Rebirth of the Peak Young Master -
Chapter 317: The Truth
Chapter 317: Chapter 317: The Truth
Some people even started looking at the cave, preparing to leave with the middle-aged man.
Since Yang Tian has taken control, they need to leave quickly, lest the furious Yang Tian implicate them.
However, just as the middle-aged man walked toward the cave’s entrance, his eyes suddenly flashed with red light. Like a streak of lightning, he burst forth with powerful killing intent and rushed toward Yang Tian with a claw strike.
"I’ve been waiting for you!"
Seeing the middle-aged man attacking, Yang Tian chuckled and immediately countered with a reversed grip, summoning a blade. The black crescent moon met the red glow of the man’s claw.
Slash!
Before the crowd’s astonished gaze, the two energies exploded in midair, radiating dazzling light.
"What is this?"
Suddenly, in an instant, there was a burst of suppression, leaving many stunned, unable to react.
The middle-aged man revealed his true feelings, his expression turning cold with a fierce sneer, saying, "I didn’t think from the beginning... you wouldn’t fall for it!"
"Your tricks are simply too pitiful!"
Yang Tian’s expression remained cold and indifferent. Dragging the Demon Sword along the ground, he said faintly, "Hand over the inner core, get out of here, or die!"
ROAR!
Hearing Yang Tian’s words, the two-headed lizard beside the middle-aged man could no longer hold back. They flapped their enormous wings and charged toward Yang Tian, shouting, "Stop talking, Doug Keith! Let me tear him apart!"
As the words fell, the two-headed fire lizard’s massive mouths simultaneously opened wide. Flames began to condense and churn, as the creature roared fiercely at Yang Tian, "Die, insignificant insect!"
"Die? Are you worthy?"
Yang Tian paid no heed to the towering beast that struck fear into other cultivators and instead slowly raised the Demon Sword. His entire body levitated into the air, his expression calm yet commanding like a divine arbiter, declaring, "Black Magic Cut!"
SWOOSH!
A flash of black light streaked through.
Before the lizard could react, it suddenly felt its balance shift and collapsed to the ground. In front of it, one of its gleaming wings had fallen to the ground.
It only took a single strike—Yang Tian had severed the two-headed fire lizard’s wing!
"You mole cricket!" it roared furiously, its voice trembling. "How dare you harm the Great Master! I’ll eat you alive!" The two-headed lizard lunged in rage for another attack.
But clearly, Yang Tian’s assault wasn’t finished.
He raised the Heavenly Blade again and declared, "Dark Devil Second Severance!"
SWOOSH!
Another streak of black light sliced through, severing yet another wing from the two-headed fire lizard.
"Black Magic Third Severance!"
"Black Magic Fourth Severance!"
As Yang Tian’s icy voice rang out, the sword strikes grew faster and faster, completely unlike before.
Prior to this, Yang Tian wielded the black crescent in a deadly yet deliberate way—powerful but not overly swift.
But now, his blade flew mercilessly, unpredictable.
What shocked the surrounding cultivators was that the black streak of light from Yang Tian’s sword was so fast, so overwhelming, that every time it flashed, pieces of the giant two-headed fire lizard crashed to the ground.
When Yang Tian finally lowered his blade and stood upright, the heralded two-headed fire lizard named Aversbanna had been dismembered into a grotesque heap, resembling a disassembled roasted chicken.
Aside from its head and torso, Yang Tian had severed its wings, all four claws, its tail—and its second head.
The only thing it could do now was lie pathetically beside the middle-aged man, whose eyes were brimming with a desperation-filled expression.
"Trash is still trash!"
The middle-aged man cast a merciless glance at what remained of the dismembered fire lizard and sneered disdainfully, facing Yang Tian. "Young man, your strength is fairly impressive among humans. To injure Aversbanna without suffering any wounds shows notable skill—but I can see right through your techniques."
He smirked, his body emanating an increasingly brilliant red light, his fiery hair billowing as he coldly mocked, "Facing me, Doug Keith, there’s only one fate for you—death. You are merely a Fake God, whereas I am the real deal!"
"Fake God’s realm?"
What does that even mean?
The people around, hearing Doug Keith’s assertion, were all confused.
To them, God Level was everything. What was this so-called Fake God state?
Observing their bewildered expressions, Doug Keith chuckled darkly and said, "No wonder you don’t understand the truth of Godhood. Allow the Great Doug Keith to enlighten you about true divinity."
The red glow around Doug Keith intensified.
"The state of Godhood isn’t merely an enhancement of power—it’s a profound comprehension of the heavens and the earth. Only when your perception reaches a certain threshold, forming the true God state, can one be called a genuine deity!"
With these words, Doug Keith’s lips curved into a sinister grin. The red light expanded outward, enveloping the crowd.
Alarmed, everyone instinctively sought to resist.
But to their astonishment, Doug Keith’s light wasn’t an act of aggression—it was a beam of radiance that dyed the entire cave red, without causing harm.
As everyone started to believe the display of the God state had ended, Doug Keith suddenly teased with an ominous gesture of his fingers.
BANG!
A massive eruption of magma shot out around a helpless cultivator.
The surrounding practitioners panicked and rushed to evade, only to find that they were utterly unable to move.
In mere seconds, the blistering magma coiled around their companion, the intense heat reducing the unfortunate victim to nothing more than a charred, burnt corpse—silent and scorched.
HISS!
Those who were nearest to the magma inhaled sharply, their faces contorted in terror as they stared at Doug Keith.
Because they all knew—this was undoubtedly his doing!
"Hahahaha! You insignificant ants! Feel it! This is my realm, the Lava Domain!"
Doug Keith laughed aloud, jeering. "My God Domain is my world! Within my world, your lives and deaths are entirely under my control! If I want you dead, you’ll all die! This is the true power of Divine Power!"
Lava Domain? Complete repression over life and death?
Hearing this, the more daring practitioners felt their resolve crumble.
As for the others, their expressions had undergone intense transformation.
They weren’t gods; they lacked divine abilities. It had never even crossed their minds that such power existed within the realm of God!
But what they saw just moments prior was undeniable.
The speed at which the magma erupted wasn’t particularly fast. Given their reflexes, they could have certainly dodged the attack before being consumed.
Yet the tragic victims were inexplicably immobilized in that crucial moment, rendered incapable of escape, and ultimately burned alive!
The magma seemed to manifest entirely at Doug Keith’s whim—a ceaseless flow born from his thoughts!
What did this signify?
Doug Keith’s words rang true. He indeed possessed the ability to suppress their actions entirely within his Lava Domain. Attacks occurred wherever he willed, without a trace of warning.
When one tried to flee an incoming attack, Doug Keith would instantly suppress their movements, rendering them defenseless and leaving them to perish under his strikes.
"So this... is the genuine realm of Godhood. This is the power of the God Class."
An exceptional practitioner, striving to piece everything together, suddenly murmured in a tone of despair.
The others shared his sentiment.
At this point, thoughts of survival had faded from their minds. A power so absolute and overwhelming had extinguished their very will to aspire.
Yang Tian had demonstrated unparalleled strength before, yet compared to this, such magnificence now seemed utterly helpless.
Observe their expressions.
Doug Keith’s face bore a frigid smile of satisfaction.
He purposefully explained his powers to exploit the leverage of his God Domain and demolish their resolve from within.
Watching despair bloom in others’ eyes, then crushing it himself—that was what Doug Keith delighted in.
Now that the practitioners had plunged into hopelessness, it was time for the final annihilation. Of course, his primary target was none other than Yang Tian, the strongest among them!
Hence, Doug Keith immediately directed his gaze at Yang Tian, sneering arrogant mockery: "Young man, I gave you a chance, and you didn’t cherish it. Now, God has sentenced you to death!"
