Chapter 701: Chapter 701: Uncle Pretty

"Really?" Raymart was doubtful.

"Their father told them they could learn magic but they had only seen adult magicians," Clarisse whispered to Arabella in explanation for Raymart’s question.

Raymart was aware since they had been informed that they could also study magic but did not think they could study it now since they were still kids.

[Father did say we can also learn magic. But I thought it would be when we grow up. Are there a lot of kids like us who can learn magic?]

Raymart eyed Dimo with wonder as he thought about his father’s words.

"Yes," Dimo accompanied his reply with a nod.

"Then... Do you see Uncle Pretty a lot?" Raymart said and Dimo tilted his head in confusion.

"Uncle Pretty is ’mazing," Alice added with obvious adoration of whoever that uncle was.

"Uhmm... I’m not sure I know him..." Dimo glanced at Arabella for help.

However, Arabella did not know who they were talking about either so she glanced at Clarisse in turn, "Who’s their Uncle Pretty?"

"Oh, it’s His Eminence. They like calling him that because they were awed by his beauty," Clarisse clarified.

[These kids!!! I already told them to stop calling me that!] Alwin who was nearby but invisible wanted to scold the kids.

"They first saw his face a few months ago because I told them to go to their Father’s office since I was having morning sickness. I did not know His Eminence was there. And Raymond could not drive them off so they saw His Eminence," Clarisse explained.

Alwin’s face was a top secret because he did not want it to be revealed to the masses. It was supposed to be hidden from the kids as well since they might speak about it to others but they ended up showing it to the kids for some reason.

"Raymart and Alice saw His Eminence’s long beautiful hair and thought mistook him for a lady. But even more so when they saw his face," Clarisse said in a low voice.

"Pfft," Arabella hid her face from the kids as she tried to stop her laughter. She could already imagine the face Alwin was making.

{Stop with that pathetic laughter.} Alwin said in an annoyed tone.

Arabella only laughed even more though due to his reaction. She could understand the kids for calling him that since Alwin was indeed a divinely beautiful man. With his gorgeous locks and appearance, he could be easily mistaken as a lady if one was only looking at his face.

"Is that why he had to reveal himself?" Arabella inquired.

"Yes, the two accused Raymond of cheating and threatened him they would tell me about it," Clarisse chuckled as well.

"What? How did they know about what cheating means?" Arabella was quite surprised.

"Raymart got a book in the library without our permission and read it. It was a storybook for children as well but for those a bit older since there were mentions of themes for a bit more mature children. It was there that there was a mention of cheating and he asked the maids and knights about it. When Alice heard him, she also asked him to explain. They were simply told that it was when a married man or woman meets with another alone and that it was a bad thing. Thus, when they thought that their father was meeting another lady alone, they quickly accused him of cheating," Clarisse explained.

"Oh, my goodness. That must have been quite the misunderstanding," Arabella glanced at the kids who were focused on Dimo.

"It was. Raymond was quite shocked and panicked. Since I was quite moody back then, hearing such a thing from my own children would have made me so emotional so Raymond asked His Eminence to reveal his identity so the kids would not misunderstand things," Clarisse expounded.

"I see. That must have been quite a shock indeed," Arabella understood how Raymond might have felt, especially since he never even cheated on Clarisse.

One of Arabella’s greatest fears, when she learned that Fermin was alive and well in Estrella, was if he knew what she had been up to and that she even cheated on Ferdinand. Thankfully, Alwin said that on Ferdinand’s orders, they protected Fermin’s innocence about the matter and maintained his good image of her.

"Yes, I was quite shocked as well when I heard about it. I had to apologize repeatedly to His Eminence on the kids’ behalf and correct them. We also kept asking the kids a lot of questions until we understood how they came to know about such a thing."

Clarrise and Raymond had no choice but to clearly explain to Raymart and Alice what cheating was so that the two would not accuse them or other people of cheating ever again unless they truly thought it was the case.

Since then, Clarisse and Raymond instructed their knights and maids to be more watchful of where Raymart and Alice go even when they were playing hide and seek.

Meanwhile, Dimo who heard that Uncle Pretty was actually Alwin misunderstood that the latter was blood-related to the Prime Minister’s family.

"Master is your uncle?" Dimo asked Raymart and Alice.

[It’s disrespectful to call Master that way. But if they are his niece and nephew, then he must have made exceptions.]

"Eh? Uncle is your Master?" Raymart replied with another question.

"Yes, His Eminence is my master," Dimo spoke with pride this time.

"Wow! I heard Uncle is the most powerful magician. You must be really good with magic," Raymart eyed Dimo with even more curiosity now.

"Can you make flowers like Uncle?" Alice inquired with imploring eyes. She obviously wanted Dimo to conjure one.

[Is this why Master warned me about the things I could do if they asked me to demonstrate?] Dimo wondered.

Alwin had already forbidden Dimo from showing what he was taught at the Magic Tower since both Raymart and Alice had powerful mana.

Since kids are naturally curious and quick learners, the two might try to imitate Dimo.

This could put them and everyone else at risk if they accidentally use magic without knowing how to control it.
