Chapter 298: Chapter 298 It’s Not Alarmist

Luo Haotian said coldly, "I don’t care for what reason your daughter wants to hurt mine, but you relay this message to her, ’Only this once, if there’s a next time I’ll make her know what insufferable pain is.’

Of course, if you, as parents, can’t control your own daughter and let her hurt others in the pursuit of her own freedom, then you will bear the corresponding responsibility. I will use every means to make you lose everything.

Remember, what I’m saying is not an empty threat. Luo Haotian keeps his word. Hasn’t she learned over the past decade what consequences her capriciousness can bring to others?"

Luo Haotian’s words made the Yan Family husband and wife both feel embarrassed. They knew all too well that if Luo Qiao had not been clever, things could have turned out really bad. Fortunately, the world had changed, and just thinking about it made them shudder.

The very reason Luo Haotian made this trip was that after investigating, he knew that this couple, especially Yan Jiajia’s father, was a decent person. That’s why he made a personal visit to give them a warning, to let them rein in their daughter.

However, there would definitely be punishments. Otherwise, they would think that the cost of making a mistake was too low. How else would they learn their lesson?

After coming out with his son, Luo Haotian did not directly go to Jiang Shan’s home but first went to a post office to make a phone call. He arranged to meet with someone at an agreed location outside before hanging up.

By noon, Luo Haotian and Luo Siyuan were already waiting at the school gate. After having lunch at a state-run restaurant not far from the school with Luo Qiao, they were ready to leave.

Luo Qiao, touched by all they had done for her, took them back home first. She planned to take some vegetables for them, having prepared some mushroom sauce and chili sauce, but had no cans and had to use ceramic jars instead.

After picking lots of vegetables from the backyard, Luo Haotian initially didn’t want to take them, but seeing his daughter’s earnest preparation, he didn’t want to dampen her good spirits.

Luo Qiao then directly shouldered a back basket. While the vegetables in other people’s gardens were likely withering by this season, Luo Qiao’s backyard was still lush and green.

Upon seeing Luo Qiao’s backyard, an astonished Luo Siyuan exclaimed, "Qiaoqiao, how come the vegetables in your garden still look so fresh?"

Luo Qiao smiled and said, "The vegetables in my garden were planted several months late. Maybe it’s because the courtyard wall provides shelter and it’s not too cold, so they’re growing well for now, but I’m afraid they won’t last much longer."

Luo Haotian, looking at the full back basket of vegetables prepared by his daughter, laughed and said, "Now we don’t have to buy vegetables for two weeks."

Luo Qiao responded, "My vegetables taste better than the ones sold outside. Save some for Grandpa and Grandma and send it to them. If they like it, I’ll send more over."

Besides the back basket, they also filled a sack. Once everything was ready, Luo Qiao left the house with them and watched as they drove away before turning to walk toward the school.

Unexpectedly, at the gate, she bumped into the witless Song Wenbin. Both were taken aback. Luo Qiao simply nodded and went inside but was stopped by Song Wenbin.

Luo Qiao turned around and asked, "Teacher Song, is there something you need?"

Song Wenbin said, "It’s nothing much, just that I wanted to apologize to you in person. I was a bit too excessive that day, and I hope you can forgive me."

Luo Qiao smiled and said, "It’s been so long since that incident; I’ve almost forgotten about it. But I would still like to say, not everyone turns out to be how you think they will be. I hope that in the future, Teacher Song, you won’t judge others based on your own views and hurt them."

After saying this, Luo Qiao glanced at Song Wenbin, who seemed to acknowledge her point, and then she said, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going."

Song Wenbin watched Luo Qiao walk away. He realized he had been too rash that day, and after his parents found out, they lectured him for a long time. He hadn’t had the chance to join his cousin and the others to apologize because of being busy.

He just returned to school today. He had taken a month off because of Sister Fangfang’s situation, and only found out yesterday that Luo Qiao was now also attending First City High School.

His mother always said that he was bewitched, heeding everything Lv Fangfang said. They all had told him Sister Fangfang was duplicitous, knowing clearly that cousin Qiao Yu didn’t like her, yet she still used him to get closer.
