Though Jia Yan was confident in his defensive power, he was not arrogant enough to believe that he could move unhindered across the Universe. It’s important to remember that even for stellar beings, the Universe is full of life-and-death crises.

For instance, black holes, various kinds of interstellar radiation, and sudden movements of dark matter, among others.

Unfortunately, the space distortion he was facing now was one of the crises even stellar strong ones feared!

"However, Rong Bo dared to enter, which must mean he was confident. He just said that he had spent many hands exploring this place, there should be a way to survive!"

Jia Yan forced himself to remain calm, the gleam in his Compound Eyes never dimmed.

He drifted forward, and though this distorted space didn’t seem particularly dangerous at the moment, Jia Yan’s tense nerves did not relax. He knew that the more normal the situation seemed, the more danger awaited him. He didn’t believe that Rong Bo would use up all his power to enter this place without having some contingencies planned.

Jia Yan controlled his body to move slightly backward, but he couldn’t contact the vacuum area behind him. He was only a short distance from the area he had entered, but he couldn’t return no matter how he tried.

"It seems this is indeed a space distortion area," Jia Yan thought somberly.

Regarding space distortion areas, Jia Yan didn’t know much. It was only recently, as he prepared for a long journey, that he had read about them in some Starry Sky textbooks.

Such areas only appear in regions where stars have erupted or in forbidden territories of travel. As one of the forbidden territories, the existence of twisted spaces in the Chaos Starfield was common knowledge, but what Jia Yan didn’t know was that they had been traveling in a distorted space all along, and within this twisted space lay another twisted space—an incomprehensible matter to him.

This type of space might be difficult for Earth people to understand, or for many Earth people to grasp that there are spaces within the Universe itself that are distorted. However, Earth’s scientific researchers had long predicted that space in the Universe wouldn’t just be flat.

It was only after Jia Yan actually ventured out into the Universe that he realized the issue of space distortion was far greater than he had imagined. Strictly speaking, the gravitational wave system could also be considered a type of space distortion, and the space travel ability of the majestic spaceship, to some degree, was artificially creating a minor distortion of space.

Now, the space distortion scene he witnessed was an extreme version of space distortion. It might have been caused by a stellar explosion thousands or billions of years ago, or perhaps it was a projected phenomenon of the Universe itself distorting. In any case, it had slowly evolved into the terrifying twisted crisis now displayed before Jia Yan.

Jia Yan could not reach the way back, and a bright luster appeared in his Compound Eyes. He then halted no longer and surged forward!

Regardless of what lay ahead, he had to find a way to escape quickly. Not only was staying in this dangerous place increasingly hazardous, but the Giant Mosquito Fleet, without his presence, would find destroying Rong Bo’s nearly a thousand Battleships an easy task!

"Huh?!" Just as Jia Yan took flight, he suddenly sensed a looming crisis from his right.

A purple figure, though no longer as fast as before, eerily appeared right next to Jia Yan. Its forelimb made a gentle jab, leaving a faint mark of light on the azure surface of Jia Yan’s body, before swiftly retreating!

"Rong Bo?"

Just as Jia Yan turned his head, the body that attacked him had strangely spun around and fallen back into the distorted space behind. Jia Yan thrust his middle limb forward, only to strike empty air!

"So that’s his plan!" Jia Yan realized after seeing his opponent’s move, his heart unexpectedly lifted!

The greatest fear of all creatures lies in the unknown. As long as the opponent demonstrated an attack stance, Jia Yan knew that he wasn’t really using the natural dangers of the area to attack him.

It seemed Rong Bo was exploiting his familiarity with this Land of Distortion to launch an attack on Jia Yan.

"Hmph, as long as he can’t break my defense, I stand on invincible ground!" Jia Yan calmed down, adopting a defensive stance toward the surrounding scene.

He also controlled his body to drift forward. Since Rong Bo dared to enter here, there must be other exits. Jia Yan didn’t believe his opponent harbored thoughts of mutual annihilation to lure him here.

"Jia Yan!" Just as Jia Yan moved forward, Rong Bo suddenly stepped out from behind, his massive body looming over Jia Yan’s back.

Jia Yan’s heart chilled, and his rear limbs flashed out instantly, pouncing towards where Rong Bo was.

The distance between them wasn’t far, and with Jia Yan’s preparedness, his pouncing rear limbs arrived almost instantly.

However, Rong Bo merely stepped back nonchalantly, and Jia Yan’s attack went into the twisted space. He only saw his rear limbs start to twist and a mild pain transmitted through his body, prompting him to quickly retract them!

His rear limbs failed to strike Rong Bo, but instead displayed a brilliant azure, indicating a moment of crisis from Rong Bo’s previous manipulation!

"This twisted space is indeed dangerous!" As Jia Yan looked at his nearly injured rear limb, a shock ran through his heart, and he dared not attack or move recklessly again!
