Chapter 141: Chapter 141: Bonus Chapter (Unedited Chapter)

Grandpa Xin nodded, clearly pleased with such news.

"That is good, it is our company by the way, they were the one who used our company’s funds to build the company, yet the company is not managed properly by them, they had it coming,"

Grandma Xin smiled widely, showcasing her pearly white teeth which was too white for an old lady of her age.

While the Xins were celebrating, Li Qiang was busy in his office, trying to solve a case of theft.

"How the hell did such a huge sum of money get stolen?" Li Qiang thundered, his loud voice causing the people present in the room to shudder heavily.

He had just arrived in the company, and decided he was going to check the funds. He did not want to do so at first, but something led to him checking it out.

He would never have imagined the large sum of money missing from the accounts.

He had never been one to joke with money and accounts, thus, the missing money caused him to suck in a cold breath.

Despite the fact that his family was the richest in the country, and were highly respected, he always wanted to be accountable for little things, and now, he was not aware of how the money got missing, or rather, stolen.

"I believe I asked a question," this time around, his voice was calmer, and it sounded neutral, but only they knew that it was just a farce.

Once Li Qiang sounded that way, everyone knew what it meant. Danger!

And the first thing on their minds was to run, but they could not.

It was as though Li Qiang would have anticipated their actions as the door was locked, and the remote was with him

"President, we really have no idea as to how the money got stolen, my team and I have always been proficient in tallying the account, we are just as surprised as you are," the head of the financial team spoke up once the pressure was too much for them to bear.

Gao Yang stood behind Li Qiang. In cases such as this, he never interfered, and as he was behind Li Qiang, only he knew the sort of aura he exuded currently.

Li Qiang’s aura affected him the most, but he did not speak up. He could only hold up, and wished the culprit would confess.

"You expect me to believe such an excuse? You must be mistaken if you have such thoughts," Li Qiang waved off his reply as an excuse.

All the members of the finance department had awkward looks on their faces, they had clearly just said the truth, but it has just been dismissed as an excuse. They did not know how they were going to prove themselves now.

Li Qiang fixed his gaze on every member, and they lowered their heads immediately.

"I am giving you two minutes to figure out what happened, or all of you are dismissed, and before leaving, you all will fork out the money stolen, I do not care how you want to do it, if not, the police would be involved," Li Qiang gave his judgement, and they all exchanged glances.

Discussion broke out amongst themselves as they tried to fish out the culprit. Li Qiang was not bothered by the murmurs, he knew the culprit would confess.

After all, no one wanted to go to jail. And if the culprit remained adamant on remaining silent, he had his own ways, which he always tried his best not to resort to as it could be deadly.

"Two minutes up, Gao Yang, call the police, they should be given the highest degree of torture, I believe everyone should suffer for one person’s crimes, it is just so exciting," Li Qiang chuckled darkly as he instructed Gao Yang who was more than willing to listen to him.

"Wait!" A yell from the back prompted Gao Yang to drop his phone almost immediately.

"Do not call the police, I would confess," it was a lanky youth who stepped forward. He had dirty brown hair, and Li Qiang frowned. He did not recall hiring such a person.

He was the one who always conducted the interviews. This was because he was aware of the fact that his rivals would want to send spies to his company under the guise of being an employee.

He had always been cautious, and would not hire anyone he found suspicious. He would only hire them once hus doubts had been cleared.

As for the youth with dirty brown hair, he was completely clueless as to when he hired him. He searched through his memories for a clue, but it was all blank, and mind you, Li Qiang was blessed with a photographic memory.

"I was the one who stole the money," he confessed, and everyone behind gasped loudly.

But surprisingly, the next question from Li Qiang was not what they expected.

"Who are you?" Li Qiang questioned with a frown.

Everyone was taken aback, Gao Yang and the lanky youth inclusive..

"I asked a question, who are you, and who was the one who hired you?" Li Qiang was beginning to get annoyed and impatient by his lack of response.

"My name is He Wen, I was hired by the HR manager," he quickly responded, for fear of annoying him.

"When were you hired?" Li Qiang continued to question.

The youth had an awkward look on his face. It seems his employment was a farce, and the people from his team were beginning to look at him with strange eyes, causing him to feel uncomfortable.

"Two weeks ago," he answered with his eyes closed.

"Get the HR manager," Li Qiang swiftly instructed, and Gao Yang left the office immediately. Thankfully, the office was spacious, and it allowed him to move easily.

Ten minutes later, the HR manager was brought into the room, panting.

He was about to have lunch when Gao Yang barged into his office, claiming that Li Qiang wanted to see him.

He was surprised as he tried to fish out information from Gao Yang who was tight-lipped.

He felt vexed, and with each step to Li Qiang’s office, his heart raced and tightened in fear.

The HR manager was surprised to find a lot of people present in Li Qiang’s office, and that only helped to solidify the fear in his heart.

"Greetings President Li," he greeted, secretly wiping the sweat off his forehead.

"Manager Feng, what was the rule I gave to you when I employed you?" Li Qiang asked, as he played with teg pen in his hands, not bothering to look at the fat middle-aged man, who looked unkempt, which was annoying to the sight.

Manager Feng racked through his brain as he tried to remember, but he could not.

It has been a long time since Li Qiang had employed him, and he had forgotten most of the rules Li Qiang had mentioned to him.

Author: If you had known, you should have just jotted it as you have just made a big mistake.

"I cannot remember," Manager Feng shook his head, and Gao Yang was tempted to laugh.

The fat man just dug his own grave by uttering those words. Those three words were one of the most detested words in Li Qiang’s dictionary.

"I thought as much," Li Qiang nodded his head softly, before raising his head to glare at him, causing him to move back in fear.

"Let me remind you, on the 12th of July, 2015, you had just been newly employed, I had not taken charge of the company then, but my grandfather had asked me to do your interview," Li Qiang paused, and he was pleased as everyone paid rapt attention to him.

"After the interview had been concluded, I had said something to you after finalizing your employment, should I continue or do you remember now?" Li Qiang was honestly in no mood to continue with the discussion, he just wanted the manager to say those words himself.

It would not be fun if he had to say everything himself, it was no fun at all!

"I recall, you had said that, I could handle the interviews only after sending the applicant’s résumé to you, and could only be hired once you have given the go-ahead,

But once you had taken over the company, you would take charge of the interviews yourself in order to ease my workload," Manager Feng seemed to have understood what had happened.

"Did you agree or not?" Li Qiang asked, and the manager nodded.

"Words, I need words," Li Qiang was simmering in rage. He had hired someone who stole from him, meaning he had hired a thief, consequently, he was also a thief.

"I did," he found it difficult to respond because he knew he was in the wrong.

"Then what is the issue with this youth? I agree that I was not in the office when you had hired him, but what happened to sending his résumé to me?" Li Qiang’s voice was beginning to be loud.

"You had basically hired a thief who stole from me and the company," Li Qiang’s words were like a fuse which sparked as the manager moved back in fear and surprise, gazing at the youth who could not meet his gaze.
