Rebirth: Living in Wilderness with My Superpower
Chapter 870: Peaceful Dwelling

Chapter 870: Chapter 870: Peaceful Dwelling

It’s usually him looking down on his apprentices, never had he imagined there’d come a day when an apprentice would look down on him.

He had originally planned to stay and provide technical guidance for his disciple, but the little apprentice was completely dismissive, simply indicating that she herself was okay.

"..." Mr. Dan He.

Shan Hai, however, was quite adept at handling such situations, merely patting his shoulder and saying, "Teaching out your own hunger is normal for a master; you’ll get used to it."

His few ungrateful disciples were just like that, ever since they grew up, he was no longer able to control them.

"..." Mr. Dan He.

If he had taught her everything he knew, that’d be one thing, but he had taught her only the basics. Now that the apprentice had really cured Li Wenli, it could only mean she was either self-taught or had found an even more skilled master.

If it’s the former, so be it; but if it’s the latter...

He couldn’t accept it; there was no one in the world better than him, damn it!

Shan Hai was unaware of Dan He’s thoughts, just patting him on the shoulder and asking him to go choose a house with him.

The little old man was very curious about everything here.

After all, he was a woodworker, and it was rare to come across an Immortal Mansion; naturally, he wanted to thoroughly study it.

Moreover, many of the designs here were innovative, and he was genuinely curious about how the houses were made with seamless joints.

As for Wu Nuan and the two Maids, they felt out of place here and thus had to find other things to do.

Such as preparing food or arranging for some bedding and such.

After all, Witch Ancestor Mountain itself was self-sufficient; everyone had to collect Insect Food while also managing various agrarian and sericultural productions, so they were clear on how to farm and weave.

The three of them didn’t need to be told and took the initiative to look for materials.

Ah Dao had planned to stay by the young master’s side, but thinking of the miss’s style, he felt somewhat reassured; there was nothing in this world that the miss couldn’t handle, so he decisively followed Wu Nuan and the rest out.

Ah Dao followed Wu Nuan like a guard, keeping a respectful distance behind her.

The Maids couldn’t help but covertly cover their mouths and laugh.

Wu Nuan gave them a disapproving glance but pretended not to see Ah Dao.

In this way, the four of them began to roam the ten-mile radius.

This vast area was certainly enough for Wu Nuan to find what she was looking for.

And indeed, it didn’t take long for everyone to spot the figure of Sword Hemp.

They saw clusters upon clusters of huge tiger-striped plants, with green leaves accompanied by chains of white flower buds standing over a meter tall, somewhat resembling bellflowers. Rather than being ornamental flowers for viewing, these Sword Hemp blooms had a unique charm of their own.

Ah Dao was admiring this exotic ambiance, while Wu Nuan and the Little Maid worked agilely, cutting Sword Hemp leaves.

Ah Dao belatedly followed their lead, only to find out upon handling them that the leaves were extremely tough and could easily cause cuts.

He silently looked at the young girl; although Wu Nuan had delicate fingers, she was very meticulous in her work.

Seeing this, Ah Dao was finally able to put his mind at ease and got to work himself.

In no time at all, the four of them had skinned a huge pile.

They bundled the Sword Hemp into four bundles, intending to carry them away divided among themselves, but Ah Dao with his long arms swept up two bundles in one arm and strode confidently back towards the courtyard.

Wu Nuan watched Ah Dao’s retreating back, her mouth curving into an almost imperceptible smile.

Back at the courtyard, Wu Nuan placed the Sword Hemp in the center, momentarily unsure of what to do.

The two Maids searched around and dragged over a few large stones, starting to pound the Sword Hemp to mash it.

Ah Dao had no idea what this was for, but Wu Nuan was not much of a talker and focused solely on the work without any chit-chat.

The Little Maid then explained with a smile on behalf of her master, "This is the best material for making blankets and clothes. Just pound the Sword Hemp, dry it, soak it, and rub it into threads to weave fabric."
