Chapter 141: Chapter 141: Meeting Again (Four Updates)

"And also, has your uncle recently been eating more nutritious food to replenish his health?" Wei Jiajia asked eagerly as she moved forward, even neglecting the customers who had been wholesale buying clothes from her store moments ago.

"Sister Jiajia, you asked so many questions at once, I don’t even know which to answer first." Tang Yue looked at Wei Jiajia’s concerned gaze and helplessly spread her hands.

She had just come in, no, to be precise, she was still standing at the doorway when Wei Jiajia bombarded her with a heap of questions, and she hadn’t even had a chance to catch her breath.

Wei Jiajia’s face turned red as she realized she had been too hasty. She slowed down her speech and pulled Tang Yue into the store, then poured her some tea.

While drinking the tea, Tang Yue said, "Sister Jiajia, you greet the customers first. We can talk later."

Wei Jiajia was eager to know about Tang Mingli’s situation, but with several customers waiting, she had to suppress her anxious heart.

Usually, Wei Jiajia would hope for many customers to come buy her clothes when she was minding the store, so she wouldn’t sit idle, feeling as if time was dragging by.

Never like now, wishing the customers would stop coming to her store.

Yet, it seemed the heavens did not hear Wei Jiajia’s prayers as customers kept flowing into the store, keeping Wei Jiajia too busy to talk to Tang Yue.

Tang Yue didn’t mind and began stocking up on goods from Wei Jiajia’s store. Children’s clothes were extremely popular at Mingyue Clothing Store, even selling better than women’s clothes.

This time selecting clothes, Tang Yue specifically chose those that sold well and were of good quality.

When Wei Jiajia was unavailable, she would pick out the styles and sizes herself, piling them together. After she was done selecting everything, Wei Jiajia would just tally the prices.

After Tang Yue finished her selections and sat down, Wei Jiajia had also seen off the last batch of customers.

"Xiao Yue." Wei Jiajia spoke, panting and exhausted from the busyness.

Tang Yue timely handed her a glass of water and said, "Uncle’s wound is healing nicely. He changed the dressing the day he returned, and will change it again today. The wound should be scabbing over now."

"You can rest assured about uncle’s meals; I cook for him every day, guaranteed to get him back in shape," Tang Yue said with a smile, signaling Wei Jiajia not to worry.

"That’s good to hear." Wei Jiajia felt relieved upon hearing that Tang Mingli’s wound was recovering well, easing her previously worried heart.

Tang Yue took out a letter and some clothes from her bag and handed them over, saying, "This dress is from our Mingyue Clothing, and this letter is from uncle to you."

"He wrote me a letter?" Wei Jiajia said in surprise, holding the letter, which was not very thick but definitely not just a single page. Even in Xiao Yue’s presence, and her curiosity to know what was written, she restrained her excitement, took out the dress first. It was a floral dress with beautifully done details at the cinched waist and lotus sleeves that looked very pretty. The fabric felt very soft and comfortable in hand.

This color was very flattering on the skin. Wei Jiajia immediately went to try it on in the back. The dress fit her perfectly, accentuating her tall figure. Her bust wasn’t particularly full, even slightly small, but the ruffled details at the chest beautifully enhanced her figure.

The dress was above the knee, showing off her long legs, and the waist-cinching design seemed to make her waist even more slender.

"Beautiful." Wei Jiajia admired herself in the mirror several times. She had not seen this dress in the Provincial City, nor had she seen it in Shenzhen.

"Little Uncle is really amazing, he even knows exactly what size I wear," Tang Yue said teasingly, laughing. She had designed many clothes, but only this model was a short skirt that reached above the knees.

Similarly, this skirt, though bold, was bought by many.

Wei Jiajia occasionally tugged at her skirt, feeling that it was too short as her legs were clearly exposed, making her somewhat uncomfortable.

"Sister Jiajia, if the skirt were any longer, it wouldn’t look as nice," Tang Yue said with a smile, then added, "Sister Jiajia, besides this, there is something else for you, but before that, could you please calculate the price of these clothes for me?"

"Sure," Wei Jiajia replied suspiciously, not giving it much thought. She quickly started calculating using an abacus, and soon the price was determined.

After Tang Yue had paid, she helped Wei Jiajia pack the clothes and then asked, "Sister Jiajia, I can’t carry these to the station by myself. Could you please help me find someone? I don’t know anyone here, so could you please look for someone to help?"

"Of course," Wei Jiajia promptly agreed.

Tang Yue handed over the box with a meaningful expression, "Sister Jiajia, this is the engagement ring Little Uncle sent for you. I’m standing here, so it would be embarrassing for you to look at it. So, I’ll go get supplies from Sister Wei’s place and come back later to meet you."

As soon as she finished speaking, Tang Yue left swiftly.

Holding the small box in her hand, the words ’engagement ring’ lingered in Wei Jiajia’s mind. She hid behind the counter, quietly opened the box, and admired the gold ring adorned with flowers— it was quite beautiful. She slipped the ring on her finger; it fit perfectly.

Wei Jiajia did not know how Tang Mingli knew her finger size.

With her face flushed and her heart racing with excitement, Wei Jiajia almost wanted to tell the whole world that she had received an engagement ring, that she had found the person to spend her life with.

By the time Tang Yue returned dragging the goods, the blush on Wei Jiajia’s face had not yet faded. Tang Yue, not wanting to embarrass Jiajia, did not ask anything else.

"Sister Xiao Yue, please take this letter to your Little Uncle," Wei Jiajia, still blushing, handed over the letter.

"Okay," Tang Yue took the letter and put it in her bag.

Wei Jiajia quickly added, "Xiao Yue, I have arranged for someone to help you; they’ll be here soon."

Shortly after, the people Wei Jiajia had arranged came over and started helping with Tang Yue’s things without a word. Tang Yue quietly asked about the cost, to which Wei Jiajia said, "Xiao Yue, it’s not much money, and since the station is near, if there is any fee, let your Little Uncle pay it."

Wei Jiajia, unwilling to accept money, left it for Tang Mingli to handle.

With just a small package left, Wei Jiajia hadn’t expected her to buy so much. Initially planning to ask for another person’s help, Tang Yue quickly intervened, "Sister Jiajia, no worries, I can carry this package of clothes."

Tang Yue insisted and carried the package of clothes to follow the others to the station. Even though it was a small package, the bag was quite heavy, and Tang Yue walked slowly.

Being petite, Tang Yue, with the package of clothes in a black bag was almost buried under its weight.
