a/n: Fixed Chapter
"The knights here have experienced serving the food to the Prudencians last time. Copy their example. You are all bright and determined so I’m sure you’ll do well," Arabella encouraged.
Alwin handed her pairs of gloves and she distributed it to her assistants.
"Wear these gloves so you will not be scalded even if you accidentally spill some of the food. But I hope you can avoid spilling any food as much as possible since the people you will be serving food to have not been able to eat properly. They value every single drop and every single piece," Arabella clarified.
She also handed one each to her maids. They had helped last time so they already knew what to do.
"If you do not know what to do, you can ask my maids. They also helped here last time," Arabella said and her maids smiled.
"Your Majesty will leave?" Narcissa inquired.
"Yes, I’ll be in the first step with Nadia. I’ll be watching over how things go there," Arabella said and her assistants tensed up.
"Y-Your Majesty will be going there?!" Denzel was the one who voiced out their concern.
"Yes. As I’ve said, I had been there before. I will be there as well this time. Once everyone there is safely healed and brought to the second step, I will go to the room before this which is the second step of the process. Once everything is going well there, I’ll come here as well, then to the fourth," Arabella explained.
She would be checking every stage of the process to see how everything is going.
Likewise, Alwin cannot be far from her so she had to be there in the first step. She could simply stay here in the third step but she wanted to see everything for herself.
"Isn’t it dangerous? What if they had predicted the Prudencians would be brought here tonight and they planted spies or assassins. Your Majesty could be in danger," Oscar pointed out.
"Don’t worry. I don’t know how to remove collars and shackles so I will just be staying in one corner," Arabella clarified.
Her assistants were relieved at that.
Meanwhile, her maids and the knights in the room were calm since they knew Arabella had already done this before.
Likewise, Alwin would be there with her.
She was safest with the Master of the Magic Tower who could control everything in this building.
Alwin is akin to the god of this tower. This was his own little world so they had nothing to worry about her safety here since he would know everything that happens in this tower while he is inside it.
However, he would be busy with healing everyone who was rescued so his mana might be depleted if a lot had severe injuries. Thus, staying by his side was safest.
Alwin had learned a lesson from his mana getting depleted in Safiro last time though so he had created his own recovery potions this time, much to Riley’s relief.
"Alright, do your best here. I’ll see you later," Arabella said and left with Nadia and Alwin for the first room.
When they reached the room for the first step, the knights and magicians assigned there were already in their positions ready to heal everyone and remove shackles.
"Greetings to Your Majesty," they all greeted when she entered.
She nodded and gestured for them to be at ease.
Nadia bowed to her and went to join the knights.
Likewise, Arabella went to her position in the front most part of the room where there were three orbs, each showing what was happening in the three following rooms.
Thus, she would still be able to monitor all her assistants and what was happening in all the stages.
"Is everything ready?" Alwin inquired and they all nodded. "Alright, let’s begin then."
{Riley, you may start now,} Alwin contacted Riley telepathically.
{Will start then,} Riley replied.
Everyone in the room remained silent and alert, ready to act.
In a few minutes, one part of the room glowed, meaning someone was teleporting people there.
In just a few seconds since the glow began, Riley came into the room with ten Prudencians with him.
Arabella gulped as she saw the Prudencians. They were indeed injured, gaunt, malnourished, and had bloody, torn, and dirty clothes.
Two were sitting on the ground and barely conscious, especially after the teleportation.
Three had missing parts of their body.
Another three were heavily injured.
The remaining two were also bloody and hurt but they seemed to be doing better and were supporting the two who were sitting on the ground.
"You are safe here now. This is the Magic Tower in Riva. You are already in Valeria," Riley said the Prudencians with him were wide-eyed, unsure if he spoke the truth.
"I’ll be leaving now," Riley said and bowed to her and Alwin before he vanished.
The Prudencians tensed up in panic and looked around warily, and were surprised to find knights in Valeria uniform and people with the same Valerian mark on their clothes.
The magicians moved immediately and used magic spells to heal them.
Alwin got close to those who lost a part of their limbs and regrew their missing body parts.
Nadia and the knights then moved and quickly began removing their shackles and collars.
"W-were free?!!"
Tears welled in the Prudencian’s eyes as they all said repeatedly in a heartfelt cry, "Thank you very much! Thank you very much for helping us!"
The knights and mages simply nodded and distanced themselves once they had done their best so the doctors could check them.
[She was indeed married to the Emperor!]
[She’s the Empress now, isn’t she? Why are they allowing her to be here? Wouldn’t they want to hide a sight like this to her?]
[Is she here in person to monitor this?]
The Prudencians saw Arabella standing at the front with Rendell guarding her and immediately recognized her.
"Thank you very much to Her Imperial Majesty!" They also thanked her.
This was why Arabella originally asked Alwin to make her invisible so they would not see her. She did not want them to waste their energy bowing to her and thanking her.
