Chapter 754: Chapter 754: A New Alliance

"Yes, of course. Rest assured I will only send someone to check," Arabella glanced at Alwin and he nodded.

Alwin telepathically communicated with Riley. {Come and see these and check if there are indeed Prudencians there.}

Riley then entered and awaited instructions.

"Please verify if these locations have Prudencians indeed," Arabella instructed and Riley examined the map.

"Yes, Your Majesty. I will return posthaste," Riley bowed to Arabella and teleported to Crux.

[He went to Crux just like that?!] Princess Seraphina gulped.

Pretending not to notice her guests’ surprise, Arabella smiled and suggested, "Let’s have some refreshments while waiting for his return."

Blanca promptly came forward and served them some snacks.

[It had been a while since we began speaking but the snacks are still warm.]

Princess Seraphina noted that the cookies and tea were kept warm with magic for it to be still warm despite their hours of conversation.

Several minutes later, Riley returned.

"There are indeed Prundencians there, Your Majesty. But it is indeed heavily guarded," Riley confirmed Princess Seraphina’s information.

[Amazing! He’s already back so quickly? It took us a while just to identify these two locations!] Emily and Jacob were astonished.

[Her Majesty’s people are so reliable! No wonder Valeria is so powerful.] Princess Seraphina was awed and shocked at the same time.

"I’m pleased to confirm we can trust the information you provided, Princess," Arabella smiled warmly.

"I appreciate your trust, Your Majesty. Please rest assured, I’ve staked the lives of my people on the truth," Princess Seraphina replied earnestly.

"Yes, I understand. Thank you for allowing us to verify," Arabella acknowledged.

"It was my pleasure, Your Majesty."

With the information verified, their discussion can now proceed further.

"Can you tell me in more detail your plan?" Arabella asked since they needed to know the specifics before making a decision.

Princess Seraphina’s eyes lit up with hope that since Arabella was willing to listen more, she was considering their proposal seriously.

"Yes,Your Majesty," Seraphina replied with a mixture of relief and earnest resolve, her eyes betraying a hint of vulnerability beneath her composed exterior.

With a measured breath, Seraphina recounted their strategy to navigate the delicate political landscape. She spoke of alliances forged in secrecy and of hopes for a better future for her people.

Arabella listened intently, her mind racing with the implications of Seraphina’s vision.

Here was an opportunity not only to safeguard the Prudencians but also to forge a path towards reconciliation and understanding with Crux.

As the afternoon waned and the sun cast golden hues across the room, Arabella found herself considering the complexities and the fragile balance of trust in forming a new alliance.

In Seraphina, she saw a potential ally, someone whose visions for the future matched her own goals.

Arabella knew that getting an ally like Seraphina would benefit her in the long run. Thus, she decided to listen to Seraphina’s words and consider it seriously.

Their discussion eventually turned to matters of mutual interest, touching even on trade routes, cultural exchanges, and the delicate dance of politics in Eliora that affected both their nations.

The night arrived as they continued their discussion, mapping out strategies and exchanging ideas with a newfound sense of collaboration.

Before they knew it, the moon rose in the sky, casting its gentle light upon two leaders bound by a shared vision and a determination to shape the future for the better.

Their discussion took so much longer than planned but it felt worth it.

Unknowingly, in the quiet of the chamber of the Magic Tower, Arabella and Princess Seraphina forged the first threads of an alliance that would challenge the tides of Crux’ history and illuminate a path towards a brighter tomorrow for their people.

As the meeting drew to a close, Arabella felt a glimmer of hope to further change her tragic future amidst the uncertainties.

She had found in Princess Seraphina not just a counterpart in diplomacy, but perhaps a possible friend forged in the fires of mutual respect and shared aspirations.

Once she had listened to everything she needed to know, Arabella nodded thoughtfully. "This has been a valuable meeting. I personally wish to help you as much as I can. However, I cannot make a decision on my own about this. I will speak with His Majesty as soon as I can. We will carefully consider everything you just shared."

Princess Seraphina and her companions’ eyes lit up at Arabella’s words. They knew that getting Arabella’s empathy and desire to help them was already akin to succeeding in this deal since it meant Arabella would convince Ferdinand.

Arabella nodded again, her gaze returning to Seraphina. "We appreciate your trust in sharing this with us. We will deliberate and inform you of our decision soon."

Seraphina bowed respectfully. "Thank you very much, Your Majesty. We await your decision."

With that, the meeting concluded, leaving Arabella with a weighty decision to make, one that could shape the future relations between Valeria and Crux, and potentially bring about significant changes in both kingdoms.

Or, rather, she had made up her mind. She wanted to help them. But she would have to speak with Ferdinand about this first and see what he had in mind once he hears about this.

With a final exchange of nods and pleasantries, they parted ways, each carrying with them the promise of future collaboration and the weight of newfound understanding.

As Arabella watched Seraphina and her companions depart, she couldn’t shake the feeling that this meeting marked the beginning of something significant.

Once they were the only ones in the room, Arabella asked Riley, "Please inform Ferdinand that I need to speak with him as soon as possible."

"Yes, Your Majesty," Riley teleported to Ferdinand’s location.

Arabella took a deep breath and glanced at Alwin who just took a seat. The long meeting was finally over.

"You plan to agree, don’t you?" Alwin asked.

"Yes, the information they have is exactly what we needed. It also seems more beneficial to us to accept her proposal than to reject it," Arabella admitted.
