It was something that would become an inherited honorable task among the household of three; but at this time, everyone else did not know about it yet.

"Then, I shall gladly accept since it’s Your Majesty who invited me," Alvis smiled.

Riley sighed in relief since Alvis had apparently been brooding for a whole and only lightened up when Dimo arrived and was all worried about Alwin.

Alvis would not have left Alwin’s side if Great Elder Reginald did not visit and say the Overseer was asking why Alvis had not returned yet.

Now, Alvis was finally smiling and agreed to leave Alwin’s side without such reason.

Arabella then headed to the dining hall with Alvis and Dimo. Meanwhile, Riley took the chance to take care of Alwin.

The meal was quite fun with the two of them.

Especially with Alvis’ facial expressions of doubt, surprise, and delight as they ate. Even Dimo was entertained and forgot about his worries about Alwin.

Arabella learned that it had been a while since Alvis ate human cuisine so he reacted like a child who was able to eat for the first time.

No, it was the first time he ate human cuisine since the Great War.

Alvis avoided contact with humans since he lost so many important people due to them. Thus, he had never gone to the human realm after the war was resolved.

He only went here without hesitation this time because of Alwin getting hurt and losing two mana cores.

After their meal, Arabella walked with her Alvis and Dimo in the garden before heading back to the Magic Tower.

She wanted to check on the rescued Prudencians again.

Her assistant and maids were also there helping the ones who were rescued from Crux after the Crux army was defeated at the borders.

She decided to go with Dimo and Alvis to Alwin’s room though as a ;polite gesture to their guest.

Just as they were outside Alwin’s room, the door opened and Princess Seraphina and Emily got out.

"Greetings to Your Imperial Majesty," Princess Seraphina and Emily greeted.

They did not know how to address Alvis so they simply bowed to him as well.

[He looks like His Eminence! Could he be the one my brother and Jacob were talking about?! The godly presence that caused an earthquake in all of Crux when he arrived?! No, he must be!]

Princess Seraphina bowed her head again when he realized Alvis was the person she heard about from the updates she received from her twin.

[Is he His Eminence’s sibling?! Their mana feels somewhat the same but likewise different. What should I say to him? His Eminence is in this state because he used something so important on me.]

Emily bowed much deeper than Princess Seraphina.

[This mana remnants! It’s Alwin’s! So this is the lady he saved? Ah, yes. She is... Alwin lost two mana cores for this human...]

Alvis’ stared at Emily and the latter trembled under his gaze.

[I should say something but his presence is so terrifyingly strong. It’s like I’m in front of a monster even though he is a more mature looking version of His Eminence’s godly beauty.]

Emily gulped nervously and remained bowing, afraid of Alvis.

Arabella knew she had to cut the tense atmosphere so she said, "Please be at ease."

Princess Seraphina and Emily were unsure how to act since Alvis did not say anything and was still looking at them with a frown on his face.

But since Arabella was the Empress, they obeyed and finally stood straight, albeit with their heads still slightly lowered.

"Please go easy on them. They’re also my guests whom Alwin had brought here himself," Arabella said to Alvis.

She understood he was emotional because of Alwin’s state right now, but the way he was behaving was terrifying her guests.

"Ah, right. My apologies, Your Majesty," Alvis took a deep breath to calm himself.

[Yes, Alwin chose to save her. Alwin chose to save her.] Alvis chanted in his mind so he would not blame Emily.

Alvis still did not understand Alwin’s reasoning, or rather did not want to understand or accept it until he was informed about the mana cores Ferdinand used to save him when he was a child.

He glanced at Princess Seraphina instead to stop his blood from boiling just at the sight of the person who cost Alwin two mana cores and the use of a forbidden spell.

"Oh, who’s this? You look exactly like that person I had assigned to watch over the Alwin’s tree," Alvis said when he realized the resemblance.

Princess Seraphina was about to speak but got too nervous and closed her mouth again.

"She is Princess Seraphina of Crux. The person you are referring to must be her older twin brother Prince Sebastian," Arabella clarified.

"Ah, I see. No wonder they look so much alike. Twins are quite rare. What a blessing to have two children in one birth," Alvis nodded his head.

For the long-lived races who never had twins and had lost much of their population, twins was something they would gladly welcome and celebrate.

Yet for Seraphina and Sebastian, they were almost killed because of it and were branded to be unlucky.

"A blessing?" Princess Seraphina blushed and her eyes shone with tears.

This was the first time she heard someone she met for the first time say the birth of twins was a blessing.

[Huh?! Why is she teary-eyed?! Wouldn’t Her Majesty think I was being rude to her guests and making them cry?!]

Alvis glanced at Arabella and quickly said, "That wasn’t my fault."

"Ah, yes," Arabella chuckled. "She’s just happy to hear your words. In Crux, it was considered unlucky to have twins."

"Huh? Why?!" Alvis exclaimed as if he had just heard something crazy. "If all ladies could birth twins, I wouldn’t worry about my people’s dwindling population anymore. If my people had twins all the time, I would worship the Creator with more dedication and fervor."

[I see... He must be the ruler of one of the territories here. He has the air of a king. To think there are places that would love to have twins like us in every birth and still consider it a blessing.]
