Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Wu Tang

"You do not experience cramps?" He asked with a confused look. He would never have expected it to be this way.

"I do not," she replied, as a smile blossomed on her face. She was elated to see him have such a reaction. To her, he was charming, and his reaction was unexpected, and natural which made him adorable.

"I thought all ladies experienced cramps," he spoke in a lowered voice. He seemed to have realized his blunder.

"Not all ladies, but the majority of the ladies experience it," she explained to him.

"Then what do you experience?" He asked with folded arms, he was interested in this issue.

"Mood swings," she replied with a bashful smile.

"Mood swings?" He repeated after her, his brows furrowed deeply, as he stared at her for more explanation.

"It means, I could be happy right now, and the next moment, I could be sad, I could exhibit various emotions in a minute," she explained with a lowered voice.

Other ladies might think this was better than experiencing cramps, but she would rather get cramps, than have mood swings.

She had to be careful when dealing with people because she might end up snapping at them. In all, her mood swings could actually cause damage to relationships.

"Why was I not aware of this during that year?" Li Qiang asked, he was referring to the year of their accident.

"Because I always hid it," she replied.

She wanted to say more, but she was distracted by the doorbell. There was someone at the door.

"I will go check it," she said, and he nodded.

Xin Yan walked to the door, she opened it, revealing an unfamiliar man.

She grimaced as she did not recognize the man standing in front of her. He looked to be Li Qiang’s age, and he was also handsome.

"Who are you?" Xin Yan questioned, breaking the staring competition.

"Hi, I am your neighbor, I live in that building," the stranger pointed to the building close to theirs.

Xin Yan nodded, it was the building which they were renovating.

"How may I help you?" She asked. For some reason, she felt the aura emanating from him was enough to scare one. She was on edge around him.

"You do not need to be scared of me, my name is Wu Tang," he introduced himself to her.

Xin Yan was still holding the door’s handle as she looked at him. She felt the name was familiar, and at the same time, very unfamiliar.

"Xin Yan," she also introduced herself, even if it was something she would rather not do.

She was brought up to be respectful, despite not liking the other party. She could not change, and he had not done anything which could make her hostile towards him.

"This is a little gift from me to you and your husband, I saw the both of you driving in, so I thought to send a gift to you both," Wu Tang explained as he thrust a package into her free hand.

Li Qiang felt like Xin Yan was taking too long, so he decided to see for himself. He felt she should not stress since she was on her period, rather, she needed maximum rest.

Thus, he walked to the door. He was surprised to find her talking with a stranger, a gift package in her hands, but he noticed one little factor.

He would have missed it if he were not observant when it came to matters which concerned her. She was on guard against the stranger.

This means the stranger scared her. He pursed his lips slightly before coming to stand behind her.

"Shh, relax, I am here," he whispered to her before turning to look at the stranger with a smile which didn’t reach his eyes.

"Hi, what brings you here?" He asked coolly, his hands in his pocket as he observed the stranger.

He also got the strange feeling from him, and he narrowed his eyes at him.

"I am Wu Tang, I am your neighbor, I saw you both driving in, so I decided to greet you both, after all, we will be neighbors for a very long time," Wu Tang had a friendly demeanor, regardless of the hostility he got from the couple.

"Is that so? Welcome to Springs Estate, I hope you enjoy your stay here," Li Qiang greeted without any emotional attachment.

"Thank you, I hope you enjoyed what I have for you both, I still have a lot of work to do," Wu Tang spoke up, bade them goodbye, before leaving.

Xin Yan had a stiff smile throughout, and once he was gone, the smile left her lips.

"He seems fishy," Li Qiang spoke up, and she turned to look at him, eyes widened with his words.

"Do you also feel that way? I was on guard throughout, that was until you showed up," she replied to him, her head was lowered as she was deep in thought.

"I will investigate him, I have never heard of any big family bearing ’Wu’, I just can’t shake off this feeling," Li Qiang placed his hand on his chin, he was worried.

His instincts told him the man bearing ’Wu Tang’ was up to no good, and his instincts were never wrong.

But he was worried. He would rather not rely on his instincts only. If he were the only one, he would do what was on his mind without caring about the consequences.

But now, he has kids, and a lovely wife. He would rather not dabble in things which might cause him loss, his family was the most important thing.

"Do not bother about such things, leave it to me, besides, the tea would get cold, do not worry about experiencing cramps, just remember that tea helps in warming the uterus," he diverted her attention from the stranger.

He was not willing to have her think of someone else, a man at that. Yes, he was jealous, but he also did not want her to be worried.

Meanwhile, Wu Tang walked back to his house with a smile on his face.

"Boss, why did you decide to show your face to them?" His subordinate asked.

Wu Tang laughed as he took his seat, "you will not understand what I am planning to do, you just need to know that the plans are already in place," he replied to his subordinate with a loud cackle.
