Chapter 411: Departure from Medeus [Bonus Chapter]

The following day, even after Arabella and Ferdinand were set to depart from Medeus, Zion was not back yet. Thus, they concluded that he might take a few days to return just as Alwin did when he was the one who tailed Lindon all the way to Fynnia.

Ferdinand could not wait that long before they head to Estrella. They had both delayed going all the way for too long ever since he marked her. Thus, both of them were burdened by their desires.

They had survived 99% of the waiting. But now that there was only 1% or even less left, it was as if they would both break if they would not just forget the hell about everything else and just do it.

Last night, they both got into a trance and almost went all the way. The side-effect of the marking remaining incomplete was getting worse.

Or was it because they were simply too pent up?

But they had been satisfying each other almost every night without going all the way.

Or did they simply, unknowingly, let their guard down because the Assembly had ended as promised? They merely needed to go to Estrella, which they could do in a matter of seconds.

However, Raymond did tell Ferdinand that the consummation after the marking was not supposed to be postponed. He said they were probably the first to not consummate immediately after the marking. And their desire for each other would only grow stronger the longer they postponed. And he was right.

Arabella and Ferdinand both feel pain when they long for each other and not get satisfied. But they had been able to bear with it. And they were able to make it go away by satisfying each other every night.

However, it was so much stronger last night as their desires were stronger than ever as well. Especially since they were both looking forward to going all the way very soon.

It was indeed crazy to keep delaying it. They were both dying to be one and yet they kept trying to hold back.

Just because of their promises.

But keeping their word was indeed very important if their relationship was to work.

Yet, last night, they almost broke that promise.

Ferdinand had already positioned himself between her legs and Arabella had shamelessly spread herself open, ready to welcome her husband. But Ferdinand came to his senses just when he was about to push it in.

Arabella who was eager to accept him, also came to her senses when he stopped. She recalled their promise and the fire inside her got doused as she realized they almost broke their word when they only had to wait for just one more day. No, just a few more hours and they would be in Estrella soon. And yet, they almost got carried away.

They both managed to postpone it by satisfying their growing desire by pleasing each other in all sorts of ways until they both calmed down and managed to sleep. No, Arabella slept while her husband went to do some work to tire himself before sleeping beside her.

. . .

And finally, the following day, they were to depart from Medeus. Her husband did not want any more delay in their promised night. Nor does she.

Ferdinand had decided to have Raymond receive Zion’s reports. And in case a decision was needed, Raymond could decide on his own, if it was urgent. If it was not, they could report to him later in Estrella. And he emphasized that only if he had left his room which was where he and Arabella would be spending their official first night.

On the other hand, Alwin was also set to depart for Umbra once they were in Estrella.

As part of formalities, all those who would use teleportation scrolls were to ride their carriage and only activate it once they were outside the gates of Medeus. The same was true for them since they pretended to use teleportation scrolls from the temple to hide the fact that Alwin and Riley can both teleport great distances.

Arabella waved goodbye to those who came to see them off.

Since they were new to the Council, and held such high importance, all the other royals saw them off first. They only departed one after the other once they were out of sight.

. . .

While inside the carriage, Ferdinand looked like he was thinking about something gravely serious. She wanted to ask what it was about but didn’t want to disturb him, so she listened to his thoughts instead.

She face-palmed when he was merely holding back from transferring to the empty space beside her, or else, he would have not been able to behave.

’Why does he have such an expression on his face when he’s just holding back from sitting beside me?’

Having Ferdinand beside her was rather comfy. She could use his arm or lap as a pillow during the whole ride. Or she could sit on his lap, settle her head on his chest, and read a book during the whole ride.

[Just a bit more. I can wait for just a bit more.] Ferdinand chanted in his mind with clenched fists. He avoided looking at her and looked out the window instead. As if he was very much interested in the scenery outside. But she knew, he never was.

She understood why he had such a serious expression from trying to hold back when she heard his following thoughts.

[Damn these urges! I never had these before. Did everyone feel this way too? How were they able to put up with it? I feel like I’m going to go mad if I don’t touch her. I had been able to hold back before. But now, being in this small carriage with her is making me crazy. It is filled with her addictive scent so it’s like she’s all around me. All I need now is to really feel her soft warmth and hold her tight in my arms.] Ferdinand’s thoughts wandered.

The carriage was not small though. But to a ginormous dragon, of course, it would seem small.

Arabella’s carriage could fit six or more people inside if they were her size. And it was pulled by four horses.

Ferdinand’s carriage was even bigger. It could fit ten or more people inside and was pulled by eight horses. However, it was always empty since he rode with her all the time.
