Chapter 86: Chapter 86 Moon Surface

"Anya, you went too far, using that kind of magic against me..."

Twenty seconds later, Miyali, back to normal, pouted and with her clear, pale golden eyes almost brimming with tears, she looked at the elf girl with a face full of grievance.

"It was you who started it, and then said those... those things... Anyway, we are even now!"

Looking into Miyali’s eyes, Antinoya guiltily averted her gaze and continued walking with forced momentum, but her voice lacked some confidence.

Staring—

Miyali pursed her lips, said nothing, and just silently stared at Antinoya.

"Alright, alright, I get it! When we go back, you can do whatever you want, is that okay now—"

Withstanding Miyali’s resentful gaze for a few steps, Antinoya finally couldn’t resist, her feigned tough demeanor collapsed, and the whole elf’s aura softened immediately.

"You said it, no backsies—"

Miyali looked at Antinoya pitifully,

"I won’t..."

Antinoya seemed to recall something, her face slightly flushed, but she still didn’t change her statement.

"Okay, then I forgive you this time~"

Getting the expected response, Miyali revealed a sunny and radiant adorable smile. She moved forward again, grabbing the girl’s hand happily and headed towards the upper levels of the tower.

"...?"

Walking along, led by Miyali, Antinoya tilted her head in confusion, vaguely sensing something was off, but couldn’t pinpoint what.

...

Soon, the two elves reached the top of the high tower.

The enormous Stargazing Device sat there, made entirely of a dark mirror-metal, shaped like a hemisphere and standing over ten meters tall.

Its main body supported by a metal hexagonal prism densely covered with Magic Circuits, approximately three-quarters the diameter of the hemisphere.

Faint bluish-purple light shimmered within the circuits, adding a mysterious hue to the cold metal.

Six silver-grey mirror surfaces connected to the Stargazing Device, distributed on the six sides of the hexagonal prism.

Since it was not activated yet, the mirror surfaces appeared somewhat dim and unremarkable.

Before the girls arrived, a middle-aged male elf was already present at the top of the tower.

He wore a deep blue long coat with silver trim and a brown hooded traveler’s cloak over it; his deep pale golden eyes intently focused on one of the mirrors.

Hearing the sound of light footsteps, the middle-aged elf glanced towards the door direction briefly.

After seeing the two girls, he immediately returned his gaze to the mirror in front of him.

Miyali and Antinoya curiously glanced at him, but since they were strangers,

the two elf girls briefly examined each other and then moved around one end of the hexagonal prism, choosing a spot next to a space away from the male elf.

Anvis noticed that the male elf also possessed a special aura.

In other words, Claire’s perspective must be focused on him.

However, it is unclear whether she had obtained any special information.

Standing in front of nearly life-sized silver-grey mirrors, Antinoya reached out her delicate fingers and air-tapped lightly.

A ring of transparent ripples spread from her fingertips, causing the mirror surface to ripple at the same frequency, the surface’s dull gray texture faded, revealing the profound black starry sky within.

Glancing at the bottom left of the mirror, marked with a deep blue Rune coordinate of the Star Domain, the girl skillfully adjusted the direction displayed in the mirror.

Countless sparkling stars swiftly slid across the mirror surface, quickly, an image of the Purple Moon the size of an apple appeared in the mirror.

Due to the angle, the phase of the Purple Moon in the mirror was in its waning crescent.

"Antti, why are you so proficient!"

Miyali looked at Antinoya’s skilled operation with a face full of surprise; she rarely came here and was unfamiliar with the control of the Stargazing Device.

"Well, because my father often brought me to observe the Starry Sky using the Stargazing Device. I watched beside him many times, so I also learned how to use it..."

Antinoya raised her hand to brush her hair, her pale and translucent ear tips moved slightly, her face blushed a bit, but her tone carried a hint of pride.

Saying this, the girl moved her fingers, continuously zooming in through the Stargazing Device’s perspective.

The surface of the mirror displayed Amis, gently shimmering, its outline getting increasingly larger and clearer, gradually filling the entire mirror.

The Purple Moon’s ring-shaped mountains reflecting a strange Radiance, the eerily cold flat plains, the unsettling deep purple spires, and the static sea made of dark purple material.

Various unique alien landscapes of a terrain not belonging to Unival, gradually unfolded before the girls’ eyes.

"Antti, where are those strange ruins you mentioned?"

Miyali gazed at the desolate Moon Surface shown in the mirror; a few threads of confusion surfaced in her pale golden eyes as she turned to ask Antinoya.

"Hmm, I actually do not know the exact Moon Surface coordinates of the ruins, the fact that there are Mysterious ruins on Amis’ surface is something I overheard when my father was chatting with Lord Iniel."

Antinoya touched her ear tip somewhat embarrassedly, her glance unintentionally swept across a part of the mirror.

"Hmm, wait, Miyali, I think I found it!"

"Ah? Where?"

"Look, at the tip of the waning crescent, above the largest crater on the upper left side of that mountain range, in this central part of the mountain range—"

Saying this, Antinoya controlled the mirror to continue zooming in, the close-up view of the Moon’s mountain range became clearer, revealing some discordant and strange traces clearly on the mirror.

"Is that... a temple?"

The voice of Miyali unintentionally grew softer, and carried a faint, hard-to-detect confusion and unease.

In the midst of the mountain range, stood several large rugged pillars constructed of pale purple Moon Rock.

Some were in groups of two, leaning and supporting each other. Some were groups of three, the bottom two supporting the horizontally placed pillar on top.

Some of the pillars had already broken and collapsed, turning into protruding piles of rocks dragging along slanted shadows.

The scattered positions of these pillars seemed to have no connection at first glance, but upon closer inspection, they seemed to follow a peculiar Rule.

In the center surrounded by these pillar groups, a bizarre rectangular ancient building sat at the near top of the highest peak.

It too was made of the large pale purple Moon Rocks, and due to the distance, only the building’s top could be seen from the mirror, featuring multiple, overlapping, pyramid-like, oddly complex spires of varying sizes.

Based on its proportion to the surrounding environment, Anvis silently watching could discern the grandness of this building.

Compared to it, the huge surrounding pillars seemed like a bunch of scattered coins around a paper bill.

The bright blinding sunlight shone on the building’s surface, casting a long, dark shadow stretching far away.

In that deep, profound shadow, there seemed to be something inherently repulsive and instinctually avoidable hidden within.

Clearly, these rough and bizarre ancient ruins were not formed naturally.
