They walked a short distance forward and found the place they were looking for. Luo Qiao ordered soy milk and fried dough twists, Stone wanted egg soup and steamed buns, and Lu Yichen opted for stir-fried liver and sesame seed cakes.

After the three of them sat down, Lu Yichen looked at Luo Qiao, "Shall we first go back to grandpa and grandma’s, or to the Mechanical Factory Residential Compound?"

Upon hearing his question, Luo Qiao glanced at him indifferently and said, "Let’s go to my grandparents’ first."

With a smile in his eyes, Lu Yichen softly said, "Tomorrow I’ll bring Stone to take care of the school transfer procedures first, then he can go straight to report when school starts. Do you want to come with us?"

Luo Qiao looked at Stone and said, "Okay, let Stone stay with me before the New Year. You still have work in the next few days, and I’ll take him to get familiar with Capital City first. We’ll move there when school is about to start."

Lu Yichen didn’t object and nodded, "That’s fine, after finishing the procedures tomorrow, I’ll take you guys to visit my grandfather first, to get to know the people and recognize the place."

Just then, a jeep pulled up to the curb. Luo Qiao got out of the car with Stone, and Lu Yichen, after getting out of the driver’s seat, started moving things from the trunk.

Someone said, "Auntie Luo, that girl must be your Qiaoqiao, right?"

Zhou Guifang, walking over, said, "Indeed, that’s our Qiaoqiao."

Luo Qiao turned her head and saw the approaching group, "Grandma, I’m back."

In the brief moment she turned her head, several boxes had appeared on the ground. She quickly asked Lu Yichen, "What are these?"

Lu Yichen replied, "I asked someone to get some beef and mutton, and some seafood as well. Since it’s cold now, they should keep just fine."

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhou Guifang approached and said, "Is that you, Comrade Lu? How did you guys run into each other?"

Luo Qiao didn’t answer but instead said, "Grandma, let’s move the stuff back home first."

Only then did Zhou Guifang notice the pile of things on the ground and said, "Why did you bring so much stuff?"

Luo Qiao suggested, "These things are quite heavy. How about we borrow Uncle Sun’s tricycle?"

Standing there, Sun Ming heard Luo Qiao’s suggestion and said, "You guys wait a sec, I’ll go get the cart."

The few people chatting stopped and all stood up, looking over towards the jeep, "Luo Qiao, what good things did you bring back for your grandma this time?"

Luo Qiao greeted them with a smile, "Hello, aunties, madams, and sirs. Since the New Year is coming up, I’ve brought back some special goods."

Sun Ming rolled out his tricycle, and Lu Yichen quickly walked over to take the cart, loaded the items onto it, then locked the jeep and pushed the cart back.

Zhou Guifang greeted the people while following them back.

When returning the cart, Luo Qiao specifically took out a small packet of tea leaves, "Uncle Sun, here’s your tricycle back. I heard from grandpa that you also enjoy a good cup of tea, so this is for you to try."

Sun Ming laughed, "How can I accept this?"

Luo Qiao replied, "Keep it. You’ve helped grandpa and grandma a lot, so it’s only right for me to offer you a pot of tea."
