Chapter 72: Chapter 72: Disrupting Harmony

"Move aside?"

Hearing Ye Fei’s words, Xiao Ge froze completely, his expression tinged with disbelief as he asked, "What... what did you just say?"

"I told you to move aside!" Ye Fei, seeing through Xiao Ge’s hypocrisy, repeated himself without hesitation.

Xiao Ge was now utterly enraged, trembling with fury.

Who did he think he was?

The top scorer of their cohort’s college entrance exams!

The star of the medical school, and the president of the student council!

Destined to be a great man—Xiao Ge!

In ordinary times at school, even teachers treated Xiao Ge with courtesy and respect.

And now this waste of a person, Ye Fei, dared to tell him to move aside?

This was an outright humiliation!

But for some inexplicable reason, Xiao Ge, seething with rage inside, found himself incapable of hurling a single insult at Ye Fei. In fact, as he looked into Ye Fei’s cold, sharp eyes, a feeling he had never experienced before emerged—that feeling was fear!

And so, Xiao Ge could only stare woodenly at Ye Fei, slowly walking past him and out of the library. Throughout the entire process, the library was deathly silent—nobody dared to intervene!

"Xiao... Xiao Ge!"

Wang Cai, momentarily stunned by Ye Fei’s imposing aura, finally snapped out of it and said, "Who does this guy think he is, daring to tell you to move aside like that? Are we really just going to let him walk away?"

"Let him go? Of course not!"

Xiao Ge immediately replied, his face twisted with hatred. "We’re going after him."

Without another word, Xiao Ge stormed off, with Wang Cai trailing right behind him. Seeing this, the others, eager for drama, quickly followed as well.

Before long, Xiao Ge and his group caught up to Ye Fei near a multimedia classroom on the same floor as the library. Spotting Ye Fei’s figure, Xiao Ge let out a cold snort and said, "Just as I thought—this guy is trying to attend Expert Shao’s lecture!"

"Attend the lecture? Can he even understand it?" Wang Cai said disdainfully.

"It doesn’t matter whether he understands or not. We don’t even have to do anything—he’s digging his own grave!" Xiao Ge sneered.

"Digging his own grave? Xiao Ge, I don’t get it." Wang Cai asked, confused.

Xiao Ge pointed toward the end of the corridor, where Shao Bing, Principal Zhang, and Yao Jianshu were slowly coming up the stairs, and said, "Today, Expert Shao is visiting our medical school—it’s a major event for Yuntai University. Now, imagine some clueless student bumps into Expert Shao and the media reporters. What do you think Principal Zhang and Director Yao will do? They’d lose their minds, wouldn’t they?"

Upon hearing this, Wang Cai immediately understood. "Oh, I see! Then this guy is seriously unlucky. If this incident gets reported, it’ll definitely damage the reputation of our school. By then, at best he’ll get a disciplinary warning. At worst, Director Yao could find an excuse to expel him outright—after all, Ye Fei’s application file went right through his hands!"

"Haha, you’ve caught on! Let’s go watch that loser make a fool of himself!"

Grinning maliciously, Xiao Ge strode forward with the others following closely behind.

On Shao Bing’s side, the entourage of accompanying Principal Zhang, Yao Jianshu, and several media reporters had already begun setting up interviews. The sound of camera shutters and flashing lights filled the corridor.

"Mr. Shao, as Yuntai City’s leading medical authority, what prompted you to visit Yuntai University this time?"

"Mr. Shao, does your visit today signify that you recognize the strength of Yuntai University’s medical school?"

"Mr. Shao, ..."

Shao Bing furrowed his brows at the swarm of reporters’ inquiries and said, "I came to share my experiences with students who are about to enter the medical field—there’s no other reason. If I must provide one, I can only say that China’s medical community is full of hidden talents. This visit isn’t solely about the lecture—it’s also an opportunity for me to pay my respects to a certain friend of mine!"

A friend?

The journalists immediately looked puzzled upon hearing this.

Could it be that there was some renowned expert in Yuntai University’s medical school who was a friend of Shao Bing’s?

Little did they know that the "friend" Shao Bing mentioned wasn’t just any friend, but someone he regarded with great reverence—a mentor-like figure of extraordinary skill.

However, before they could press for further details, Shao Bing made it clear he didn’t want to elaborate further. He turned to Yao Jianshu and asked, "Have all the students been notified? If so, we can begin the lecture."

"Yes, Mr. Shao," Yao Jianshu replied enthusiastically. "All the students have been informed. I can assure you, the students of our medical school are the future elite of the medical field. Their performance during your lecture will not disappoint you... Ah!!"

Before Yao Jianshu could finish his sentence, he let out a startled cry, instantly alarming Shao Bing and Principal Zhang.

And for good reason—he had just spotted Ye Fei walking toward them!

Principal Zhang immediately scolded, "Yao Jianshu! Why are you shouting like that?"

"It’s... nothing," Yao Jianshu stammered, quickly wiping sweat from his forehead. "I was just excited by the prospect of Mr. Shao addressing our students."

But internally, his mind was in turmoil.

"Why is it him? What the hell is he doing here, leaving the library? This is bad—really bad!"

"No! This visit from Mr. Shao is my chance to secure the deputy dean position. I can’t let this brat screw things up!"

With this thought, Yao Jianshu hurriedly excused himself and rushed toward Ye Fei, hissing, "Why the hell are you out of the library? Who told you to leave?"

Hearing this, Ye Fei’s gaze turned icy.

He had initially ignored Yao Jianshu in his quest to focus on refining the cultivation method of the Soul-controlling Technique within the library. But now that his work was done, he had no patience left to tolerate this nonsense.

Before Ye Fei could respond, Xiao Ge, who had been waiting for his moment, stepped forward and accused him, "Director Yao, I’m glad you’re here. I told Ye Fei not to come out because it would embarrass our academy if he ran into Expert Shao, but he just wouldn’t listen!"

"Wouldn’t listen?"

Already irate, Yao Jianshu’s temper flared immediately upon hearing Xiao Ge’s claim. He yelled, "Ye Fei! Do you even know your own limits? If Expert Shao happens to ask you a question, do you have any idea how catastrophic that could be? Get back to the library right now! Don’t come out without my explicit permission!"

As he spoke, Yao Jianshu reached out, intending to shove Ye Fei back.

But Ye Fei narrowed his eyes and, with a swift movement, grabbed Yao Jianshu’s wrist tightly, causing him to yelp in pain.

The sound immediately drew the attention of Principal Zhang and the others.

"What on earth is going on here?" Principal Zhang stormed over, visibly furious at the scene.

"P-Princip—Principal," Yao Jianshu stammered, quickly spinning a lie. "This person—he’s not a student here. He’s a thief! I caught him acting suspiciously, but he attacked me when I tried to apprehend him. Principal Zhang, you’d better call the police!"
