Chapter 153: Chapter 153 Leka’s Transformation and the Destiny Artifact

When the King of the Leka Kingdom passed away, the Second Prince, Abel Leka, just happened to be within the Royal Capital.

Half a month earlier, a sudden disturbance had occurred at Silver Mist City, which was near the kingdom’s borders.

The most powerful Eldest Prince led the army to suppress the rebellion and was hundreds of miles away at the time, unable to return immediately.

As a member of the Royal Family with the second strongest influence among his siblings, Abel naturally took charge of the Cuijing Palace.

However, after receiving the news, the Eldest Prince led his troops back to the Royal Capital two days later.

Waving the flag of the royal legitimacy, he questioned the unbecoming power-grabbing actions of his younger brother.

Although the Second Prince’s power was weaker than the Eldest Prince’s, the Defensive Magic Array system in the Royal Capital prevented the Eldest Prince from breaking in immediately, leading to a stalemate.

.........

After reading through the newspaper’s headline story, Anvis suddenly felt as though he was walking through history.

He not only knew that the Second Prince would ultimately win in this tug-of-war, but he also knew that the battle would be at a deadlock for several months.

Later on, the Sixth Prince, who had already been pushed out of the power center and abandoned to fend for himself at the border city, would

arrive with a massive force of Magic-guided Mechanized Units from an unknown source, swiftly sweeping through the remaining forces of both sides and taking dominion over the Cuijing Palace.

In this coup, the Mechanical Army played an amazingly effective role.

Even though their controllers were all Third Rank Professionals, they could exert combat power comparable to Sixth Rank.

And when the Sixth Prince ascended to the throne, his first decrees included constructing Mechanical Factories, recruiting reservists for the Mechanical Army from Low Rank Professionals, and focusing on nurturing mechanics.

As well as pushing the development of Magic-guided Mechanical forcefully throughout the territory of the Leka Kingdom.

The origins of these High Rank Mechanical Army units aside,

It was clear to anyone with discernment that besides the Continent Magic Council, there was no other power that could provide such a large number of Mechanical Units with strength comparable to Sixth Rank at that point in time.

Meanwhile, as the Leka Kingdom underwent a change of rulership, a multitude of test data and materials related to Magic-guided Mechanical were laid out before various major powers.

Every ruler could see the epoch-making significance of the Magic-guided Mechanized Units.

After all, training a qualified middle to high rank army of Professionals would take an incredibly long time.

There might be shortcuts, but those would require the consumption of precious Cultivation Resources many times more than normal, hardly cost-effective.

Moreover, an army of Professionals trained in haste would have no way to compare in strength with one trained properly, and it would essentially be a waste of resources.

Except in very particular and special circumstances, no one would do such a thing.

But Mechanical is different; as a product of the magic production line, with the right technology and ample resources,

an original army of lowly Second and Third Rank fodder could become a front-line force with an average strength of Sixth Rank.

.........

As Anvis was recalling the ins and outs of the Leka upheaval, two Magic Time hours passed quickly.

"Dinglinglingling——"

A gentle, reminding Magic Bell Sound signaled that the Mechanical Airship ’Silver Spotted Flower’ had arrived at Violet City.

Putting the newspaper back in its place, Anvis, along with Jom, boarded the docking tower.

Along with others, they stood on the small platform at the top of the tower, gazing into the distance.

At that moment, on the horizon, a behemoth emitting a platinum radiance and as elegant as a cloud whale was slowly approaching the direction of the tower platform.

A gentle breeze passed by both sides of the spindle-shaped gasbag, fluttering the flags of the Chamber of Commerce hanging upon it. The dazzling afternoon sunlight enveloped the white exterior of the Airship, making it shimmer and shine.

As they approached the tower, the Mechanical Airship made a slight adjustment to its position. Below the massive gasbag, the proportionately minuscule silver airship cabin aligned its hatch with the Magic interface on the tower.

A faint White Light flickered as an inclined square metal passage protruded from the outer door of the airship cabin, connecting to the interface on the tower.

After some passengers disembarked from the airship, everyone boarded the passage in an orderly manner.

At the end of the passage was a silver Demonized Metal Wall, which could only be entered using a airship ticket produced by a special Magic Device.

Anvis held the ticket in his hand, and as he approached the metal wall, the metal ticket emitted a faint light, enveloping his entire body.

Lifting his leg and stepping into the silver metal wall, the metal layer rippled slightly, as if passing through a wall of water.

In the blink of an eye, the scene before him transformed into the silvery-white passageway inside the airship.

The same Spatial Enlargement Magic was applied here, making the space appear much larger than it seemed from the outside.

Several passengers from the airship passed through the distant corridor, apparently on their way to enjoy afternoon tea at the sky restaurant.

After briefly surveying the surroundings, Anvis, with map in hand located on the back of the airship ticket, set off with Jom to find their cabin.

However, what Anvis did not see was.

After he took Jom and disappeared into the turn of the cabin’s corridor.

In the distant corridor, suddenly appeared the figure of a golden-haired Half-Elf girl that he was familiar with.

...

Despite being touted as private cabins, the second-class cabins on the airship were quite small, only about three to four square meters in size.

The room contained only a metal bed, and a small square table fixed below the porthole.

Sitting cross-legged on the metal bed and feeling the steady flight of the airship, Anvis took out the "Mercury Prophecy Book" and began to read it again.

Using the Mechanical Airship’s speed, reaching Delas Port would take about a day.

This free time afforded him the opportunity to craft something small on the fly.

Since becoming a formal Prophet until now, he had collected a certain amount of Destiny feedback.

Not much, but already enough to create a rudimentary Destiny Tool.

Considering the uncertain journey ahead, Anvis first used the Mirror Silver Divination Skill to foresee his luck for this trip.

In the shallow basin, as the prophecy light points fell, the surface of the Moonlight Mercury, like a silver mirror, rippled in gentle, light waves.

It was somewhat disorderly, but overall still orderly.

This feedback suggested that his journey would not be very smooth, possibly facing some setbacks and obstacles, but overall there would be no great danger.

After the Divination, Anvis took out a Platinum Coin and placed it in the basin filled with Moonlight Mercury.

He prepared to attempt crafting one of the most basic Destiny Tools recorded in "Mercury Prophecy Book".

——Destiny Coin

’As the most rudimentary Destiny Tool, this object cannot provide significant help, but tossing it will always lead to some unexpected events.’

This is the introduction of the Destiny Coin from the Mercury Prophecy Book.

The materials needed to craft this Mysterious Object require a basin of Moonlight Mercury, two units of Destiny feedback, and a coin with different patterns on its two sides.

The coin that serves as the medium can be of any kind, but from a Destiny perspective, the older the history and the higher the value of the coin, the better.
