Chapter 372: I Will Choose You Over and Over Again
"I’m so happy to hear you say all these.
I feel so warm inside right now," Ferdinand wrapped her in his arms.
[She does love me now.]
A smile arched his lips and brightened his eyes.
"Of course.
Didn’t I say, you are mine?
I wouldn’t say that if I didn’t feel anything," Arabella reiterated.
It was kind of embarrassing to keep saying it aloud.
But with Ferdinand who’s likely to misunderstand things from all the overthinking he does, it was better to tell him again and again.
"Yes. I’m all yours," he kissed her forehead.
"So, don’t stress yourself too much, okay?
I know you’d rather keep your guard up.
But King Icarus never even confessed to me.
I think he is also respecting my marriage with you.
And even if he does convey his feelings for me, I want you to know now that I will refuse him.
As I have said before, I already chose you."
Arabella wanted to reiterate this too.
That no matter what, she had already chosen Ferdinand over anyone else.
"Ferdinand, please believe in me a bit.
Trust my words and feelings for you.
I have promised to live with you in Estrella.
Thus, I will ensure to cultivate my feelings for you more and more.
And even in the case my heart still gets shaken, I will still choose you over and over again no matter what happens.
Because I already promised you," Arabella assured him.
She wanted Ferdinand to trust her too.
She had promised even to herself that she would be with him in this life.
And she was set on keeping her word.
With all her memories of her past life and what she had done before, she cannot turn her back on Ferdinand.
At first, it may have only been out of guilt and due to a sense of responsibility to correct her wrongs.
But this time, she realized her feelings were already too deep to simply let him go.
Even if she feels bad for Icarus due to what happened in the past, she will keep choosing Ferdinand this time, because he was already that important to her.
She fell for Ferdinand again just like in her previous life.
But this time, she will do her best not to make the same mistakes again.
And Alwin was there to remind and correct her in case she strays from the path she had chosen.
[I am already this important to her?!]
Ferdinand was touched and embraced her even tighter.
"Thank you.
Thank you very much, Arabella.
I believe in you.
And I will do my best to be a better version of myself and treat you as best I can.
I will cherish my whole life, so you won’t regret choosing me," Ferdinand promised.
"I look forward to it then. But don’t overdo it, okay," Arabella beamed.
It was so nice to be able to converse like this.
"Yes. I’m sorry if it seemed like I didn’t trust you.
It wasn’t that I couldn’t trust you.
I am simply fearful and weak that I had to hear those words directly from your lips before I felt better."
Ferdinand apologized for constantly feeling insecure and jealous of almost everyone who approached her.
"You are not weak.
You are fearful because that’s how we are when we know we treasure something.
We fear losing what’s important to us.
I understand because I have my doubts and fears too.
So don’t go intentionally letting someone get their hands all over you just to make me jealous, okay?" she remembered Carmella.
Ferdinand tensed and she chuckled.
"Yes. I won’t do that ever again," Ferdinand promised.
They arrived at the mansion with both of them feeling so much better.
Their carriage ride felt shorter than usual.
Since that day, Ferdinand wasn’t that bothered with her speaking to other men unless they said or did something that provoked him to drive them away.
Her words and feelings finally reached him, and he understood.

Alwin reported that Renee went to see off the Zygos delegates as well. She hid among the crowd and realized Fatima did not get poisoned.
Renee was frustrated that it failed due to the rain.
But thankfully, she did not try to do anything again and just watched the carriage go.
Arabella heard from Renee’s thoughts that she felt it was such a waste that her opportunity passed.
But Renee was also relieved since poisoning Fatima was something she thought of on the spot when her mysterious helper suddenly appeared.
Renee rather looked so much better than she did the past few days once Chester and Fatima were finally out of her reach in the meantime.
Arabella realized that Renee wasn’t truly prepared to kill someone yet.
She only acted because she thought that was her only chance to be able to do something.
But now that Chester and Fatima had both left, Renee was set on doing her usual routine as a maid while thinking of an excuse to tell her adoptive parents.
Thankfully, seeing Alwin every day helped distract Renee from having hateful and murderous thoughts.
She gradually returned to her usual self the more days that passed.
The end of the Assembly drew near too and the Council members voted on their next Representative.
Arabella’s father won by majority vote.
The members of the Council wanted to use her father to be able to get Valeria to join the Council which was why they voted on him.
The other candidate was the King of Loranne.
But Loranne shared borders with Valeria and there had been issues between them in the past.
Thus, they chose Arabella’s father instead since he had a higher chance of getting Valeria to join the Council.
They did not know that before the Council ends, Ferdinand planned to announce that he had decided to join.
It was because he was still so pissed at those who tried to assassinate Arabella just to prevent him from joining the Council.
He decided to join the Council just to piss them off by doing exactly what they were trying to prevent.
