Chapter 1335 - Chapter 1335 Chapter 1307 Name Your Terms

Chapter 1335: Chapter 1307 Name Your Terms Chapter 1335: Chapter 1307 Name Your Terms Zoel Cohen wanted to feed Aka, but she refused. So he sat by her bed with a simple boxed meal, scooping food into his mouth, not looking at all like the rich young billionaire he was.

Aka watched him for a while, thinking about the calls from Dream and Norris. She couldn’t control herself and sent Kiara a stream of text messages.

Zoel really wanted to grab the phone to see who she was texting, wondering if it was that Ryan who was very good at posing, but he remembered Kiara’s words about respecting others, and restrained himself. He almost crossed his eyes trying to figure it out but still couldn’t make sense of it.

After sending the messages to Kiara, Aka felt like a child anxiously waiting for their college entrance exam results. In this long wait, she didn’t know what to do.

“Eat your meal, why aren’t you eating what I bought for you?” Zoel wanted to take this chance to grab her phone, hoping to catch a glimpse of whom she was interacting with, but Aka, preempting this, swiftly stashed the phone under her pillow, cutting off any peeping Toms!

He didn’t get to see, which was a slight disappointment. Zoel had no choice but to settle for second best and pretended to pick up the bowl naturally.

“Considering the inconvenience of you lying down, I’ll reluctantly feed you. Open your mouth!”

“No–I cough, cough!”

Aka choked, coughing several times and turning her face red, which scared Zoel as he hurriedly patted her back.

“For God’s sake, Zoel Cohen! Do you have a grudge against me? Are you holding a grudge to seek revenge now?” Is he trying to choke her to death with porridge?

“I didn’t do it on purpose…”

He truly wanted to feed her well, but Mr. Zoel had hardly ever taken care of anyone, and his technique was just the tiniest bit off.

Mrs. Kiara’s text still hadn’t come, and Aka was getting agitated.

“You should leave.”

“I’ll feed you properly this time, can you not hold a grudge? Is it worth sending someone away just because I didn’t feed you well once? When you painted my car like that in the past, did I say anything? Let’s call it even!”

“I don’t have the strength to argue with you now, nor to play hard to get. Whatever your purpose is for being here, I just can’t play along anymore. Please leave.”

“Play?”

“Yes, what else could it be? You think just because I’m different from the other women you’ve been with, you can come here and tease me? You think you have control over others’ emotions because God has given you advantages, deliberately playing with people’s feelings. To you, hiding things from me, accompanying me to the doctor, buying food, these are all textbook techniques for picking up women, right?”

“That’s not true! I don’t need to go to such lengths to get a woman!”

“Heh, because it wasn’t hard before, now you find it fun, is that it? Zoel Cohen, do you know what you’re doing? First, you belittle me, look down on me, make up various nicknames for me. Isn’t this the first step of pua techniques, undermining my self-confidence? Then, once you’ve successfully caught my attention, you show some kindness, pretending to be a white knight. Do you think that you can just get me like that, as if I were a prize easily won?”

“I, did, not!” Mr. Zoel was at a loss for words. He couldn’t understand why his well-intentioned help had turned out like this. He didn’t expect to win her over by taking care of her just once, but he thought it would at least score him some points.

How could it not score him any points and instead have the opposite effect?

“You’ve used an entire set of pua techniques on me, and following Senior Brother’s advice, I should be playing coy, teasing and refusing you, keeping your appetite hanging–”

“Stay away from that damn Senior Brother! I can tell he’s not a good guy!”

“Haha, starting with the third step of pua already?”

Mr. Zoel was utterly confused–what on earth was pua, and how had it made her so angry?

Aka reacted as if she had been provoked, thinking about how Molly Palmer had stolen her boyfriend.

“First, you undermine his confidence and dignity, then you bestow him with little favors, and proceed to cut off all his ties with other women, making her his entire world and then, he becomes hers. You people always take advantage of being smarter than others, more manipulative, unscrupulously seizing others’ affections. But for a fool like me, everything can be a game except for emotions…”

Zoel Cohen was now the living embodiment of a big, black question mark, still trying to figure out what was going on, when he saw Aka getting more and more upset, almost to the point of crying.

“Don’t cry…” he clumsily attempted to wipe away her tears.

“Get lost! Take your pua and roll as far away as you can!” Aka grabbed his hand and bit down hard, almost bringing herself to tears.

“Are you crazy…” Zoel winced from the bite, intending to stay but upon seeing her so distraught, feared worsening the conflict and had no choice but to stand up.

“Then you just lie down for a while, I’ll wait for you in the parking lot. Once the IV is done, I’ll take you home.”

“Get out! Get out! Get out!”

When the house was left with just one person, Aka closed her eyes.

Why are there so many smart people in the world? She, being so foolish, couldn’t blend into their smart circle.

Molly Palmer was smart, Zoel Cohen was smart, all the brothers at the farmstead were smart, and so was Mrs. Kiara. Oh, right, Mrs. Kiara hadn’t replied to her text message yet.

Molly, you’re right, Aka is dumb, the Aka who can’t use mind games has once again driven away someone dear to her heart. Perhaps she’s destined to be lonely forever.

Kiara had washed up earlier in another room, resting her chin in her hands as she watched him play with their daughter before bedtime.

Camden’s twisted feelings for Mrs. Kiara were clear to see. As someone purely intelligent, she liked to tease him playfully, without malice, stirring him until he lost control. She teased him until he couldn’t help but rush over and fiercely embrace and kiss her.

But today, Mrs. Kiara’s playful mood was disrupted again and again.

Kiara was pondering how to reply to the text message from Aka when Zoel’s phone call came through.

“Emma Clark! What do you want, just tell me!”

“…Sounds like you’re dealing with a tough issue?”

Mr. Zoel, always prideful and reluctant to lose face, now let go of all pretense, speaking wearily.

“As long as you can make her less sad, I’ll give you anything you want.”

“It seems everyone has started treating me like I’m the neighborhood committee auntie, running to me with their issues at the first opportunity…”

Kiara wondered if the saying ‘when in trouble, go to Mrs. Kiara’ had truly become deeply ingrained in the minds of everyone around her.

Camden, listening by her side, gestured across his chest, indicating aunties have much more flesh–saggy flesh is also flesh!

The consequence of being mischievous was getting smacked by Mrs. Kiara with a pillow. Camden pretended to be shot, clattering to the floor. The beautiful lady playing alongside also mimicked the dramatic death pose.

Wendy saw dad and the beautiful lady playing with her one moment, then lying on the floor the next; she covered her mouth with her little hand, pointing at dad and then at the beautiful lady, her surprised little expression adorably cute.
