After waiting ten minutes for the excitement to calm down, uncle Zhang signalled the previous employee.

"Boss Mo and boss Qin are willing to support your development. However, every family has rules and we are no different. Please look at the final paper."

Hearing this, everyone stopped talking and waited for the final paper to be distributed to them.

When everyone had their paper, they began reading and uncle Zhang openly observed their reaction.

"Our family has five rules." Uncle Zhang started.

"Good." He said and continued.

"The second rule is about tasks. Once in a while, the main team will issue tasks or ask the affiliated teams to participate in joint missions. These tasks are not optional but you can be sure that the main team will not issue tasks that are undoable or beyond your level."

"What if we have already committed to another task and the schedules conflict?" Tang Jun asked in a solemn voice.

"Don’t worry. We are not unreasonable. If you can’t do the task for whatever reason, inform us on time and we will make other arrangements if your reason is valid. Similarly, we will rarely assign extremely urgent tasks unless it’s absolutely necessary."

"That said, contact me before accepting any external tasks. That way, we can avoid inconveniences and scheduling problems as much as possible."

"I understand." Tang Jun and several others nodded.

When they chose to become affiliated teams, they knew they would receive tasks from the main team.

However, the main team didn’t always have tasks and in the downtime, they were free to do their own things.

Knowing that the main team didn’t plan to curtail their activities, the affiliated teams were relieved and felt better about becoming subordinates.

"The third rule is ’no secretly killing each other’. In the event of an unsolvable conflict, bring the matter to us and we will ensure justice for the wronged party. Justice may be as simple as an apology or as harsh as an execution. We will show no bias or mercy to those who harm their fellow members."

"We understand." Everyone nodded and uncle Zhang continued.

"The fourth rule concerns supplies."

"The team supermarket will open tomorrow and all members can shop at will. However, excluding purified crystal cores, other goods have a purchase quota that cannot be exceeded within the specified time."

"Any person who is caught reselling our supplies may face a significant reduction of their purchase quota, revocation of their purchase right, or more serious repercussions, including death."

"Sir Zhang, can we resell purified crystal cores?" Someone asked.

"Purified crystal cores can be resold." Uncle Zhang said and quickly continued.

"Three to one is our internal price. After purchasing, you can resell them at whatever price you want."

Hearing this, everyone couldn’t help but be excited.

After all, one purified crystal core was equivalent to five non-purified ones.

Most importantly, purified crystal cores could be endlessly absorbed while one had to stop after absorbing four or five non-purified ones.

Seeing the team members’ excited faces, uncle Zhang frowned and immediately cautioned.

"You can sell your purified crystal cores but you must not short-change your practice. Don’t fall behind." He said and everyone nodded in understanding.

Although they were happy that they could resell the purified crystal cores, none of the members were stupid.

After all, in the apocalypse, wealth was good but strength was better.

Without strength, they wouldn’t even be able to protect their wealth, let alone save themselves from zombies, mutant plants, and beasts.

"The final rule pertains crime and morality. We don’t need you to be good people but we need you not to be evil." Uncle Zhang said and soon continued.

"You don’t need to help or care about others. However, don’t bully or kill innocent people. In the same way, it’s okay to pay for sex but don’t rape or participate in sex-related transactions involving unwilling people or minors."

"There is also the issue of cannibalism, kidnapping, enslaving and selling people, ..., always keep in mind that our team will never tolerate evil behaviour."

"We may be in an apocalypse but we must not lose our morality and principles. Stick to our bottom line. Otherwise, the consequences will be fatal if you are caught breaking this rule." Uncle Zhang warned.

"We indeed must stick to our principles." Li Shi agreed and others followed.

Seeing this, uncle Zhang nodded.

"Now to the next issue." He said.
