Chapter 384: Dinner First

"Are you sure you are not angry with me?" Ferdinand inquired.

She thought he would be angry at her since even though it was unintentional, she ignored him for an hour.

And yet, here he was asking if she was angry at him instead.

[It did cross my mind.

For her not to notice me at all, I had to wonder if I unknowingly did something that made her angry, so she was ignoring me.

Like how she didn’t even want to talk to me when I made her jealous last time.]

’He did think I was doing it intentionally,’ Arabella internally cried.

"I’m not.

Why would I be angry?

I swear, I was just focused on work.

I didn’t mean to ignore you like that," Arabella tried to convince him.

"So, you simply did not notice me this whole time?" he asked, and Arabella flinched.

It was the truth.

But it sounded so cruel now that she was hearing it.

"Y-yes," she felt so bad about it.

Ferdinand always recognized her presence and usually welcomed her with a smile when she was the one going to his study.

[So, she truly did not notice me.

I’m glad she’s not angry.

But it’s also depressing that she wasn’t eager to see me at all.

Just sensing her presence getting stronger as I get close to this mansion makes me want to see her face as soon as possible.

Yet, I was here the whole time, and she did not notice.

"I’m truly sorry," Arabella acted all cute to get his forgiveness.

I know we saw each other this morning but I still miss you so much.

I want to be by your side all the time.

These days, I think I’m going to go crazy if I do not return to your side as soon as I can.

You don’t understand just how much I yearn for you.

Even with other people around, I still lose my mind."

Ferdinand thought about having to hide a boner repeatedly the past few days since he kept craving for her like crazy.

Even just seeing her smile could trigger him and had to do his best to calm down.

"Of course, I miss you a lot too," Arabella buried her face in his chest.

"Really?

I want to be this close all time," Ferdinand finally wrapped his arms around her in a tight embrace.

"Of course, I want to be with you like this all the time too.

I was just holding back.

I was distracting myself with work since lately, I’m becoming a bit too lustful.

I might grab you if I don’t distract myself," Arabella admitted.

She told him honestly that there were times she suddenly wanted to kiss and hold him even in front of everyone.

And there were times she also got distracted by his scent and his presence and got turned on even when there were other people around.

She knew it was due to the side effects of the marking.

But it still made her feel so embarrassed since there were times, she felt so hot and bothered that she might just grab Ferdinand if she was not careful.

"Is that true?!" Ferdinand asked with a glint in his eyes.

"Yes," Arabella felt the heat rise to her face.

She knew she turned red at the sight of an elated smile on her husband’s face.

He gets so happy about all the weird things.

"You’re so adorable," Ferdinand gave her a peck on the forehead before going for lips.

His lips were not as gentle as they were on her forehead.

He kissed her hungrily.

[To think she was also holding back.

I thought I was imagining the times I got a whiff of her arousal when we were outdoors.

’He could smell that too even though I was dressed with several layers of clothing?!’ Arabella gasped.

So soon, she found herself pushed against the wall as Ferdinand fiercely kissed her.

Can I just do her right here, right now?] Ferdinand thought and Arabella realized she had to stop him.

"Ferdinand, we are in my study," Arabella pushed him away gently when he began kissing her neck and grabbing her behind.

Ferdinand had already made Alwin cast a barrier to prevent the sound from inside from getting heard outside.

It gets activated once Ferdinand enters her study.

But Arabella still didn’t like the idea of having their first time right here.

"Ferdinand, just three days more.

We have been holding back all this time.

Just three days more and we will go all the way to Estrella, right?"

Arabella reminded him since her husband clearly didn’t like it when she pushed him away.

He was the one who wanted to keep his word, so she didn’t want him to break it now when he had been doing his best to hold back all this time.

"R-right.

I’m so sorry.

I lost my mind for a bit," Ferdinand closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

[What was I thinking?

That wasn’t why I stopped her from working.]

"Dinner.

I stopped you from working so we could have dinner," he explained once he opened his eyes.

"Yes, of course.

Shall we eat dinner then?

Or I can help you with that," Arabella glanced down at his boner that was still there.

She was suggesting she could help him calm down first.

Ferdinand gulped and Arabella squealed when he suddenly scooped her up.

"Dinner.

Let’s have dinner first.

I won’t let you off easily tonight," Ferdinand said with determination.

[I’m not sure I would be willing to stop for dinner once her mouth is on me.

We must eat first so there would be no disturbances.

I don’t want her to starve because of my damned lust either.]
