She learned from their thoughts that they decided to a wait-and-see approach and see what Arabella would be like first before sending any of their daughters.

Thus, only four houses who were willing to gamble sent one of their daughters to the Imperial Palace. And that was how Arabella had Renee, Irene, Carla, and Eunice as her maids.

After hearing and seeing for themselves that Arabella had accepted her role as the Empress of Valeria and had accepted Ferdinand, they were finally willing to send their daughters.

Especially since Arabella had treated all her maids and assistants well so far.

Moreover, it was clear from how Ferdinand treated her that he listened to her. It meant that if they tried to get close to her, they would have better chances of raising their household’s social status rather than trying to get close to Ferdinand whom they were sure was nigh impossible of a task after all their failed attempts.

The Head Minister of the Imperial Family’s Public Relations sighed knowing that Ferdinand sucked at maintaining good relationships with the nobles.

"Since there are a lot of matters at hand and everyone is occupied at the moment, I believe we can save it for later when the need arises. I have enough maids for now since just this morning, a new maid began working for me," Arabella announced.

Everyone looked around searching for someone who would look proud since whoever would, was likely the household the new maid was from.

However, no one did. After all, they used a household in Riva that was supposed to have fallen due to having no heirs (but was actually a servant of the former emperor who returned with them to Estrella). Their alibi was that Blanca was kept hidden for her safety until she was of age.

Arabella said what they had planned so that the nobles would not go against it. And likewise, so they would stop sending portraits to Alwin.
