Reborn as a Mind-Reading Empress
Chapter 625: Worried For Nothing

Chapter 625: Chapter 625: Worried For Nothing

That, in itself, was already overwhelming for Arabella.

They already think of her as the Empress when it had been so difficult in the past before people called her that with some sort of respect.

Arabella looked around the vast room and saw familiar faces.

The heads of the most powerful households, from whom seven of her assistants were from, were here. They bowed their heads when they met her gaze.

Arabella then smiled at them and they smiled back.

Hiring assistants from them indeed worked perfectly. Her relationship with them had improved significantly compared to her past life.

Odette and Nadia’s eldest siblings were also here. They bowed their heads so much lower than the others when they met her gaze.

They even had their hands on their chest as if they were knights who were serving her.

Arabella also smiled at them and they looked overwhelmed.

She would love to speak with them later to get updates about Prudencia and Safiro.

[Her Majesty looks so different now compared to the times she visited us.

Back then, she already looked like an angel sent from above to save us from our troubles.

But now, she looks so regal and powerful.]

[Her Majesty must have been gentle last time because all of us looked so weary and barely alive.

To everyone in Safiro, she was the goddess who graced us when we were in the deepest pits of suffering.

She had been so merciful to people like us whom we thought had been forgotten by the gods.

Because of Her Majesty, our people survived and Safiro is once again alive.

She is our savior. We will never forget Her Majesty and His Majesty’s grace and blessings to Safiro.]

Odette and Nadia’s siblings were too grateful because of the seriousness of their situation several months ago.

Arabella already told them that it was Ferdinand they should be grateful for but Ferdinand also kept telling them to be grateful to her instead.

Thankfully, their territories were both recovering smoothly before the cold and dangerous winter.

When Arabella turned to look at the ministers, she saw the five Head Ministers who helped her choose her assistants. They also bowed their heads and smiled back at her when she smiled.

Some books say that they should never smile in court to remain impartial to everyone. However, that was not true at all in her case.

Arabella needed to show that she already the others and was on good terms with them so that the others would feel pressured and try to get along with her.

Because if she doesn’t show that she already has support, they will step on her and bully her. They would not take her voice seriously in case some matters would necessitate her to speak up.

Thus, she needed to go this far and show everyone she already had the support of some of the people here so she would be taken seriously.

It was such a relief that Arabella now had some sort of ties with some of the people here and had even exchanged letters with some of them.

In the worst case that there would be people who would speak against her today, she was sure that aside from Ferdinand, she at least had several more people who would defend her.

With them siding with her, she would have a voice in the court.

That was the cruel truth.

Nothing was fair in this world.

Everything was fair in this world and it took her so long to realize that before she discarded her naive beliefs when she was younger.

After all, despite her efforts so far, she still needed to do more.

Arabella needed to work harder to ensure that Fermin would be treasured and respected by their people not just because he was the son of their emperor but also because his mother was a capable enough empress.

Arabella wanted to lay the foundations before giving birth so she could ensure that there would be fewer attempts on her son’s life nor there would be people who would try to use him selfishly.

Because in this life, she did not want Fermin to experience dying too early again.

’Our Fermin will live long here until he goes to Estrella with us,’ Arabella internally swore an oath to pour everything she had just to ensure that.

"From today onwards, My Empress will be attending court as well," Ferdinand announced and there were murmurs here and there. Especially since he addressed her so possessively instead of addressing her formally.

They were all hesitating to comment loudly until someone finally spoke.

"Your Majesty, is Her Majesty already well enough to be attending court?

We heard she was poisoned in the Medeus.

Perhaps, Her Majesty should take more rest until she fully recovers," one of the ministers said and the others seconded.

’Do they not want me to be here? Does my presence bother them after all, because I am Lobelian?’

Arabella wondered if they were using it as an excuse so she would not attend court because they could not trust her.

After all, it had been months since the time she was poisoned. It was a long enough time for her to recover.

The news that she had already recovered was already all over the empire too.

’I guess it wouldn’t be so easy. After all, my image here is still that of just a pretty but naive princess whose appearance was used to lure sales of Lobelian products.’

Despite her actions so far, this must mean that she indeed needed to show more proof that she was dedicated as Empress of Valeria now and not the young and naive Princess of Lobelius she was once.

However, when she listened to their thoughts, Arabella was surprised that it was entirely different from what she thought.

[They said she had already recovered and had been working in her office. But what if she had not truly recuperated fully yet?]

[His Majesty was not in danger of dying from poison with His Eminence ready to heal and detoxify him. But I heard even His Eminence could not heal it immediately.]
