Chapter 505 - Chapter 505 Chapter 505 Swine Friends and Dog Companions

Chapter 505: Chapter 505 Swine Friends and Dog Companions Chapter 505: Chapter 505 Swine Friends and Dog Companions After leaving the Chen Residence, Butcher Yu went to Qinger Building and found several girls enjoying themselves.

A thug hurried in and told him he saw Auntie Sun come out of the Chen Residence with silver in hand, looking like she was about to flee.

This thug, also one of Butcher Yu’s cronies, was very familiar with Auntie Sun’s situation. He knew that Butcher Yu treated her as a cash cow and definitely wouldn’t want to let her get away. Just now, he overheard a few other thugs discussing this matter, so he quickly came up to claim credit, saying it was he who saw it himself.

Auntie Sun planning to flee?

How could that be allowed? She was his cash cow, how could he let her slip away!

The moment Butcher Yu heard this, he became anxious. Not even caring for the beauties in his arms, he pushed them aside and rushed out of Qinger Building to intercept Auntie Sun. And here he was, having just waited for a moment, when he saw her running this way in a fluster.

“You…you… why are you here?” Auntie Sun, in her despair, was somewhat incredulous. How did this demon know she was trying to escape?

Butcher Yu sneered proudly, “I have my ways around here. Dream on if you think you can escape from me. Go back obediently and see your clients, otherwise, watch out as I might sell you to the slave market, where you’ll wish you were dead.”

Auntie Sun’s face turned ashen; she deflated completely.

The little hope that had just ignited was extinguished again. The feeling was indescribable, truly unbearable – it was utter despair with no glimmer of hope for life.

After dealing with Auntie Sun, he personally saw to it that she was captured by Butcher Yu and taken back to continue seeing clients.

Big Bull and Xuexue then returned to the market together. Their ox-cart was still parked to the side; the carriage driver was poking his head around, scanning the streets non-stop, probably looking for them.

“Miss, big brother, you’re back?” As soon as the carriage driver saw them, he let out a sigh of relief. With such a large load of goods on his cart and the owners having disappeared, he had been terrified.

“We just ran into an acquaintance and stopped to chat for a bit,” Xuexue lied without even blinking an eye.

Big Bull nodded in agreement, “Yeah! We saw an old friend we haven’t seen in years and almost forgot our stuff was still here. Lucky for us, this brother here is honest and didn’t take our goods away.”

The carriage driver chuckled, “How could that be! We are all honest folks here. I’ve been in business in this town for several years, integrity is still something I have. Rest assured.”

Xuexue: “Hehe…! We really met a good person today.”

“You flatter me too much, Miss.” Being praised by such a stunning young lady made the carriage driver’s cheeks flush with embarrassment.

“Wife, enough jesting, let’s get on the cart,” Big Bull climbed into the cart and then reached down to pull Xuexue up.

Once everything was ready, the ox-cart started moving and headed towards Mo Family Village.

They had only just returned to the village when Old Lady Mo, hearing they had bought a cartload of stuff, came sniffing around.

At the entrance of Xie Residence, the ox-cart had only stopped for a short while, and Big Bull and Xuexue were moving the goods from the cart into the house.

Old Lady Mo came bustling over; she had heard from Madam Ruan that Xuexue had bought a cartload of things and so she came over to grab some benefit for herself. Conveniently, she was planning to visit Hengjian at the Academy in a few days and thought of picking up some nice things for her grandson – how perfect, she could even save on silver.

“Hehe…! Xuexue, Grandma heard you bought quite a few nice things,” Old Lady Mo grinned greedily even before speaking, her calculating eyes eagerly scanning the ox-cart.

Xuexue gave her a glance, thinking to herself that the old woman must have a dog’s nose, nothing happening at their house could escape her notice.

“Grandma, we are out of grains at home; these are all for our sustenance. Would you really have the heart to take these as well?” Xuexue’s tone was quite cold.
