Chapter 595: Chapter 595 Deal

Lu Yichen had already called that friend before he left, and by the time they arrived, the family was waiting for them in the house.

After Lu Yichen came in and greeted everyone, he introduced, "This is my partner, Luo Qiao."

He then turned to Luo Qiao and said, "This is my friend Wang Jianming; that’s his wife, Cao Momo; and those two little ones over there are their children."

After the pleasantries, Lu Yichen said to Wang Jianming and his wife, "I have to go back to work this afternoon, so please show my partner around the house. If she likes it, you two can discuss it."

Then he turned to Luo Qiao and said, "Qiaoqiao, take a look at the house first, and I’ll call you later."

Luo Qiao smiled and replied, "Okay, go ahead with your work. I’ll take a look and then head back on my own later. Don’t worry about me; go on, don’t let it affect your job."

Lu Yichen was reluctant to leave, but he had a lot of work waiting for him, so he added, "The house has a phone installed. Call me when you leave."

Cao Momo joked, "With us here, what could you be worried about? You think we’re going to pack her up and take her away?"

Having said that, the couple started laughing, and even the two children playing joined in the laughter.

Lu Yichen had thick skin and wasn’t the least bit embarrassed by Cao Momo’s teasing. His only concern was that Luo Qiao might feel uncomfortable, so he said, "Well then, I’ll be off."

After Lu Yichen had left, Cao Momo said to Luo Qiao, "Is it okay if I call you Qiaoqiao?"

Luo Qiao nodded and smiled, "Of course, you can."

They toured the first floor, which included a large living room, two bedrooms, and a storage room. The second floor had four bedrooms, all of decent sizes, with two featuring en-suite bathrooms.

The rooftop had a large open-air terrace, and in the center was a room similar to a sunroom, with four sides of large windows fitted with big panes of glass. There were even a few pots of flowers and plants on the edge of the terrace—this family certainly knew how to enjoy life.

But in her heart, Luo Qiao thought that for them to maintain such a nice house in such good condition showed they must be capable people.

After they came down from the rooftop, Cao Momo mentioned, "There’s also a plot of land out back; it used to be a garden. After the flowers were gone, we started growing vegetables."

Luo Qiao followed her around and thought that the house was truly excellent. There was convenient transportation nearby and comprehensive amenities, including local elementary, middle, and high schools—all top schools in Capital City.

Therefore, Luo Qiao happily expressed that she really liked the house; Cao Momo spoke up, "Actually, we really can’t bear to part with this house; it holds many of our beautiful memories.

Both my children were born here. But we’re moving abroad to settle down, and I fear that if we leave it vacant, it will go to waste. We are reluctant to rent it out, it can be troublesome, and if we encounter someone who doesn’t take care of it, that would be even more upsetting."

Luo Qiao said with a smile, "Then entrust it to me with peace of mind. I will cherish this place and gradually restore the back garden to its glory, bursting with flowers. I’ll make both elements complement each other and the yard even more elegant."

Cao Momo’s eyes suddenly reddened, "I’m afraid I won’t get to see it."

At that, Luo Qiao remembered that she had promised Tiong Qingfeng to send photos once the house was refurbished, something she had almost forgotten. It seemed she would need to get the photos developed again and send them out soon—not keeping a promise wasn’t good.

Luo Qiao said, "Don’t worry, leave me your address, and I’ll send you the photos to alleviate the pain of longing."

After hearing Luo Qiao, Cao Momo instantly smiled again, "Good, good, thank you so much, really."

Soon, the two parties agreed on a price—1.3 million. Originally, Wang Jianming and his wife had thought about selling for 1.5 million, but Cao Momo really liked Luo Qiao and, considering Luo Qiao was Lu Yichen’s partner and the promise of future photos, they settled on that price.

Luo Qiao and they agreed to come over the next day for the transfer and handover, preparing to leave.

Cao Momo suggested, "You should still call Lu Yichen first. That guy is probably feeling anxious by now."

Just as she finished speaking, the phone rang, and Wang Jianming and his wife exchanged a look, their eyes full of mirth.
