"Right," Arabella chuckled, understanding what he meant.

They were alone in her room, the familiar setting where their passion often ignited and burned brightly.

Anything she does here could set him off to naughty mode and all the talk they needed to do would be pushed back for later.

Arabella toyed with the idea of teasing him, but they had pressing matters to address first. It was crucial they discuss Princess Seraphina’s proposal promptly.

Moreover, Ferdinand might need to return to Sibruh immediately after their discussion.

"Shall we discuss it over dinner? I heard you haven’t eaten yet. I told you to eat on time even if I’m not around," Ferdinand chided gently, eyeing her with concern.

"Oh, yes, of course. I was waiting for you so we could eat together!" Arabella responded quickly, trying to placate him.

He was particular about her eating habits. Arabella still hadn’t regained all the weight she’d lost during his long absence last time so he was worried.

"You were waiting for me?" Ferdinand asked with a warm smile.

"Yes," Arabella replied, feeling a pang of guilt as Ferdinand kissed her cheek, believing her explanation.

It was true though that she looked forward to the chance they might be able to share a meal together again. She just did not think it would be feasible tonight, given their busy schedules.

"Let’s go then. I arranged for dinner in the garden. It’s chilly outside, so you should wear this," Ferdinand said, slipping off his coat and draping it around Arabella.

She stretched her arms as he helped her into it, feeling the warmth of his body lingering on the fabric. It felt nice. She missed his warmth dearly.

They walked to the garden, and Arabella was taken aback to find everything set up as if for a romantic date.

The moonlight bathed the garden, casting a soft glow over the flowers. They bloomed vibrantly and did not wilt despite the season since the flower gardens were protected by Ferdinand’s spells for them to keep blooming all year round. All because he knew how much Arabella loved them.

Before escorting her to her seat, Ferdinand presented a bouquet resting on an empty chair. "I picked these earlier," he said.

Arabella admired the flowers, their fragrance already in the air before she even drew them close.

"Thank you. They’re beautiful," she said, genuinely surprised. "Did you really just arrive? When did you have time to arrange all of this?"

If he had not done this before, she wouldn’t believe Ferdinand had managed to pick flowers for her and arrange all this so quickly.

Ferdinand had become so affectionate and thoughtful that she could not even compare their present relationship to how they were in her past life.

"Dinner was already prepared when I arrived. I just asked them to bring it here when I heard you hadn’t eaten yet," Ferdinand said, suddenly becoming shy. "I gave some instructions, but they did all the work."

[She must be stressed with all the work she had to do while I was away, so I just thought of helping her relax here, even if only for a bit. I hope it’s not too redundant since I’ve done this before. Does she still like it or not? I ran out of ideas so this was the only thing I could think of.]

Arabella smiled warmly upon hearing his thoughts.

Despite their hectic schedules, Ferdinand hadn’t forgotten to consider her well-being, arranging all of this even though they might only have a short time together.

Yet, he was still worried it might be lacking or she would not like it.

"Thank you. I love this setup. It’s nice to eat here after work. And most importantly, to have you here with me," Arabella assured him. She affectionately kissed him on the cheek.

Ferdinand’s ears turned red, and he leaned in to kiss her on the lips.

Arabella gulped as his lips lingered and dared to go further as he asked for an opening.

Missing him badly as well, Arabella could not resist him. She opened her mouth and welcomed his invading tongue.

"Mm," Arabella could not help a moan from escaping her throat as their lips locked and their tongues began to dance together in a slow but passionate kiss.

She could feel how much he missed her with how he kissed and held her. She returned the embrace as she too, missed him dearly.

Until... she felt something hard against her belly.

’He’s aroused!’

Arabella’s eyes widened, and she leaned back, gently pushing against Ferdinand’s chest to create some space between them.

It was then that she realized something.

"Oh, my goodness, we’re outside!" Arabella exclaimed, quickly scanning their surroundings.

Relief washed over her as she realized Alfredo and Blanca, who had been there earlier, must have discreetly left when she and Ferdinand started kissing.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to," Ferdinand apologized, rubbing the back of his head, his face flushed with embarrassment.

[I just thought I would kiss her a bit.]

But it had escalated quickly, far beyond the mere peck he originally intended.

[Thankfully we were outside. If we were in her room, I wouldn’t have been able to stop myself.]

Ferdinand took a deep breath as he tried to calm himself.

They had come here to eat, but instead, they had succumbed to a different kind of hunger. Now, both of them were left craving more.

"It’s okay. I didn’t stop you either," Arabella replied, her voice slightly shaky. She gulped as their eyes met, the unspoken desire palpable between them.

However, it was Ferdinand who broke the tension in the air, saying, "Let’s eat before the food gets cold."

He pulled out a chair for her and gestured for Arabella to sit.

"Right," she replied, trying to keep her voice steady. She hoped she did not sound disappointed.

’I’m not at all disappointed. Hmph!’ Arabella stubbornly denied.

But as Ferdinand walked to his seat, she couldn’t help but glance at his crotch and noticed that he had managed to regain his composure.
