I really liked this novel for its character development and the way it shows how a true dragon should be, with enemies worthy of its power. The interaction with magic and the exploration of the universe in this wonderful novel is also fantastic. The only thing that would be missing, in my opinion, would be a way to differentiate power in a numerical or categorical way, I'm not sure if it does that later on.
I am currently at chapter 380 and it has been just frustrating for some time now. The first ~200 chapters were amazing the worldbuilding was interesting, character relations are detailed and wholesome, the Protagonist isn't outragously overpowered or get's handed everything on a silver platter, all in all a very balanced and a good read. But then more and more he get's to interact with Breta his Goddess "friend" (term used very loosly here) and starts fighting in wars against the Shades. Absolutely boring, he goes from Battlefield to Battlefield without any deeper plot and later mansioning or relevance up until now....just stretching. You can just skip chapter ~250-380 and won't miss anything relevant except that he got stronger. Furthermore the Protagonists Goddess "friend" whom he helped her dozens of times survive in the past 100 chapter ist the most ungrateful, arrogant, obnoxious c*nt character I have red about in a while. She has nothing to contribute to anything except rude remarks and rage bait and If she won't die of a sudden heart attack in the next 30 chapters or a sudden golden threat appears that leads to somewhere else then the Protagonist roaming around aimlessly, I'll drop the novel.
It's a very good read, the powers are explained very well, the fights are very good and the world building is interesting as well. His shift from human mindset to a more dragon like is done very well. Also my favorite thing is that he doesn't have a Supreme Dragon God System that does everything for him, he has to earn his power. I'll give it 4.5 stars because the story could have been done a bit better, with a more "slice of life" approach, but it's definately a hidden gem
