
What he naturally didn’t know was that his performance within the Chaos Starfield had conquered all his subordinates, not just because of his strength but also the appearance of the Adisa, both suggesting something extraordinary about this Big Mosquito monster.
If they had really followed a future Stellar Level being, they couldn’t even begin to imagine how much their own statuses might rise. They naturally treated the Giant Mosquito Fleet with even more dedication!
Click-clack!
When Jia Yan stepped out onto the threshold of the spaceship door, a flurry of flashes suddenly lit up from the outside world, astonishingly similar to the photo technology found on Earth.
A large welcoming party was waiting outside.
The moment Jia Yan took a look at the leader of the welcoming team, his eyes glistened.
Here was a massive creature over a hundred meters away, one that even made Jia Yan seem less impressive.
It resembled a tiger but was even more robust and powerful.
"What a strong monster, even though it’s also at a High-space Level, it’s certainly more formidable than those top ten Strong Ones in the Desolate Star System."
Jia Yan eyed the creature, a flicker of wariness passing through his gaze.
But it was just a flicker of wariness, after all. It’s worth noting that his strength was originally capable of combating all the monsters of the top Strong One class, and this monster’s power probably exceeded that of the strongest among the top ten by just a bit. For Jia Yan at this time, it no longer posed a serious threat.
"Welcome, Lord Jia Yan. I’ve long heard of your exceptional strength, and seeing you today, I’m even more terrified than the rumors suggested!" the tiger-headed monster spoke, with a twinkle of trepidation in his eyes, seemingly truly fearful of Jia Yan’s power.
"You flatter me," smiled Jia Yan as he stepped forward.
Images of two monsters standing together were captured incessantly by countless media outlets. These photos would likely become the front-page headline of the entire planet by tomorrow.
The meeting of the two leaders was just a spectacle, not a place for serious talk. For Jia Yan, such treatment was a first, so he didn’t feel any discomfort amid the novelty of the situation.
After a round of introductions from the accompanying personnel, the tiger-headed monster chuckled at Jia Yan.
"Lord Jia Yan, after such a long journey, please rest at our guest quarters."
"Thank you, I appreciate your effort," Jia Yan responded with a nod.
Here, he didn’t detect much targeting from artillery, especially after he showed just a hint of strength slightly surpassing that of the tiger-headed monster. The guns had completely disappeared.
In the Universe, power commanded respect. It was a rule applicable everywhere.
The two massive creatures entered a gigantic vehicle specially designed for enormous monsters like them.
This was Jia Yan’s first time riding in such a vehicle. At first, he was rather amazed, but after a look with his Energy Sense, he realized it was nothing more than a conventional energy-powered, metal contraption and paid it no further attention.
"Lord Jia Yan, our arrangement was just coincidental. I hope your side doesn’t mind. It was definitely not a sign of malicious intent towards you."
After boarding the vehicle, the tiger-headed monster apologized directly to Jia Yan.
