Chapter 88: Chapter 88 The Future Little Aunt (Four Updates)
"Uncle, seriously, what do you think about Sister Jiajia?" Tang Yue turned to him, asking earnestly.
Tang Mingli remained silent.
Tang Yue went on by herself: "From my female intuition, I can tell Sister Jiajia is definitely interested in you."
Since they were in the car, Tang Yue’s voice was much lower. Seeing Tang Mingli’s skeptical expression, she continued, "Uncle, I’m serious. When Sister Jiajia heard you were single, her eyes lit up."
Tang Mingli said, "Xiao Yue, I didn’t see that coming, you might have a knack for matchmaking."
"Add a matchmaker’s mole, and you’d look even more the part," Tang Mingli glanced at her radiant face. If she really had a matchmaker’s mole, it would probably be a beauty mark, right?
This adopted niece of his was truly flawless in appearance, with her round, almond-shaped eyes so spirited, and her features exceptionally delicate and attractive.
"Uncle, you are the matchmaker here," Tang Yue huffed, glaring at him. "Uncle, no offense, but now that you both have feelings for each other, you should bravely pursue her. You can’t expect the girl to chase you, can you?"
"Uncle, there’s a saying that goes, ’if you chase, you at least have a fifty percent chance. If you don’t, you’ll never break through that barrier.’"
"Especially since Sister Jiajia is interested in you too, you should definitely go for it. Otherwise, do you really want to stay single forever?"
Tang Yue’s words of persuasion flowed smoothly.
Tang Mingli wanted to say something, but ended up saying, "Xiao Yue, let’s just let things take their natural course."
"Then let things develop naturally," Tang Yue added. "I really think Sister Jiajia is wonderful, perfect to marry. Just seeing her smile makes all troubles seem to fade away."
Tang Mingli closed his eyes, choosing not to speak anymore.
Tang Yue didn’t say any more either. They returned to the town in silence, and it was a flurry of activity as they moved all the goods into the store. It was a major undertaking.
How the clothes were displayed, ensuring every type of clothing had complete sizes, were all things that needed to be checked thoroughly. Tang Yue had noted down each item’s cost price, but Tang Mingli also needed to make a careful record.
She was organizing the inventory list, comparing each item with Tang Mingli, and spent a lot of effort on displaying the clothes.
Tang Yue wanted to set it up like a boutique, but circumstances didn’t allow it, so she did her best to arrange the clothes more attractively, especially the fitting room, which she insisted on, and the sofa stools, which she had specially made by a carpenter so that customers could sit down.
Of course, the cash register area was specially designed by her as well, with two pots of green plants placed beside to give the shop a fresher feel.
"Xiao Yue, was there really a need to go all out with this setup?" Tang Mingli had felt it unnecessary when making the cash register area, but now seeing it in place, he felt it made the shop look better.
"Uncle, this setup really works. In the future, customers will come here to pay," Tang Yue explained the benefits of having a cash register as she surveyed it.
Suddenly, Tang Yue thought of something about plastic bags. If they could print bags with Mingyue Clothing on them, it could be a form of advertising. She asked, "Uncle, do you know if there’s anywhere nearby that makes plastic bags? If we could stick our label on the bags, whenever someone sees the bag, they’ll think of our store."
"That sounds expensive, doesn’t it?" Tang Mingli asked uncertainly.
"Uncle, think about it, it’s free advertising. Imagine how many more people would know about us and want to buy clothes?" Tang Yue just started listing the benefits when Tang Mingli agreed to handle it.
They had only finished sorting half of the clothes when it got dark, and Tang Jun came to call them home for dinner.
Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian were relieved to see Tang Yue safe and sound. They specially made braised pork and stewed a big river fish for dinner, along with a few other vegetable dishes, making for a lavish meal.
"Xiao Yue, eat more," Zhang Hualian kept urging Tang Yue to have more food.

After two busy days, the sign was up and the bags were being made, and the clothes in the shop were arranged. Only then did Tang Mingli belatedly ask, "Xiao Yue, the other day when you asked about the cotton candy machine, what were you planning to do?"
"Uh, it’s about Sister Deng’s husband, Brother Qi, who has trouble with his legs, and since Sister Deng has to work and take care of the child, I was thinking it might be good if Brother Qi had something to do to relieve some stress," Tang Yue explained, suddenly realizing she had forgotten to visit Sister Deng over the last few busy days.
She wondered if Sister Deng and Brother Qi would think she was a naive girl with too grand ideas.
"Xiao Yue, you’ve only known Deng Lanhua for a few days, and you’re already thinking so much for them?" Tang Mingli was curious. Although Tang Yue was kind-hearted, helping everyone she met might wear her out.
"Yes," Tang Yue replied without hesitation. "Seeing Brother Qi, Sister Deng, and Leilei so happy together, Brother Qi is honest. Even with his disability, he still works hard on the construction site. And with Leilei being so young, if Brother Qi had something to do, it would definitely be much better."
Tang Mingli asked, "Xiao Yue, if you just say that to Qi Song, do you think he would listen?"
"Uh..." Tang Yue was very unsure about this.
Tang Mingli suggested, "How about this, now that we are partners, why don’t we invite them over for dinner one day? It’ll be easier to bring up the subject while chatting."
Tang Yue immediately liked the idea.
The next day, she enthusiastically invited Sister Deng’s family over to her house for dinner and also made it clear they wanted to discuss a partnership and that her uncle wanted to meet Sister Deng.
Upon hearing this, Deng Lanhua immediately took interest, and after discussing with Qi Song, they decided to go. But, feeling awkward about going empty-handed, the couple bought some fruit.
Although Tang Mingli was trialing the operation of the store, he brought a lot of vegetables to Tang Yue’s house early in the morning, telling Tang Zhengde about the three guests coming for dinner.
Tang Zhengde promptly agreed.
For dinner, Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian added a few more dishes, and when Tang Mingli closed the store, he was in a great mood. Even though the store hadn’t officially opened, they had already made a few sales that day.
The only regret was forgetting to buy a mannequin in the Provincial City. Finally, Tang Mingli bought a used one from another store, planning to display the coat designed by Tang Yue on it tomorrow.
