Rebirth of the Peak Young Master
Chapter 241: Schadenfreude

Chapter 241: Chapter 241: Schadenfreude

In the end, it was simply because Yang Tian dared to step forward and openly disregard Young Master Fan’s dignity. Fan Benshu wanted Yang Tian to collapse in fear, trembling like a coward after hearing his illustrious background, regretting his boldness!

But now, instead of showing any fear or regret, Yang Tian didn’t even regard Fan Benshu—or even the Fan Family—as worth his attention, something Fan Benshu simply could not tolerate.

Of course, Fan Benshu wasn’t aware that in Yang Tian’s eyes, the Fan Family was nothing more than a trifling existence, unworthy of his notice.

Not to mention Yang Tian’s strength as a Golden Core Stage Cultivator; a provincial powerhouse like the Fan Family was nothing more than a mere ant that could be crushed with a flick of his finger!

Yang Tian himself was also a major power in Su Province. Coupled with his complex identities—such as his connection to Major General Yinglong or China’s strongest Martial King—even if the Fan Family Head were present, he wouldn’t dare speak to Yang Tian as an equal.

Thus, in Yang Tian’s view, a clown like Fan Benshu was simply beneath his notice!

What truly concerned him was the Chunyang Grand Shrine and the Akita Family within it!

"Heh, who would’ve thought the Akita Family contained such a massive and powerful energy source? Although it lacks purity, its size can save me a lot of cultivation effort. This trip seems worth it after all!"

With this thought, Yang Tian paid Fan Benshu no attention whatsoever and began walking toward the Chunyang Grand Shrine.

Fan Benshu, already enraged by Yang Tian’s earlier words, was now fuming as Yang Tian outright ignored him. His face twisted in fury as he snarled, "Well done! Boy, you’ve succeeded in angering me! No one in China has ever dared to provoke me to this extent..."

As he spoke, Fan Benshu reached out, intending to grab Yang Tian.

Chen Wei, seeing that Fan Benshu was about to make a move, jumped in fright.

Thinking that Yang Tian had only offended Fan Benshu to help her out of a difficult situation, she quickly said, "This... this is Japan’s Chunyang Grand Shrine! Any disrespectful actions will draw the attention of Japanese police!"

"Police?"

Hearing this, Fan Benshu glared at Chen Wei angrily. However, realizing that he was not in his family’s home territory of Ann Province but a foreign country, he begrudgingly gave up on teaching Yang Tian a lesson. With a venomous tone, he snarled, "Boy, do you think staying quiet will stop me from finding out who you are? You’ve crossed me! Unless you never return to China for the rest of your life, I’ll make sure you wish you were dead!"

These words caused the surrounding tourists to look on with gloating expressions.

Clearly, Fan Benshu’s proclamation had sealed Yang Tian’s fate should he return to China.

After all, who would dare provoke the young master of a provincial powerhouse family?

With this in mind, the tourists quickly boarded the bus, unwilling to risk being associated with Yang Tian and incurring Fan Benshu’s wrath!

Seeing everyone board the bus, Chen Wei wore an anxious expression. However, seeing Yang Tian’s indifferent demeanor, she could only step forward and say, "Sir... sir, thank you for stepping in on my behalf, but regarding Young Master Fan, I think it’s better for you to apologize!"

"Apologize?"

Hearing Chen Wei’s words, Yang Tian replied flatly, "The Fan Family isn’t qualified to receive my apology! Besides, I came here to find someone; I had no intention of helping you out."

Hearing this, Chen Wei stuck out her tongue, clearly thinking Yang Tian was just being stubborn.

"Alright, fine! I know it’s hard for you to swallow your pride, but I heard the Fan Family is truly powerful in Ann Province. Stop pretending! This is the Chunyang Grand Shrine. Who are you here to find?" Chen Wei asked as she tried to pull Yang Tian back to the bus.

To her, while Yang Tian might be prideful, the moment he stepped forward earlier, he had shown himself to be a real man!

Moreover, Yang Tian exuded an aloof and cold temperament due to his cultivation, setting him apart from ordinary people. His silence along the journey only added to his enigmatic allure.

This type of man was clearly attractive to Chen Wei.

But before she could speak further, Yang Tian’s eyes narrowed slightly as he stared at the entrance of the Chunyang Grand Shrine. "The person I’m looking for has arrived!"

"The person you’re looking for has arrived?"

Hearing this, Chen Wei curiously followed Yang Tian’s gaze toward the entrance.

There, they saw a middle-aged man in a black kimono leading a group of people as they exited the Chunyang Grand Shrine.

As soon as the man spotted Yang Tian, he shouted in Japanese, "Baka! Do you know where you are? How dare you cause a commotion here? Leave immediately, or I’ll have you all thrown out one by one!"

"We... we’re a Chinese tour group..."

Chen Wei, frightened by the man’s ferocity, stammered her explanation. She gave Yang Tian a glance, evidently thinking: This is clearly one of the Chunyang Grand Shrine’s personnel, definitely not the person you’re looking for!

The man sneered contemptuously upon hearing Chen Wei’s words. "So, you’re Chinese? Ha! We don’t welcome Chinese people here. Leave now, and I’ll pretend nothing happened! Otherwise..."

"Is Akita Junko inside?"

Before the man could finish speaking, Yang Tian suddenly asked in Chinese.

The man’s brows furrowed instantly, evidently understanding Yang Tian’s words. He responded in halting Chinese, "Who are you? How do you know Miss Junko’s name?"

"So, this is the place!"

Yang Tian said as he casually placed his hand on one of the pillars supporting the Chunyang Grand Shrine’s name plaque.

Crack!

A crisp sound rang out as Yang Tian’s palm struck the pillar, snapping it clean in half. The shrine’s name plaque came crashing to the ground, shattering into pieces.

Yang Tian raised his voice and shouted, "Miss Junko, after parting ways in China, I, Yang, have come to pay you a visit!"

"Baka!"

Watching the shrine plaque reduced to rubble with a single strike from Yang Tian, the middle-aged man in the kimono flew into a rage.

At his roar, not only did his subordinates behind him react, but the entire Chunyang Grand Shrine seemed to erupt in movement.

From within the shrine, a swarm of men armed with clubs and blades poured out, like a disturbed hornet’s nest.

As for Chen Wei, she was paralyzed with fear at this sight!

She knew underground forces were legal in Japan, and this dark mass of people clearly represented such a force!

What on earth had Yang Tian done!

Just then, out of the corner of her eye, Chen Wei saw Yang Tian smirk coldly. With a casual swing of his hand, a black crescent-shaped energy blade sliced through the air, instantly bisecting the kimono-clad man and his subordinates at the front!

Inside one of the wooden rooms of the Chunyang Grand Shrine.

An emaciated old man sat at the head seat, dozing off.

Kneeling before him were numerous men in black kimonos.

None of them dared to make a sound or exhibit the slightest hint of disrespect.

They all understood that, despite the old man’s sleepy appearance, his half-lidded eyes remained dangerously sharp, as if prepared to strike at any moment.

This man was Akita Shoma, the current head of the Akita Family and Akita Junko’s father.

Kneeling beside Akita Shoma was a man in his mid-years—his younger brother, Akita Shigeru—one of the strongest fighters in the Akita Family and all of Japan.

"It seems Junko has faced some trouble during her visit to China," Akita Shoma suddenly said after an indeterminate period of silence.

"Indeed, Brother," replied Akita Shigeru.
