Upon entering the courtyard, greeting neighbors along the way, he immediately smelled something appetizing: "Qiao Bao, what delicious food did you make today? I could smell it from the gate."

Luo Qiao was dishing out rice: "Didn’t you say you wanted to eat cumin ribs? I made them especially for you today. Are you happy?"

Lu Yichen’s face lit up with a smile. He came over and gave Luo Qiao a kiss on the cheek and then hugged her, "Happy, thank you, Qiao Bao."

Luo Qiao, still holding a bowl and spoon, looked up and kissed Lu Yichen’s chin in return, "Then later, could you wash the bed sheets and quilt covers from the courtyard for me? Is that okay?"

Lu Yichen playfully pinched Luo Qiao’s nose, "At your service. Oh, the little dog you wanted will be brought to you in a few days."

Luo Qiao smiled, "Is it Little Jun’s dog?"

Lu Yichen took over the task from Luo Qiao’s hands: "Yes, it’s the offspring of a retired military dog, definitely a purebred shepherd."
