Her husband said she could touch as she pleased. Thus, Arabella truly did as she pleased and kept touching Ferdinand here and there out of curiosity.

[Amazing. I know my lord himself made protective barriers around her but my lord’s body is still emitting so much mana even if he is holding in most of it. But touching him is different. Normal humans would have turned to dust if they tried touching a primordial dragon like this. But she’s not affected at all. Her body and her mana are very much receptive to my lord’s. It’s as if she’s not even affected by it. I didn’t get to see this in my past life, but is this perhaps why she is his mate?] Alwin wondered.

’Why didn’t they give me a warning then?! What if I turned to dust?! I’m just a normal human!’ Arabella wanted to complain after learning she could have died.

But it seems she was different because she was Ferdinand’s destined mate chosen by the gods of destiny, love, marriage, and the god of dragons.

’But does that make me not a normal human?’

Arabella had to wonder if something had changed about her when the gods chose her to be Ferdinand’s mate.

Ferdinand gave Arabella some of his mana when she was unconscious and she somehow felt it again the instant they teleported into this room.

No, instead, she was certain she had felt it before too when they had a date in the lake last time or when they went to his secluded mansion.

Arabella just did not know it was his mana. But now, she recognized it after feeling it in her body when he gave her an ample amount. She was unconscious when he gave her some but she recognized the warmth.

She could feel it when she woke up earlier as well and even while they were walking around in the garden.

It was strongest in this room though and it certainly felt stronger when she touched Ferdinand in his dragon form.

"Are you satisfied now?" Ferdinand asked after a while.

"Yes," Arabella beamed. She gasped when Ferdinand shrunk again and this time, his appearance changed to human form.

She blinked repeatedly and glanced back and forth between the Ferdinand in front of her and the Ferdinand seated on the chair.

’Right, he could change to any form he wanted.’

"This is my real body. That was the human body provided by the gods," Ferdinand clarified.

[It’s been so long since the last time I’m in my original body. This feels so liberating. I had been longing to hold her in my arms in this body.]

Arabella glanced at her husband’s face after hearing his thoughts. She felt the heat rise to her face and looked away. Ferdinand looked like he wanted to kiss her but Alwin was right there.

"Would you like to see me fly?" her husband asked instead.

"Yes, I’d love to!"

And it was definitely a yes. Just like the young Dimo, Arabella had been curious about how dragons fly as well.

[Her eyes are sparkling.]

"Alwin, take care of my human body," Ferdinand wrapped an arm around Arabella’s waist.

The next instant, Arabella was teleported back to the balcony of Ferdinand’s room and he was right beside her.

"Watch me," he grinned and Arabella gasped when he leaped and jumped out of the balcony.

"Ferdinand?!" Arabella screamed.

But her worries were for nothing. Her husband changed to his smaller dragon form in mid-air. And he flew all over the island.

"Wow, so beautiful and mighty indeed," Arabella watched in awe as Ferdinand gave her a show. She somehow felt a sense of pride as she watched him fly. Something inside her was saying, ’Yes, that’s my dragon!’

Somehow, she wanted to boast this to the world and let them see him in all his glory. But she knew she couldn’t.

’This is our little secret,’ it also felt nice though to be the only human right now, who was able to witness Ferdinand like this.

"Would you like to ride on my back," Ferdinand flew back to her and asked and Arabella instantly backed away from the railing.

"No. I mean, maybe next time. What if I fell? I can’t fly or anything, you know," she explained so Ferdinand would not misunderstand.

"I won’t let that happen. I will use magic to protect you from the wind as well," Ferdinand encouraged.

Arabella walked back to the railing and glanced at the view below.

It was too high that it was making her a bit dizzy.

She could indeed ride on Ferdinand’s back when he stays in this size but she’s still scared of going so high in the air.

It was thrilling at the same time too that her heart was already beating wildly just at the thought. But she was scared to try.

"Uhm, maybe in a few days. I’ll try to get used to looking down from here so I won’t get dizzy when I ride on your back."

’Didn’t he say last time that he would make a pouch in front of his chest for me?’

But riding on his back did sound more thrilling. It was something for later though.

"Ah, right. My apologies. I completely forgot about that. I got too excited," Ferdinand finally understood her concern.

[Right. I shouldn’t strain her. She just woke up hours ago too.]

Ferdinand morphed into human form again.

"Then, shall we watch the sunset here together?" he offered instead and made a couch for them.

"Yes, that I can do," Arabella easily agreed this time and Ferdinand hugged her.

"I’ve been dying to hold you since earlier," he whispered next to her ear.

"Me too," Arabella wrapped her arms around him as well. She wanted to embrace him in his original body.

This was their first embrace while he was in his original body.

Ferdinand was delighted by her reaction and captured her lips. This was their first kiss while he was in his original body.
