Collecting scrap?
"Uh..." Jia Yan looked at the light screen monitoring behind him and saw a fleet of Giant Mosquito battleships rapidly approaching this location.
Jia Yan could understand the meaning of Senior Light and Shadow, that he simply looked down on these battleships!
But this was a fleet that Jia Yan had finally obtained, and he did not think these were pieces of junk.
If these were considered junk, what would Senior Light and Shadow think of his ’Earth Fleet’ on Earth? Wouldn’t he directly accuse him of picking up the junk of all junks?
"Hehe, Senior has a vision that reaches the heavens; my humble assets naturally do not catch your eye. However, I think I should send a message to my subordinates. I hastily informed them when we broke through earlier; they might still not believe that I am inside this Armor backpack."
Jia Yan said with a wry smile, shifting the topic.
He had a premonition that, with Senior Light and Shadow’s perspective, there would surely be similar forks in the road in the future.
"All this junk and toys, what do you even want with them, really." Senior Light and Shadow grumbled, but did not stop Jia Yan’s actions.
Previously, when Jia Yan had broken out of the Giant Star with the help of his Armor backpack, he had used the communicator on the Armor to speak with Kama of the Giant Mosquito Fleet, otherwise, the sudden sight of such a massive spaceship taking off could have caused unimaginable panic throughout the entire Giant Mosquito Fleet.
"Kama, tell the fleet to come closer, this Terrifying Battleship is very safe," Jia Yan spoke into the communicator.
"Alright, Lord," replied a melodious female voice from the other end of the communicator. However, her tone seemed to barely conceal her astonishment.
At this moment, within the Giant Mosquito Fleet, it was not just Kama who was affected; the entire fleet was in an uproar, for how could they have ever imagined a battleship so vast and terrifying could exist between heaven and earth, and that its form was so startlingly different from that of regular battleships.
Of course, what the members of the Giant Mosquito Fleet hadn’t anticipated was that operating this massive battleship was their Leader, the Strongest of the whole fleet, previously thought to have met an accident—Lord Jia Yan!
The entire fleet was abuzz at the moment.
"Do you guys think this might be a blinding method from that battleship? Maybe a Monster inside killed Lord Jia Yan and then took control of the battleship. Now it’s luring us in to wipe us out in one fell swoop?"
"Have you lost your mind? With such a Terrifying Battleship, if they wanted to annihilate us, wouldn’t a single attack be enough to destroy our entire fleet? Keep in mind that no civilization in the Universe could easily build such a battleship; the sheer size of their battleship indicates that their technological strength surpasses our fleet’s technological power by who knows how much."
"Do you all really think Lord Jia Yan is dead? You are the fools! Someone of Jia Yan’s Level and so young, his fortune far exceeds your imagination. According to me, this might actually be a treasure brought out by Lord Jia Yan. Haha, if that’s indeed the case, then our fleet just became infinitely more powerful!"
"That’s right, this must be a Terrifying Battleship brought out by Lord Jia Yan!"
"Haha, if that is true, then joining the Giant Mosquito Fleet was no mistake. Even in the Northern Star Domain, there isn’t such a Terrifying Battleship."
...
Noise was resounding through the Giant Mosquito Fleet at the moment; for the fleet, Jia Yan’s presence was undoubtedly towering. The chaos caused by Jia Yan’s communication blackout seemed almost as if it had never happened. Those restless individuals all suddenly lost their voices, becoming incredibly docile.
"Lord!"
As the fleet drew near, a figure incomparably small relative to the massive Adisa emerged from the ship. Seeing this figure, Kama, inside the Kuditan People’s Camp Grade Spaceship, exclaimed in surprised delight!
That figure was Jia Yan. Upon seeing him, all doubts within the fleet dissipated completely, and Kama, who had been somewhat fearful, finally put her heart completely at ease.
One must know that this woman had been under tremendous pressure for the past few days. After all, the Giant Mosquito Fleet was a newly established force with insufficient cohesion. That the fleet didn’t disintegrate without its strongest leader, Jia Yan, was already a testament to Kama’s abilities!
It didn’t take long for Jia Yan’s massive frame to approach all the docking ships of the Giant Mosquito Fleet.
The Giant Mosquito Fleet, of course, didn’t dare neglect him and opened the Kuditan spaceship’s hatch to welcome his arrival.
"Kama, how is the fleet’s collection work going?" Jia Yan entered the Camp-Level Spaceship, and before all the crew members could ask their burning questions about the Adisa, he addressed the welcoming Kama first.
"Ugh! Lord, although there have been some discordant incidents within the fleet, under everyone’s coordinated efforts, a lot of resources were gathered, and we even managed to acquire many of the special materials you specified," Kama quickly suppressed her curiosity upon hearing Jia Yan’s questions and responded to Jia Yan.
"Very well."
Jia Yan’s massive form shifted within the Camp-Level Spaceship. As he moved, he felt increasingly that the previously sufficient spacecraft was now far too small.
"I know you’re curious about the other spaceship. All I can tell you is, that in the future, it will belong to our Giant Mosquito Fleet. But for certain reasons, you cannot enter it now. In the future, when the chance arises, it will become one of our assassins, but for now, its combat power is completely lost."
"That’s so."
Kama shook her head slightly, disappointed. She had thought a lot about it; if this huge battleship could possess a matching colossal combat power, it would have been good news for her, especially considering the ’thing’ she wanted to ask of Jia Yan in the future. It could have been a real assassin, but now, hearing what Jia Yan had said, she felt suddenly disheartened.
"Alright, since you’ve had a good harvest at the Mysterious Giant Star, let’s leave. The secrets here are not for our fleet to meddle with. With these gains, we already have enough," Jia Yan said to Kama and the other fleet members.
His implication was that there were secrets within this giant star? This statement left all the members somewhat dumbstruck. Previously, some had speculated this, but to them, the existence of the giant star was a mystery too profound to fathom; vast and magnificent, which made the members increasingly reluctant to consider it as a place harboring secrets, as it exceeded their imagination.
If there were secrets, could the entire existence of this giant star be artificially created? An entire giant star several million kilometers in size?!
Originally, Tong had stopped believing in this, but Jia Yan had now unexpectedly confirmed that there truly were secrets here?
Everyone had no choice but to believe it because Jia Yan had indeed produced a ten-kilometer battleship from within the giant star! If there were no secrets, that would be truly unbelievable.
Then, if one could fashion a ten-kilometer Terrifying Battleship and if Lord Jia Yan still claimed the secrets here were even more frightening, the level of the secrets here...
At this thought, all battleship members couldn’t help but feel a chill in their hearts.
This revealed secret would be astonishingly significant.
However, Jia Yan had no intention of going into detail. If he were to claim that this location might be manipulated by an existence surpassing the Stellar Level, or even that the entire giant star, perhaps even the entire Chaos Starfield, might have been the work of another party, then the fleet’s members might label him as mad.
"Our harvest from this Giant Star is sufficient, let’s set sail immediately. I won’t be staying here. In the future, I’ll be on that Terrifying Battleship." Jia Yan informed Kama.
As he was about to step away, Kama’s voice of confusion came from behind.
"Lord, then... what about Souwu?" She asked, sounding both surprised and apprehensive.
Jia Yan paused mid-step and then slowly turned back.
If Kama hadn’t asked, he might have nearly forgotten the topic. But as he turned, he saw that Kama’s expression was knowingly resigned, which made his heart sink as well.
Speaking of which, Kama had a better relationship with Souwu. During their half-year of wandering in the Desolate Star System, Kama and the old monster Souwu had traversed many places, completing tasks assigned by Jia Yan. They surely had more than a casual friendship.
"I’m sorry, Kama, Souwu...," Jia Yan hesitated before continuing without much pause: "Souwu was killed by a native monster within the giant star while fighting alongside me." He spoke softly.
It was a lie, but Jia Yan didn’t feel any remorse about revealing it. Should he admit that after Souwu regained his sanity, he attempted to scheme against Jia Yan and was consequently killed by Jia Yan himself?!
Jia Yan would never say that, even if some fleet members might think it; he definitely wouldn’t admit it himself. It wasn’t just about his own reputation...
Aside from their encounter in the Foggy Area, Jia Yan had had a fairly decent relationship with Souwu in the past. And since the man was now dead, what point was there in smearing his name?
"Souwu is dead?" Upon hearing this, Kama’s demeanor also dimmed. She could vaguely sense Jia Yan’s concealment, but what of it? Kama knew more about Souwu’s deeds than the average fleet member—if it really was Jia Yan who had acted, it could only be said that Souwu had brought it upon himself. Besides, Jia Yan’s silence signified that Lord Jia Yan’s overall sentiment towards Souwu remained positive.
"Let’s hold a funeral for him tomorrow. Take a Life-Extension Stone from our supplies, something he always wanted when he was alive, and use it as an offering," Jia Yan shook his head.
"Alright," Kama replied, her mood not particularly elevated, simply nodding slightly.
Jia Yan proceeded to arrange several other affairs and glanced at the visibly uncomfortable Kama, then, with a long sigh, flew away from the Camp-Level Spaceship.
