As soon as Lu Hao utterred those words, everyone who had been moved just a moment before burst into laughter.

Looking at the people laughing in all directions, Lu Hao wore a look of complete bewilderment.

Time passed at a steady pace, and since other family members had to work, all of Lu Yiting’s wedding preparations had been handed over to Gu Qianru. Luo Qiao’s school term didn’t start until after the fifteenth, so she had been staying with the Gu family during this period without returning to her family’s home.

She had made two sets of suits in different colors for Lu Yiting, one pair of khaki straight-leg pants with a short hooded trench coat, and one pair of black suspenders with a clean white shirt underneath. Then she made a woolen knee-length skirt suitable for spring and autumn, as well as a summer dress.

Now they had put together a total of eight outfits. After finishing, she found some time to send the design drawings for these garments to the clothing factory.

Upon seeing her, Lu Ningzhou joked, "I was starting to think you’d forgotten you owned a clothing factory."

Luo Qiao laughed, "I’ve just been too busy."

As Lu Ningzhou poured Luo Qiao a glass of water, he asked, "Are you here to deliver design drawings?"

Luo Qiao took them straight out of her bag, the drawings for the suits she made for her sister-in-law, "Start making these styles first; we’ll release them for sale after a month."

Lu Ningzhou asked, puzzled, "Why?"

Luo Qiao took a sip of water, "My sister-in-law is getting married on the sixteenth next month, and I made each of these designs into one set for her. So I don’t want the clothes to flood the streets before she even gets married."

She had marked the fabric and colors for each garment on the drawings.

After hearing this, Lu Ningzhou gave Luo Qiao a thumbs up, "You’re really doing a commendable job as a sister-in-law."

After chatting for a bit, Lu Ningzhou said, "Do you want to take a look at the workshop? The factory has added another building recently; we’ve been swamped with orders and have recruited fifty more seamstresses."

"That sounds good. Let’s go check out the workshop. I need to get back to look after the kids soon," Luo Qiao agreed.

Lu Ningzhou slapped his forehead, "Right, I almost forgot about that."

Having said so, he turned around and left the office. He came back from the next room with a big bag in tow, "These are the season’s clothes for Yanyan and Yueyue, as well as for Stone and Taifeng."

"Is it already time for season-changing clothes?" Luo Qiao asked.

"Yes, workshop three started making season-changing clothes before the new year. This way, the transition can be seamless, and other workshops can focus on the orders."

Luo Qiao nodded in agreement, "That’s a good arrangement. When workshop three isn’t busy, they can make the sample clothes for the next season, and they can serve as a backup during busy times to alleviate the pressure of other workshops’ orders."

"That’s all thanks to your blessing. The clothes that come out of here never fail to sell."

"Don’t become too dependent on my designs, though. You should recruit a batch of designers soon. As long as someone is interested and talented in design, even if it means the factory has to sponsor her advanced studies, it can be done. But, make sure there’s a contract in place. We can’t be training someone for ages only to have her pave the way for another factory."

Talking as they went, they arrived at the workshop where everyone was busily engaged in their tasks in an orderly fashion.

The workshop now operated like an assembly line, which made QA sampling faster and reduced unnecessary complications. If any piece didn’t meet the standard, the responsible individual could be quickly identified through their work process.

After touring the workshop, Luo Qiao planned to visit the newly expanded warehouse. Once outside, she stressed, "Fire prevention is of utmost importance. See if we can buy some firefighting equipment and build at least two water outlets near the warehouse, just in case."

"Okay, I’ll start arranging that and make sure it’s done promptly," Lu Ningzhou agreed.

As they were heading towards the warehouse, Luo Qiao suddenly stopped in her tracks upon noticing a woman in a factory uniform sneaking out of the opposite warehouse, clearly stuffing something under her clothes.

Lu Ningzhou noticed her too, and his eyebrows knitted in concern. The person wasn’t just anyone; she was his elder aunt.

Luo Qiao followed the woman to the back door of the factory, watching as she used her keys to open it and passed the hidden objects to someone outside.

Not caring who she was, Luo Qiao broke into a sprint, leaped over the wall, and kicked the person outside, sending him tumbling into the woman inside.

Both cried out, and hearing the commotion, security rushed over.

Luo Qiao ordered the staff to detain the two and brought them to an adjacent storage room. Once the woman came to her senses and realized what was happening, she began to cause a ruckus, shouting, "Who do you think you are to interfere with my business? I’m the factory manager’s elder auntie."

Luo Qiao looked at Lu Ningzhou, "Do you know her?"

At that moment, the woman also spotted Lu Ningzhou standing aside and exclaimed, "Ningzhou, you better teach this woman a lesson. No, who is this woman, and why the hell is she here? You know her, right? You better not be doing something that would betray my sister."
