"I’m fine with anything, where do you want to eat?" Tang Yue patted her stomach; during military training, she could barely swallow a bite of the school’s food—if it wasn’t for the fear of not being able to hold on, she wouldn’t have eaten at all. The dishes there weren’t fried, they were all boiled.

Having gotten used to the meals made by Tang Zhengde, Tang Yue had become quite picky about food. After spending a week at school, she had lost weight, feeling so hungry she could eat a cow.

Now, Tang Yue wasn’t in a hurry to choose a place to eat; she just wanted to have something to eat.

"Then, let’s do Katie Restaurant, the newly opened place. I’ve heard their boiled fish slices are exceptionally tasty," Qin Anyu thought for a moment and quickly decided on that.

"Sister An Yu hasn’t come to eat by yourself?" Tang Yue raised her eyebrows teasingly with a light laugh.

Qin Anyu pursed her lips and replied, "Well, I did want to come, but you weren’t around, and I felt awkward coming alone."

"It’s because Sister Rou and Sister Zhiqing weren’t free, right?" Tang Yue unreservedly exposed the truth. Qin Anyu was absolutely a foodie, having tried all the tasty things in Jing City. If she really knew this place was good, she couldn’t have resisted coming.

Qin Anyu glared at her. Once the two had become acquainted, they could say anything to each other. Joking around even made their relationship feel all the more intimate.

"Qin Anyu?" A female voice rang out.

Qin Anyu looked up, puzzled, and saw Gao Qianqian, Chu Xi, Meng Yanzhi, and his two hangers-on, Xue Zhishu and Feng Yongqing.

The three of them—Meng Yanzhi and his group—were a pair of a feather, flocking together. They were all prodigal sons, and they even had a laughably ridiculous name, ’The Three Musketeers.’

In Qin Anyu’s view, they were more like three stinky rats.

Qin Anyu’s originally radiant smile faded a bit as she said, "So you’re also dining here."

"What a coincidence," Gao Qianqian remarked, her gaze landing on Tang Yue, who sat opposite. Although she only saw a back view, it looked like she must be beautiful. Gao Qianqian naturally became curious about who the person sitting with Qin Anyu could be.

"I’m with a friend today, so I won’t be entertaining you guys," Qin Anyu stood up, her voice cool, said hello to Chu Xi and Meng Yanzhi, and then sat back down.

They thought the group would leave but, unexpectedly, Meng Yanzhi came forward.

"An Yu, when did you meet such a beautiful lady?" Meng Yanzhi took off his sunglasses and directly sat down in the empty seat next to Tang Yue.

The chairs in this restaurant were like modern built-in sofas, but Tang Yue, being alone, naturally sat in the middle. The space she left on both sides wasn’t very much, and when a big guy like Meng Yanzhi sat down, that little bit of space felt too cramped for him.

Tang Yue hadn’t even spoken when Meng Yanzhi was already pulled away by Qin Anyu. Others might fear him, but Qin Anyu certainly did not.

Caught off guard, Meng Yanzhi really was pulled away by Qin Anyu, leaving Tang Yue stunned beside. She never knew that Sister An Yu, who always appeared delicate, could be so... formidable.

Meng Yanzhi stumbled a few steps and though it took him a few more to steady himself, once he did, his arrogant demeanor returned.

"Mr. Meng, are you okay?" Gao Qianqian, who was slow to realize what was happening, stepped forward to support Meng Yanzhi.

Meng Yanzhi shrugged off Gao Qianqian and sat himself directly across from them, his eyes sticking to Tang Yue the whole time. He placed his toad sunglasses on the table, leaned back in his chair, and even lit a cigarette.

"An Yu, who is this? Why don’t you introduce us?" Meng Yanzhi smiled and said, "We all grew up together, and since we’ve met, I’ll host. Let’s all have a meal together."

"An Yu, having a meal shouldn’t be too much, right? You won’t refuse even this bit of courtesy, will you?" Meng Yanzhi blocked all of An Yu’s possibilities for retreat.

Qin Anyu whispered to Tang Yue secretly: "Xiao Yue, I’ll call the driver to take you home first."

"We are all friends, let’s eat together." Without a second word, Meng Yanzhi combined tables to make a big one, set up a screen, and created an impromptu private booth. There was no chance for Qin Anyu and the others to leave.

Qin Anyu was anxious at heart. If she had known, she wouldn’t have brought Xiao Yue to Katie Restaurant. Seeing Meng Yanzhi’s manner, he clearly had his sights set on Yueyue.

"Who is this beautiful lady?" Gao Qianqian stared intently at Tang Yue, originally thinking that Qin Anyu, who had learned to dress well, was already pretty enough. But now, seeing Tang Yue, the remarkable quality of her beauty was obvious at a glance as the two sat side by side.
