Before chasing after that semi-operational star thief force, Jia Yan had roughly assessed the combat power of this battleship. Apart from the few battleships that the top Strong Ones had boarded that day, he truly hadn’t seen a better one!
"This battleship really is excellent, the generosity of the Strong Ones is hard to be unhappy with!"
Jia Yan lay prone within the neatly maintained battleship, feeling very satisfied with its relatively spacious interior.
"However, from the battle with those five Strong Ones, it’s clear that at my level of existence, ordinary battleships are no longer of much help in combat. Even the Strong Ones had to disembark to fight me. I’m afraid that this battleship, when fighting against those of the same level, would be almost of no help at all..."
After examining the battleship for a while, Jia Yan turned his attention back to his own body. To have leaped to this extent in one go was like a huge jump. Jia Yan, although he had gone through several mutations, found this enhancement too great for him and needed time to properly adapt.
"My body has become much stronger so quickly. My old combat style is somewhat outdated. Even without any changes to my body, if I had been able to control it better during the fight with the five Strong Ones, I might have defeated those five guys easily..."
Jia Yan reviewed his combat style, relieved that he had read many useful combat books before the mutation and had developed his own Path. Now, he just needed to take a good look at his strengths and put them in order.
"My defense is still my biggest survival tool. During the fight with the five Strong Ones, they were almost desperate against my defense. So it’s foreseeable that in the future, my defense will continue to be a strong foundation for saving my life."
"As for attack, it’s not that my attacks are weak, but my moves are too simple. In the battle with those five, because of my lack of combat experience, it was extremely difficult for my moves to land on them. However, this isn’t something that can be easily resolved. I need to engage in more battles. After all, hasn’t each of those five gained their experience from hundreds and thousands of battles?"
Jia Yan summarized a bunch of his strengths and weaknesses but felt that he still hadn’t pinpointed the essentials.
The disadvantage of having no one to guide him was now apparent. As an Evolutionary Creature born and bred on Earth, Jia Yan had always relied on instinct. Occasionally, he acquired some data from powerful beings to expand his combat experience, but in reality, his shortcomings were significant. If not for his excellent physical condition, his fights against the Strong Ones wouldn’t have looked good.
Now at such a powerful stage, perhaps even the top Strong Ones would be stunned to hear that Jia Yan, an existence on their level, had gotten there without any guidance, through his own struggles.
Of course, their astonishment might not stem from the impressive Big Mosquito Talent but rather from the fact that the Big Mosquito had fought his way to the present stage by instinct, which seems incredibly lucky...
Jia Yan now felt a barrier in his groping for understanding. No matter how he thought about it, he sensed many significant flaws in his strength but was unable to see through and improve them, feeling extremely frustrated at heart.
However, Big Mosquito was not just contemplating these matters; he was also reinforcing his body, undergoing further mutation and solidification.
After each mutation, there would still be some room for a small bump in strength. Jia Yan was now savoring the pleasure of this slight increase in power.
"As long as my strength improves a bit more, even if I can’t defeat the joint effort of the top Strong Ones, I should at least not lose, right?" Jia Yan mused, a trace of a smile in his heart as he felt the incremental power increase unfolding.
As for combat, he had no more options but to wait for the accumulation of time, to see if it’s possible to slowly build up enough combat experience and then devise better methods and styles of fighting.
After all, Jia Yan’s body was sufficiently powerful. Sometimes relying on instinct wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, it was just slightly disadvantageous when facing equally formidable opponents.
Days passed amidst the Kuditian fleet’s excitement and the rest of the galaxy’s dread, concluding a week’s time.
"Alright, the supplies are roughly enough, and even the finances are well-prepared. We’ll be quite the wealthy force even in the Northern Star Domain."
One day, after receiving Kama’s report via communication, Compound Eyes’s sparkle was particularly prominent.
"Kama, have the fleet... no, the fleet set out. As for the battleship workers you’ve personally tested, take full responsibility for them. I leave the fleet’s safety and command in your hands!"
On the other side of the communicator, Kama’s portrait momentarily flushed with excitement.
Although expecting that Jia Yan would entrust significant authority to him, hearing the news still filled Kama with an excited flush.
"Thank you, Lord! I will certainly command this fleet well, but before that, please, Lord, give the fleet a name..." Kama replied with utmost respect.
"Naming?" Jia Yan felt somewhat moved. It was another force he had raised. Previously, within the Orion Arm, he had named several fleets and now another awaited his naming.
