Rebirth of the Villainous Female Boss -
Chapter 1580 - 1552 A Life of Misfortune
Chapter 1580: Chapter 1552 A Life of Misfortune
The judge, after being rebuked by Kiara, naturally didn’t dare to speak again.
This sort of gamble is not one that the average person could afford; lives were at stake at the drop of a hat.
So Kiara calmly took a paper and pen and started to write, while Thomas Norris furiously scribbled on his own.
Less than two minutes had passed, and Kiara seemed to have finished. She slammed the paper onto the table and settled back leisurely in her seat, even waving for the Fox Cat to bring over her insulated barrel.
Sipping leisurely on soup, she gave off the impression that, had someone served her a few big pork knuckles, she would have been able to eat them on the spot as well.
Meanwhile, the man on the other end seemed to be writing something far more complex, and time ticked by as Kiara sipped her soup and glanced at her watch.
Camden must be about done by now, right?
She was thinking this when she heard a reaction from the other side.
"I’m done."
The screen began to switch views to show what both of them had written, Kiara’s and Thomas Norris’s answers side by side; on the left was a detailed treatment plan, and on the right, just one sentence.
The treatment plan was textbook-perfect, detailing the causes of abnormal psychology stemming from the fear of death, the potential physical ailments it could lead to, and how to treat them. There was much written, clearly the work of a top authority.
One could say Thomas Norris’s work was flawless; if this had been an exam, he should have scored 101 on a scale of 100, with one extra mark for pride—his writing was that good.
Being able to elaborate on such a simple issue in such detail truly proved his worth as Boss JR.
However, Kiara’s writing was no small jest.
It was just one line that seemed as if she was causing trouble on purpose. The content was especially playful, far from the gravitas of a life-or-death contest, bordering on humorous.
Her words were: "Sleep with the most outstanding Camden Yuno, open the coolest Workshop, raise the cutest Kid, bully Dad in CK. No solution to this question, only sincerity prevails."
The last few words could barely pass as soulful advice, but they were far from the standard answer, and the tongue-twister before that...
It made one want to look up at the sky and howl in despair; seriously, this was a life-or-death bet, could you not be a bit more serious?
Even her opponent twitched at his lips after seeing it.
"Does your master Yuzo Joel mean so little to you in your heart... that you’re not even going to compete, just giving up outright?"
What a total mess!
And especially that CK, could we not mention it?
CK has been blacklisted for life! The whole world knows it now! Aaah!
"No, not that he’s worthless, but because he’s too precious. So my answer is that there’s no solution to this question. Alright, the judges should make their decision now; you’ve lost."
Kiara was extremely confident.
The judges were also thrown into disarray by Kiara’s divine response, leaving them dumbfounded.
Is this joke not going a bit too far?
Despite Mrs. Kiara being extremely pleased with herself, not seeing any faults in her own behavior, and shamelessly demanding to be declared the winner, the judges were not convinced.
Professionals worldwide watching the broadcast were also dissatisfied.
"Sorry, we believe JR won this round." The judges didn’t even need to discuss, simply pushing forward an announcement of the results.
"What you say doesn’t count." Kiara was even bolder!
Although the opponent’s expression couldn’t be seen, from his action of continually rubbing his temples, the audience could still feel his despair—in such a serious occasion, someone suddenly barged in, spouting tongue twisters and rapping as a joke...
"Ms. Clark, please respect the rules of the competition. According to our judgment, JR’s answer is valid, and yours is—"
"Valid? What does valid mean? To a doctor, ’valid’ isn’t about data on paper, but actual therapeutic effect. For any simple illness, even something as basic as insomnia, do you think Yuzo Joel, the top doctor, would guarantee 100%? There’s hardly ever a 100% in medicine! Of course, if Yuzo Joel, the world’s best, can’t solve it, then Thomas Norris, that son of a gun, is even less competent; he’s not even worthy to carry Yuzo Joel’s shoes."
Cursing publicly... And yet she managed to make her profanity sound so elegant, Mrs. Kiara is truly domineering!
"But we believe—"
"Are you out of your mind? You believe, you believe, everything is what you believe! Have you even reviewed the question? What is this exam about? It’s about Emma Clark’s life-and-death fear! Not about anyone else, not you, not him, nobody else, just me! Only I know what treatment works for me! You, Old Man over there, let me ask you, and you better be honest with yourself! The crap you’ve prescribed, can it cure others, can it cure me? Would Emma Clark be cured by some common treatment? If what you prescribe works for me, would I still be standing here? Would I even care what happens to you?"
The opponent sighed deeply; she really had figured it out.
Why is this kid so smart? Sometimes smart kids are such a headache. Now what do we do if we can’t handle her?
Kiara’s sudden outburst caught all the judges off guard.
"Come on, you faceless old guy CK, tell everyone loudly, can your thing cure me?"
"No..."
"Why not!"
Now Kiara’s aura was overwhelming and aggressive, leaving everyone completely clueless about what was really happening. The "Thomas Norris" who seemed to have secured a win was now being relentlessly interrogated by Kiara, even admitting his treatment plan was ineffective?
Was he conceding defeat?!
"..."
Kiara slammed the table, "Spill the beans!"
"Because you’re stubborn... you don’t follow orders..."
"Bullshit! That’s because I care about you too much! You dumb Old Man! You vanished without saying a word, did you think about how I felt? Do you know how worried I was about you when you were gone?" Kiara was raging one second, the next second tears were falling.
The competition venue suddenly turned into a scene from a mystery drama; despite the presence of so many elite professionals and industry judges, not a single person could explain what the hell was going on.
"Things aren’t what you think..." The other party seemed to want to explain, but Kiara didn’t give him the chance, pointing at his nose and roaring!
"Don’t give me your bullshit reasons, let’s look at the terrible impact you’ve caused. With you out of the picture, my life was sweet. My man adores me, my career and family are flourishing, and my fear of life was gone. But you show up and instantly bring the fear of death with you. I worry every day that you won’t make it, my worried heart is breaking, and you just pull this stunt to avoid me! And you dare to come up with this deceptive treatment plan. You can fool these dumb Judges, but you can fool me? Tell me, touching your conscience, what’s the principle of Psychiatry Department’s treatment for psychological issues?"
"Find the root cause and fill the void of love in the heart."
"Then why the hell are you bothering with nonsense! My Dad has run off, what’s there to treat! You’re the biggest void in my heart, and if you don’t find a way to fill it quickly, you still dare to run? Screw you and the horse you rode in on!"
Kiara pounded the table as she yelled, silencing the whole scene.
