Chapter 134: Chapter 134 Comparison (Second Update)

They made their way back to the hospital in Wangjiang County, with Tang Yue helping Tang Mingli out of the car, and Mo Siyu, assisted by Mo Xiaolin and the doctor, also got out of the car and onto a wheelchair.

Mo Siyu wore a white shirt, and Tang Yue happened to be walking behind them when she suddenly exclaimed, "Uncle Mo, has your wound split open?"

"Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?" Mo Xiaolin quickly asked, concernedly looking at Mo Siyu.

Mo Siyu pressed his lips together and said, "Mom, it’s nothing. Let’s go inside."

Mo Siyu spoke calmly, showing no sign of distress.

Once inside the hospital, both Tang Mingli and Mo Siyu had their wounds reopened for examination.

"Be gentle, it hurts," Tang Mingli said as his wound on his back was quickly reopened, while Mo Siyu had his cast removed first to check the healing progress of his leg injury.

"Uncle, just bear with it a little."

Tang Yue supported Tang Mingli’s shoulder, looking at the bloody and flesh-exposed wound on his back that had been stitched up, looking extraordinarily ferocious. The thought that these injuries were sustained for her filled Tang Yue with immense guilt.

In her heart, Tang Yue thought that once they got home, she must properly help Uncle Mo recuperate.

The cold antiseptic solution was applied over the wound, making Tang Mingli feel a slight itchy and painful sensation.

The nurse skillfully redressed Tang Mingli’s wound, and once he put his clothes back on, he immediately felt much more comfortable.

"Si Yu, if it hurts, you can bite Mom’s hand," Mo Xiaolin stretched out her hand and placed it near Mo Siyu’s mouth.

His wounds had burst open again due to the long transfer to the hospital, with blood flowing out once more. Taking off the clothes that had stuck to the wound was a shocking sight to see.

It was the first time Mo Xiaolin saw Mo Siyu’s wounds up close; she had always happened to be away when the dressings were being changed previously and hadn’t seen them.

Now, seeing the new and old injuries on Mo Siyu’s body, as well as the torn wounds, her eyes instantly reddened.

"Mom, this wound just looks scary," Mo Siyu gripped Mo Xiaolin’s hand, not wanting her to worry.

Standing aside, Tang Yue supported Tang Mingli and hadn’t left yet, she saw the new and old wounds on Mo Siyu’s back which looked much more frightening than Tang Mingli’s.

"Mom, it doesn’t hurt," Mo Siyu stated placidly, his expression as if nothing had happened, as if the pain wasn’t his to bear.

Even the nurse’s movements became gentler.

Mo Siyu’s face remained unchanged, as if he was unaffected by the injuries.

Tang Mingli remained silent, thinking about his own recent situation and suddenly felt somewhat ashamed.

Tang Yue gripped Tang Mingli’s hand tightly without realizing.

"Does it hurt?" Tang Mingli looked moved.

Tang Yue pursed her lips, glancing at him, and softly said, "No, it’s just that the wound looks very frightening."

"Oh..." Tang Mingli instinctively disbelieved her words.

Tang Yue stopped speaking and listened as the doctor inspected Mo Siyu’s wound, confirming there was no inflammation. Only then did her hanging heart relax.

Tang Yue accompanied Tang Mingli back to the shop; it was closer, plus it was right by the road. Tang Mingli’s rented room was in a narrow alley that cars could not enter.

"Uncle, take it easy." Tang Yue carefully assisted Tang Mingli out of the car, afraid that he might tear his wound while getting out.

"It’s nothing." Tang Mingli gritted his teeth as he got out of the car, feeling that after seeing Mo Siyu’s injuries, his own were nothing in comparison.

"Sister, Uncle, you’re back." Tang Jun ran out from the backyard, excited to see Tang Yue and Tang Mingli return and rushed towards them.

"Hiss."

Tang Mingli sharply inhaled.

"Xiao Jun." Tang Yue quickly pulled Tang Jun away and said, "Uncle is injured. Don’t bump into him."

"How did Uncle get injured?" Tang Jun, who was now a teenager, quickly apologized upon hearing that Tang Mingli was injured: "Uncle, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it. Uncle, where did you get hurt? It’s not serious, is it?"

Tang Jun fired a series of questions, anxiously looking at Tang Mingli.

"It’s fine." Tang Mingli broke out in a cold sweat from the collision, but after a moment, he felt much better. He walked into the shop and sat down, asking, "Why aren’t Brother and Sister-in-law in the shop?"

"Mom and Dad should be at the station, and then they are going to check the new house before coming back to the shop." Tang Jun spoke rapidly: "Mom and Dad have been talking about how you guys haven’t returned these past few days. Uncle, how did you get injured? Did something happen in Shenzhen?"

"Ah, it’s a long story." Tang Mingli sighed deeply. He hadn’t expected something like this to happen at the last minute.

Tang Yue brought the stuff to the yard, poured some cool boiled water for Tang Mingli, and asked, "Uncle, that old factory building you mentioned last time, there’s no problem with it, right?"

"The old factory is fine, I had already rented it before going to Shenzhen. It’s just a bit old and a single-story building, lots of places need to be changed," Tang Mingli explained, gesturing to show the size and condition of the factory.

Tang Yue handed him a sheet of paper and asked him to sketch it out.

"Uncle, I think it’s fine if the factory is big. Later on, we can enclose it, and when we have money, we can build new factory buildings next to it. For now, we can just make do with the old one. Also, Uncle, you said there’s a row of old dormitories there, right? They don’t leak, do they?"

Tang Yue asked very specifically.

Tang Jun sat by the side, eating the roast duck that Tang Yue had brought back from Shenzhen. Although it wasn’t as delicious as the one her classmate had brought last time, the flavor was still very good.

Tang Jun tore off a duck leg and chewed it enthusiastically, almost cleaning the bone completely.

Tang Yue and Tang Mingli’s conversation, he listened in a daze, without a chance to interject.

When Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian came back, they just happened to see that the uncle and nephew were wrapping up their conversation.

"Xiao Yue, you’re back." Zhang Hualian saw her daughter safely sitting there, and the worries of the last few days immediately subsided.

"Mom and Dad." Tang Yue happily stood up and said, "We’ve returned safely."

"Uncle is injured." Tang Jun looked at Tang Zhengde about to pat Tang Mingli and quickly spoke up; he had just overlooked the matter.

"Where are you hurt?" Tang Zhengde worriedly moved forward, almost wanting to tear the clothes and see where exactly the injury was.

"Honestly," Tang Mingli replied, "I’m hurt on my back, but it’s nothing serious now. It’s almost healed."

"What happened when you went to Shenzhen? How did you get injured?" Zhang Hualian’s heart, just settled, suddenly soared with concern again. She asked, "Xiao Yue, you aren’t hurt, are you?"

Zhang Hualian checked Tang Yue over, fearing she too was injured.

"I’m fine." Tang Yue quickly assured that she wasn’t injured and gratefully said, "Uncle got hurt while saving me."
