Chen Wenling’s voice broke into tears as she desperately cried, ’President!’

During the struggle earlier, she held back her tears.

It started the moment she walked out of her apartment. She saw two men walking behind her, but didn’t give it much thought.

They intercepted as soon her as she reached a secluded corner.

"What are you doing?" she inquired, unease clear in her tone.

She knew exactly who they were. The neighborhood’s most notorious rapists enjoyed substantial backing from her landlord.

"Nothing," one of them answered, letting his eyes wander over her with a lecherous gaze.

Her body shook faintly. A sudden premonition made her want to flee, but with her short legs, she couldn’t run fast enough.

’Shoot!’ She swore internally; ’I should’ve paid more attention in PE class,’ she reflected when they caught her.

"There, there. No need to run away from us," the dark-haired man slurred as he sniffed her.

She recoiled in fear. She couldn’t figure out what they needed, nor was she willing to believe she would be their next victim.

Her voice shook as she asked, ’What do you guys want?’ realizing that she was unable to handle them alone.

"You have done little, but you definitely gave us a tough time with your ridiculous antics," snarled the one with the obviously dyed bright red hair.

She swallowed hard in fear. She knew exactly what they meant. They repeatedly tried to sleep with her, but she always evaded them; that might explain why they attacked her together. Today certainly wasn’t her day.

She stepped backward and warned, "Whatever you guys are planning, it’s illegal. The law forbids it."

Whenever they failed to pay attention, she decided to run again because it was the only thing she could think of. She won’t consider coming back to this area.

"But we are the rule here. The police follow our lead, so tell her brother," the one with dark hair sneered as her heart grew numb.

’I should have listened to Gao Yang yesterday,’ she thought. ’If I had, I probably wouldn’t be in this situation.’ When she saw them closing in on her, her first instinct was to run—a natural reaction in such situations.

Without hesitation, she ran more swiftly than she ever had previously.

The expressions of the two thugs twisted as they chased after her. They needed to capture her at all costs because she posed a serious threat to their pride.

Despite her shouts during the chase, individuals outside overlooked her perfectly. Who dares offend the syndicate over someone so insignificant like her?

With a derisive laugh, she eyed the individuals who entirely overlooked her existence. Though she tried to pick up the pace, her lack of regular exercise caused her to slow, allowing them to catch her swiftly.

The two brothers dragged her into a deserted alley, and despite her desperate struggle, the difference in strength between a man and a woman became clear.

"Let me..." As soon as she spoke, the redhead clasped his large palms over her mouth, muting her words.

The man with dark hair ripped her clothes but didn’t fully strip them off and was close to assaulting her when Xin Yan arrived.

"President, if they had succeeded in their plans for me, I am unsure of what I would have done; I might have ended my life," Chen Wenling cried as Xin Yan comforted her.

They were currently inside Chen Wenling’s apartment. Xin Yan’s gaze turned icy as she stared at the two men bound in ropes.

What brought about this result?

With a loud ’Stop!’, Xin Yan startled the two men, making them wonder who had the courage to confront them.

They glanced at Xin Yan and her sheer beauty left them speechless, causing them to instantly release Chen Wenling.

At Xin Yan’s subtle glance, the chauffeur promptly walked over and placed his coat on Chen Wenling.

He let out a soft sigh. She kept shaking, clearly leaving her devastated and traumatized.

"You don’t need to know who I am. I just want to find out why you wish to harm the poor girl." The two men recoiled in fear under Xin Yan’s terrifying glare.

They instantly frowned while questioning how a petite female could be so terrifying.

"Hey!" the dark-haired man shouted at her, pointing his fingers towards her.

"You don’t understand the situation, so stay out of it. You seem like a delicate lady; it’s better for you to go back home and drink tea." As soon as he stopped talking, his counterpart erupted in laughter.

Xin Yan cast a frosty glance in their direction. After Yuan Renshu and Jiang Lanfen, she probably hated the way society treated ladies with disdain the most.

"I knew it—you’ll be thrilled to hear your mom and sister were brutally raped," she taunted, watching their expressions morph as predicted.

They appeared to still possess some traces of humanity.

Taking advantage of their mild distraction, Xin Yan moved slowly and quietly towards them.

The chauffeur had the urge to shout, but he held back. He let his boss manage the situation.

Given their preoccupied glances, Xin Yan could sneak up behind them. They gave serious thought to Xin Yan’s words. What happens if someone actually rapes their mom or sister? They felt regret for joining the gang for the first time.

Xin Yan showed no interest in their guilt and swiftly kicked both of them in the knees, forcing them to the floor.

’Monitor them; I’m sure we’ll find a rope close by,’ she asked of the driver.

"How often have you done this?" she questioned with a chill in her voice, leading to them to pull back.

The two men looked at each other, clearly considering whether to tell her.

"Tell me!" she demanded, causing them to shiver instantly.

’We’ve lost count!’ retorted the redhead instantly, her mood darkening as she scowled frostily at the guilty pair.

"Hand them over at the police headquarters; it’s no use relying on local cops who’re bogged down, leading to rampant crime in this area." Xin Yan instructed.

With astonished expressions, the two men gazed at her and then lowered their heads reverently. Their opinions no longer mattered.
