Tang Jun tightened his hands around the bar with red eyes.

’Tang Mo, you dared to do this, I should have killed you with your family, this is my mistake,’ Tang Jun had an earnest look in his eyes as he thought about it. He should have really ended little Tang Mo if he knew that he would come back to bite back at him.

Tang Mo finally dropped Shi Liran off at home. Shi Liran requested for him to come in, but he declined. He could not find himself entering the house, especially when he is aware that he doesn’t belong there.

Before he left, he requested for Shi Liran to give him his family’s graves’ location.

Shi Liran stared at him for a while, before giving in. In her thoughts, she felt that he had the right to know about it.

He thanked her profusely before leaving. As Shi Liran watched the car leave, she hoped that he was going to find peace.

It was not easy finding out that the people you considered parents were not really your parents, and it turns out the man you considered your father was the one who killed your real parents.

"Mom, what are you doing? Why were you speaking with Tang Mo? He is the enemy here. When is my father coming back? He was arrested, are you supporting Tang Mo?"

As soon as Shi Liran stepped into the living room of their mansion, she was bombarded with questions courtesy from Tang Mei.

Shi Liran cast a disgusted look towards her, and she shrunk back immediately. She had to admit, she feared her stepmother. She had always been strict with her.

"What are you doing in this house?" Shi Liran asked the girl who swallowed in fear.

"Why can’t I be here? This is my father’s house," Tang Mei replied with a haughty look, having found her voice as she looked down at her stepmother.

"Last I checked, your father disowned you for your unruly actions, I don’t think you have any rights to the house, you are not a member of the Tang’s anymore," Shi Liran folded her arms, still looking at the girl who decided to get on her nerves.

This was another result of her husband’s escapades.

Tang Mei had an awkward look on her face. How was she to explain that she only came to the house because she realized her father was not home? She dared not show up if her father was still in this house.

"Regardless of him disowning me, I am still his only daughter, I still have the Tang’s surname attached to my name, mother, why are you on the side of the enemy? Your husband and son are at the station, aren’t you bothered?" Tang Mei imitated Shi Liran’s actions by folding her arms.

Shi Liran sighed tiredly. She would rather not deal with Tang Mei, it was useless. So with this thought in mind, she tried to walk past Tang Mei who decided to block her path. She would not allow her go without getting a reasonable answer.

"Hold on a moment, Mother, you cannot leave without answering my questions, why are you with Tang Mo? You should be looking for ways to bail your husband and son, since you returned, you have not visited Tang Jingsheng, is this fair to brother?" Tang Mei accused her fiercely.

Shi Liran raised her head as she gave her a sharp glare. Tang Mei’s heart felt stifled as her blood ran cold. She could not hold her gaze against Shi Liran.

"Do you think your father and brother should be released when they are the wrong ones here?" Shi Liran tilted her head as she asked the question. She could not understand what was in Tang Mei’s head.

Tang Mei remained quiet, not daring to reply to the question. She thought about it, her father and brother were both rapists, and one thing she hated were rapists. This was because of her encounter with them.

Her hands were clenched by her side. She hated rapists, and she was meant to be happy that those rapists were going to get their retribution. But it was her father and brother involved, she could not help but have mixed feelings.

"I thought as much, Tang Mei, you are a lady, do you know what those women who were raped faced? Trust me, it is not a good feeling, speaking from experience, and do not ask me how it happened," Shi Liran stated.

"I know you will do the right thing, and leave Tang Mo to do his thing," Shi Liran patted Tang Mei’s shoulders, before leaving for her room, leaving Tang Mei rooted in the center of the big leaving room.

’Mother is right, but she said she is speaking from experience, did she also get raped?’ Tang Mei asked herself as she took a seat feeling numb. The issues in the family were enough to keep her thinking.

’If that is the case, does that mean mother and I have the same story? Perhaps, this is the reason she wants them in jail, she hates rapists because she has experienced such,’ Tang Mei analyzed with a frown on her face.

’Tang Mei, stay out of this matter, I should tell Wu Tang that I want to see my son, it has been a long time since I have seen him,’ at the thought of her son, a genuine smile blossomed on her face.

Two days later, it was time for Tang Jun’s and Tang Jingsheng’s proceedings.

Tang Mo looked at his reflection in a mirror as he fixed his suit. Zhou Mian came into his room as she leaned on the door. She was admiring him.

He noticed her from the mirror, and the tense look in his eyes softened as he beckoned for her to come in.

"How do I look?" He asked as his hands snaked around his waist, pulling her to him immediately.

She let out a gasp as she raised her head to look at him, feeling speechless. She was able to see him up close, and she had to admit, he was looking very handsome.

"I asked a question, Miss Mian, I will be needing your answer," he whispered which sent jolts of sensations to her.

As if she were controlled, she replied without blinking, "you are looking very dashing."

A smug smile appeared on his face as he tucked a stray strand of her hair behind her neck, "you are not looking bad yourself, you are beautiful," he complimented her.

"Don’t play too much, we have to be at court soon," Zhou Mian tried to struggle out of his grasp, but he was not willing to let her go — yet.

She fixed her gaze on him, and he could only let her go reluctantly.

"Do you think everything will settle today?" Zhou Mian asked as she fixed her hair.

Tang Mo had a profound countenance as he shook his head.

"Tang Jun will not go down without a fight, but we will take care of his crimes step by step, even if he isn’t convicted of rape, which isn’t possible, he is still going to go to jail, he is a murderer," Tang Mo’s eyes flashed with a cold light.
